Society puts moving house in the top 5 must stressful things you will encounter in life. Let alone setting off on this journey expecting your 4th child and welcoming him mid process. So it was reassuring to meet a team of Sebastian Sklair and Paul Colyer who made our best interests their top priority. They kept their word and found a buyer for our house in our initial agreement period of 4 weeks. And that is where the positive experience ended, so I was a little perplexed when I was asked to write a review. After the chain was complete and solicitors instructed, Associate Director of Kaylers Craig Cassidy, took over to guide us through the next processes to the end goal of exchange and completion. This is where things changed and I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the service provided by Kellers Estate Agents during my recent property transaction. The handling of this process was unprofessional and unnecessarily stressful due to the actions of Assiciate Director Craig Cassidy. Throughout the process, I encountered multiple issues, including: Dishonesty: I was provided with misleading or false information on several occasions, this led to confusion and unnecessary complications. This was also the case for the rest of the chain as he was sending emails quoting things I had never agreed or even said. Unprofessional Behaviour: I experienced pressure tactics when asking for documents I am well within my rights to ask for, manipulative behaviour, which made the entire transaction extremely distressing. Failure to Maintain the Property Chain: Due to the estate agent’s actions, the chain nearly collapsed, causing significant anxiety and inconvenience for all parties involved. Especially my wife and I as it was portrayed to the rest of the chain we were being deliberately difficult and obtuse, delaying exchange. Lack of Professionalism: The overall conduct was lacking, we felt they were eager to push forward with exchange to lock in their commission rather then have our best interests at heart. The level of stress caused by this experience was unacceptable, and I believe that no client should have to endure such treatment. I wasn’t going to leave a review and was going to put it down as a bad experience and move on. However, I’m dumbfounded that somone with a professional responsibility is so unaware of how his actions are affecting people and would push, through his team, for a review to be written.

Used kallars for the sale of our home. They were very communicative and found us a seller at our asking price which was perfect. Paul was our selling agent but also Seb and was later brought on to support with viewings and ultimately assisted right through till completion including keeping us well informed of what we going on in our 4 part chain. Craig was also responsible for managing our sale after the price was agreed. Usually I would have used a cheaper agent like purplebricks but I must say had we done that we would NEVER have been able to achieve the selling price we achieved on our home. After many agents told us we would never get the asking price we were after, paul helped us devise a strategy and we actually ended up with multiple offers at asking !! I felt that kallars were always working in our best interest and would recommend to anyone selling their property.

We’ve just completed on the purchase of a property sold by Kallars, our experience has been almost identical to that of another review from a couple of weeks ago written by Paul Ireland. Everything started well, Paul Colyer showed us around the property, he was very knowledgeable and despite ours being the last of several viewings that day was engaged and positive. There was a lot of interest in the property and it went to sealed bids, Paul Colyer and Sebastian Sklair kept us well updated throughout this process. We initially lost out on the property but had our offer accepted a week later when the original buyer dropped out. Once the memorandum of sale had been issued we received an email to say that the case would now be handed over to the ‘sales progressor’, somebody called Craig Cassidy, who we later found to be Associate Director of Kallars. Far from helping to progress the sale in any way Craig Cassidy was actively detrimental from the very start. Communication was almost non-existent throughout the 3 month period between offer acceptance and completion, I haven’t once been able to speak to Craig on the telephone. The handful of emails I received were short, unprofessional and contained information I knew to be factually incorrect. In my frustration I began repeatedly calling the Kallars office, determined to reach Craig via the phone. For several days in a row I called their office 8+ times, he didn’t once answer nor return my call despite countless messages. Craig still hasn’t once answered the phone nor returned my calls to this day. Sensing my frustration Paul and then Seb took over communication again, Seb went above and beyond to help, including working out of hours. Despite Seb’s best efforts de-escalating the situation and fixing the incorrect information various parties had received there were significant issues in the weeks leading up to exchange and the chain almost collapsed. The week of exchange was farcical, exchange itself took 5 attempts on consecutive days, issues on the first 4 days could all have been foreseen and resolved well ahead of exchange had Craig carried out his role effectively. The process was unnecessarily stressful for everyone involved. Thankfully we have now completed and are very happy in our new home. I’ve given Kallars 2 stars, one is for Seb and the other for Paul, thank you to both of you for your efforts. I hope that the owners of Kallars will read this review (and others) and will seriously consider Craig’s performance.
