GoogleWe bought our current home from this company, when we went in to list it we found the staff full of attitude and not customer focussed at all.
We sold via another agent and recently tried to register with them for a purchase of up to £1.2m and again the staff attitude was very odd.
We never managed to register and frankly won’t bother. Not sure why anyone would sell via this agent, if you receive a poor experience as a customer then people looking to buy your house will have this same experience.
Many better agents in Lewes like Charles Wycherley or Caroline in Oakley’s and Sue in Cubitts

GoogleIndependent estste agents 'all the time', I will never use a corporate agent again. My experience with Rowland Gorringe has been nothing but positive. They listen, they do not try to sell all and sundry IE not tied to achieving targets/hits on mortgage sale, solicitor sale etc. They send genuine buyers suited to your property. My advice if putting your house on the market with a corporate agent, is to insist on running your own viewings if you have the time and courage; with the purpose of asking each viewer the property type they were seeking, price bracket and their current position. From personal experience and knowledge of friends who fell into the same trap of going with highest valuation (corporate) the majority of viewers sent were either short on budget, not suited to the property description and not in a position to proceed. Once a few have passed through the door, you are then advised to reduce! Good sales trick! An independent are happy to try your value expectations with the advantage of sending genuine viewers suited to your property on a positive tarrif. Remember we all search Rightmove; corporate have no additional power apart from hard sales, targets and unnecessary indulgent apps. Final note; Rowland Gorringe communications has been second to none! Happy home sales whoever you choose!

GoogleContacted them the other day and said we wanted to look at some properties, the gentleman we spoke to on the phone was abrupt and said just come down and pop in , we had driven 110miles to be told when we got there, to busy and in so many words not interested, didn’t say also the estate agents was appointment only.
