Property sale

We used Lindsay's recently to sell my late mother in law's property and have found that everyone we dealt with was excellent and knowledgeable. From Nahdean who valued the property and arranged the marketing of the property, to Gillian and her team who arranged the viewings and to Adele who has been our contact during the completion process. Special thanks go to Adele for her professionalism and persistence in dealing with the buyers' lawyers who have not been as responsive as they should have been. We would have no hesitation in using Lindsay's property team again.

Trustworthy and Thorough

We have now had Lindsays deal with two wills, the wrapping up of two estates, and a house sale. Everything went smoothly though, as with all legal processes, it seemed very slow. However, this was no fault of Lindsays, just the systems they have to work with. Each of the individual cases was dealt with a little more quickly than their estimates, and they kept us right on all the ins-and-outs that might otherwise have tripped us up. The paralegal dealing with us was particularly good, communicated well by email and letter, and was always ready to answer the phone. I'd definitely go back to them but I'd prefer it not to be too soon, thank you.

I would highly recommend Ernie Boath for setting up Trusts

I would highly recommend Ernie Boath, who set up our Family Trust recently. Joanna Saigeon, also did a sterling job transferring the Title Deeds of our houses. The firm is very knowledgeable and experienced and everything was carried out within a very quick timescale. Both were upfront with estimated costs at the start of the process and we felt in very safe hands throughout.

Recently I had the pleasure of receiving support & guidance from Samera Ali in preparation of my Will & POA. They are difficult documents to prepare with regards to the impact and importance of decisions to make, but throughout the process, Samera was very approachable, friendly, helpful, constructive and compassionate. The marketing of the property was straightforward, but the conveyancing - negotiating the contract and dealing with the technical aspects of the sale - had a number of complexities. Mairi Innes from Lindsays' Perth team dealt with the issues pragmatically and effectively, with a focus on taking the steps needed to ensure that the sale concluded promptly, and with no avoidable challenges. Lindsays' fees are at the higher end of the scale, but they are transparent about them, and this was a clear example of getting what you pay for. An excellent service.

I used Lindsays to help me administer my late father's estate and to handle the sale of his flat. Overall the service was good - the team were quick to respond to enquiries and did a good job in dealing with a few unexpectedly difficult and complex matters which arose. The conveyancing team were very fast, professional and straight to the point. I would have given a higher rating overall but I was concerned and frustrated at an occasional lack of attention to detail. Documents prepared on my behalf contained basic errors which, had I not picked them up, would have help up the administration process. I know mistakes can happen, but I expected that a high profile, and expensive, law firm would be on top of the small details.

Our meetings with legal staff were hugely reassuring ; they quickly understood the concerns we had about how we needed to adapt our will and trust arrangements and Grant Johnson had a clear and thoughtful plan of how we could make arrangements for our children which safeguarded them, and us .Ginny Lawson ( senior paralegal ) made the resulting changes needed to re- registering title deeds of properties quickly and efficiently .
