Very disappointing customer service. I called to arrange a viewing for a property that was advertised as being available for sale, only to be told that the property had already been sold. Despite this, the listing was still being advertised and had not been removed, which I found very misleading and a waste of potential buyers’ time. I also asked whether they could take my details so I could be contacted about any similar properties in the future. Unfortunately, there was no interest whatsoever in doing this, and I was left feeling that they simply weren’t interested in helping. The whole experience was extremely unhelpful and lacked basic customer care. I would expect an estate agent to keep their listings up to date and make some effort to assist potential buyers, even when a particular property is no longer available. Sadly, that was not my experience here.

We contracted with Murray Uppingham to sell our cottage. From the outset James was very personable and easy to work with whilst keeping the right level of professionalism. Throughout a long and arduous sales period in a somewhat depressed market, both James and in particular Jayne in the office, were always very optimistic and responsive. It was Jayne that finally managed to find the right buyers, who had already viewed a couple of properties and hadn't considered our cottage. She singled out Spring Cottage as a potential that could tick their boxes and secured a viewing. After a positive viewing, just 3 weeks later we exchanged contracts. During that time, Jayne kept both us, the seller, and the buyers in regular contact and made the process very smooth. She can take much of the credit for a job well done. Thank you to both James and Jayne and of course the back-office team

We needed a quick sale of our property in Uppingham in order to buy an house nearer to family. After 5 disappointing months with a nearby estate agent, we switched to Murray in Uppingham. The house went on the market Monday, 2 views Tuesday and we accepted an offer on Thursday. The move was completed 4 months later, thanks to Jayne and James. Excellent professional, caring and very thorough service.

Very professional estate agency. Use their services for both renting and house out and then selling it. On both occasions both the letting team and selling team were very good keeping us informed and giving advice when asked for and advising on things we were not aware of. Would thoroughly recommend Murray’s for both selling and as a rental agency.

From the very start when James came to talk to me at my late mums house he was lovely and considerate and then once it was on the market Jayne couldn’t have been more helpful she was always ion the end of a phone or email and without her the whole process would have been a million times harder, I would recommend Murray’s in a heartbeat

All good. Great communication, always answered my questions ( I had many!) and got the job done pretty quickly and well under the market conditions. I really have no complaints. Used them to buy the house 45 years ago, and sell it . Just sad to be leaving this lovely country town.

The team from Murray were great at every step of listing and selling my house in Melton Mowbray. James valued, photographed and listed my property in good time and managed to find a buyer with no chain at the asking price within a week. Julia was fantastic at communicating all the details and updates with both sides of the purchase which made for a swift and smooth transaction. Fantastic service from all the ladies in the sales office. Their communication was spot on.They were all very proactive throughout, from arranging viewings on my property, right through to completion.
