Couldn’t get through to my lawyer

I find Lauren McGhie to be friendly and helpful. I, and my husband, have employed Lauren to arrange our wills. Prior to that, I dealt with Lauren when I was Executor for my Dad's will and was very pleased with Lauren's assistance.

Shocking experience, was quoted £1000 to £1500 for a simple divorce and after only 2 weeks the lawyer passed it to her intern as if she couldn't be bothered with us, I paid the £1500 plus another £100 and to my horror I received another invoice for over £2700 once my divorce was through after being quoted £1500 for my full divorce process minus a couple hundred pounds here or there if additional paperwork was needed, these charges are obscene, stay away from this company as bills appear and are fabricated from nowhere, I'm now having to goto court to fight this, but no matter what happens I will not pay it I wil go bankrupt before I do, I have nothing to loose

If I could give them a minus 1 then I would do not use them.

Read papers from the SLCC shared online regarding a complaint against Lauren McGhie - one of their private client team. The solicitor made a number of mistakes in the Confirmation. The solicitor didn't even check if the name on the title deeds matched those of the deceased. This delayed the sale of the property by a number of weeks. Worse still, the solicitor didn't even inform the clients of her mistakes. Instead, she went off on holiday and left it to the conveyancing firm to inform the client. Nor did they bother to order a copy of the correct deeds before going on holiday. Lacking honesty, lacking integrity, and lacking any of the competencies necessary to do the job. Definitely one to avoid. A disgrace to the legal profession

I used Lindsay’s solicitors for help when I was in car crash that was not my fault. I worked mainly with Pauline who was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. So empathetic and really fighting my corner every step of the way. They made this process so painless and easy for me. They catered to any of my needs or adjustments I had and were amazing at breaking down the legal jargon. I hope I am never in the same position again but if I am I’ll be using them

Not a good company losing important paperwork to start the ball rolling. After making complaints blame for the companies fault was put on me. Refused to fix matters disallowed me to speak to clients relations manager then I was expecting the chairman of the company to contact to resolve it very much a defensive no blame on the company culture at lindsays a terrible company who have no moral compass or any care at all just money from other people's misery that illuminates them other companies out there doing it better. Money grabbing firm that has its ivory towers at customers expense.

We used Lindsays solicitors to submit a number of offers in properties and were very happy with their service. Staff were very friendly and helpful, from the reception staff to the solicitors themselves. No complaints.

We were advised by our solicitor to contact Lindsays to give us professional advice about our family Trust having recently moved from England to Scotland. We spoke with Dawn Anderson and she was brilliant, we got a quick response from start to finish and it only took 7 days to resolve with the best result we could have wished for just before christmas. Thank you very much and really recommended.

I live in the states. I worked with Nicole Noble and Patricia Adams, both of whom handled my late Aunt’s case with dignity. I appreciated the effort of Ms.Adams in sending me per my request, documents at a certain time of the month which was paramount in my situation. I highly recommend this agency.

We would never use them. Brian Pollock and John Bett were the ones who dealt with our case a few years and very disappointed with the them. No results what so ever but all they cared about was there Fee!

Please don't waste your money using these solicitors (especially for home buying / selling) Quote you one price then add on another £300 when you get the final bill and can't explain to you why Don't expect any sort of communication unless you contact them first. And expect to do a lot of the work yourself anywayNegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

I called them to hire a solicitor, they took my details and said they would call me back. I was waiting for their call but it never happened and by the time I managed to get another solicitor (different company) the property I wanted to put an offer on was under offer. I don't recomend this companyNegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism
