We went with Pattinson Estate Agents because when the agent came to do the valuation we were told that they offered a superior service to other agents and that we would always be able to speak to someone. From the start the service has been shocking. We still haven’t received a for sale sign despite the property being up since May- I understand that COVID has posed some challenges but we are still getting charged for a sign we haven’t received! The sign comes in with Pattinson’s fees, and when I complained about paying for something I didn’t receive I was told I won’t get a reduction for the price of the board. We also have had to chase for updates consistently, I even had to chase head office to contact me about my complaint. When I finally did get through the person I spoke to assured they would call me (I had the day in writing) yet they didn’t and I ended up chasing again. My complaint was then passed to another department and when I hadn’t heard anything 13 days later lo and behold I ended up chasing head office again. When I did get to speak to head office they were very blasé about the poor service I had received. All in all I wouldn’t use Pattinson Estate Agents again after all the stress and work it has caused for me and I couldn’t honestly recommend them at all.

AWFUL. Rubbish from the start for a first time private renter. I explained that I was unsure what to do with deposits, paperwork and such so my whole application process took much longer and I was handing in the wrong things without being advised that she was still waiting for the right documents, so I thought I had done everything right! It took longer than any two weeks to get signed up anyways rendering my initial holding fee useless!!! No help at all. I was misinformed when I handed my deposit over that it would automatically be put into a deposit holding scheme where nobody can touch it until I moved out. Well that was WRONG, yes it is in my contract that it is soley down to the Landlord what he does with my money, but I did not get that AFTER they took my money. I emailed for help twice after I left the property to which nobody replied, not even to say they couldn't help! It was stressful enough moving right at the start of the corona lockdown without having any help. What is the point of a letting agency for renters?? I am now stuck in a dispute three months later and I don't think I will get it back. Don't give your customers face to face misinformation about the protection of their monies - just be honest and straight up. I have avoided using Pattinson again just for the fact their customer service is severly sub par, especially at Gosforth. DO NOT RECCOMEND FOR RENTERS.

It sounds like the landlord manages your property, so they would be responsible for registering your damage deposit and dealing with its return at the end of the tenancy.

GoogleThe service I was given from Pattinsons in Alnwick was great. Maruf was very helpful and flexible about being able to get into the property. He was very professional in his service and made the buying process very easy for me. I live in Scotland and therefore the English system was very different and he helped enormously in negotiating my way through the system. Thank you very much.

Ness Mumford has been outstanding, following up issues and keeping me up to date throughout the process. Excellent communication from the start of the process and look forward to smooth sale . The Forest Hall branch were excellent especially Donna who had to deal with the sellers solicitor Bindman of Gateshead. At times I did not think our purchase would complete but with her patience and great communication between the seller and solicitor we eventually completed even though this was later than we hoped. After a failed attempt at selling our house with another Estate Agent,we decided to change and commission Pattinson’s as our Estate Agent. What a great decision this turned out to be. James’s knowledge of the local market and what people were looking for pitched our price at the right level and he produced the new sales brochure which was amazing and within two days of going live we had an offer on our asking price with potential viewers still in reserve. Assisted brilliantly by Kelly and the rest of the office team the sale was seamless and completed from start to finish in 9 weeks. I really cannot recommend the Pattinson’s Alnwick team enough especially in their marketing and knowledge of the local market.

DO NOT USE. These people are useless, enquired once, heard nothing and now they email and text with no opt out everyweek and will not delete my data. They have been flogging the same house via email and text for over a year now, so clearly they can't sell your house. STAY AWAY

Please be very carefull when renting your property via Pattinsons don’t use any of there contractors very over priced I paid £168 to have an electric check which I could have done by an independent company for £90 . energy efficiency rate was also double the price of independent company stay well clearMy advice don’t trust Pattinsons letting to give you the best deal shop around please save you a lot of money

Good Afternoon. The fixed wiring test is a legal requirement for renting your property out. You had the option of choosing your own contractor to undertake the fixed wiring test or requesting that we arrange the work - the option was entirely at your discretion. The cost of the test was made clear from the outset, which you agreed to and paid for upfront. Unfortunately, the contractor is unable to offer a refund once the work has been completed as requested.

Pattinsons are excellent at ensuring that all of the checks and documentation for a rental property is correct and completed in a timely fashion... it took a week from viewing the property to the checks being completed. Our dealings of selling a house with the Stockton-on-Tees branch was terrible,they omitted key details in the house description,they were informed of this,said they would update and didn't,the house went to auction with a realistic reserve(which was our bottom line),it didn't sell, so the auction house then sold it for 8k less(which was 18k less than the agent assured us it would make),we were not told this would happen when we signed up.IF you decide to use this company I would suggest always use email rather than phone so you have everything in black and white so they have no wiggle room,I would also suggest using a solicitor to check out their small print before signing up with them

From the moment we made contact with the Houghton branch they were fantastic. Dan kindly valued our property a good 3-4 months prior to us actually going on the market. After the valuation there was no pressure to use them & 3 months later we made contact again to finally put our house on the market, which was a very quick and simple process. During the pictures we had some additional requests to remove wall art from the published pictures, which again was never to much to ask from Dan who was extremely friendly and professional throughout. Sue, the manager of the branch was also extremely helpful when we spoke to her. Overall a great customer experience and would certainly recommend to anyone in the local area of Houghton to use.
