Firstly, all reviews left on our platform, both positive and negative, are genuine reviews left by investors reflecting on the experience that they have had with our company. The property you have purchased has been delivered to you as per the signed lease plans in your contract particulars, which you have signed and accepted as being correct as per the agreed plans and specification. Following this you raised several issues with our post-exchange team directly and our team has been actively working with you since this happened in order to come to a resolution as a gesture of goodwill in respect of your complaint. It is also untrue that you were recently ‘provided with a cost quote of £15,000 for a balcony’ No quotes or discussions of this nature have been provided as it is not in our remit to do so. We are aware that you are already in communication with our post-sales department regarding the issues you have raised and would urge you to continue to communicate with them regarding the matter should you wish to discussfurther. Dear Kareem, We appreciate your frustration but it is important to note that the property you purchased was a purpose built student accommodation purchased prior to the global Covid-19 Pandemic. As you may recall, the pandemic impacted on every business sector across the UK but in particular the impact on the student rental market was particularly severe and long lasting in respect of properties built before the pandemic. During the pandemic many students had to vacate properties and return home to study. This in turn had an unprecedented impact on the student rental market. Further to this, further unforeseen economic factors such as rising national minimum wages, the cost of living and energy crisis felt across the UK have all seen increases to basic service costs, as well as energy costs, which although could not have been foreseen, have contributed to increased service charge budgets across the industry as a whole. This in turn will naturally have an impact as outlined in your feedback however we expect that that given time, rental values will continue to rise, which in turn will offset increased service costs, and lead to a positive impact on property values. We have tried to reach out to you following your feedback, but were unable to make contact.
