I had a very poor experience with this agency, and I’m writing this review as a warning to other renters. I was told my offer on a flat had been accepted and was asked to pay a holding deposit to “take it off the market [and] cancel any viewings”. I paid within the hour, and withdrew from another property on the strength of that acceptance. I was then told my offer was being withdrawn because viewings had continued in the meantime and another applicant had been chosen. When I called to discuss it with George Daly, I was repeatedly interrupted and told the matter was closed. I wasn't looking for an argument, just an explanation and a fair hearing, and I didn't get either. I understand that a landlord can choose another applicant before a tenancy is signed. But an agency that takes a holding deposit, tells a tenant the property will be held, and then doesn’t hold it has not acted professionally or in good faith. If this is how a prospective tenant is treated before any contract is signed, I would have serious concerns about how that tenant would be treated during a tenancy, when the agency holds your deposit and controls disputes. I would definitely NOT recommend this agency.

Chloe - thank you so much for you help and apologies this review took a while to write. Myself and my partner bought a house through Chloe at Tate & Co. While my partner had a nightmare scenario with the selling of her property, we were so lucky to have had Chloe support us on the buying side. At 4 o clock on the moving day we still didn't have keys (selling solicitors issue). Without Chloe staying late and pushing the move forward, then myself, my partner and our 6 week old son would have been without a home for the evening. If you're buying or selling your house there's no one I'd trust more than Chloe. Thank you for going above and beyond

Only dealt with them 5 years ago as being tenants in a house that was sold. The agent made me feel very belittled and in the end I "presented" the property to the investor. We are still her tenants. She was also earlier at the estate than agreed and called the then landlord to ask why she does not have access. Be on time. That's the simplest answer.

Just sold my flat through Tate - a great service - David Harbottle was particularly helpful and responsive at all times. I've been a client of Tate for more than fifteen years. I can't fault them. I first left a review (below) when I moved into the flat, and I wanted to leave another one three years later to share my experience with Natalia as the Property Manager. 2025: I have had a really positive experience with Natalia. She is always responsive, helpful, and a fantastic communicator between me and the landlord. Whenever an issue has come up, she has been quick to act and very flexible in finding solutions, which has made a huge difference to my experience living in what truly feels like my dream flat. It is also reassuring to know that she is just around the corner if anything comes up, and even when things need to be sorted remotely, she is incredibly proactive and professional. Natalia brings a warm and friendly approach but also clearly knows how to get things done, with great contractor contacts and a lot of experience.
