GoogleJust spoke over the phone with an extremely rude man. I was enquiring about a property for sale in stoats nest Road Coulsdon. From the start the estate agent talked over me and at me. He did everything he could to be unhelpful and put me off. This is before I had a chance to speak. In the end I told him that he had done everything to put me off and I was sorry for wasting his time. He said "you have indeed!"

GoogleAbsolutely fantastic customer service! Ian and Elaine were amazing. I don’t think our move would have happened if it wasn’t for them. Nothing was a trouble. Definitely, the best agent on the market.

GoogleHubbard and Torlot offered good service and communication was clear. We came to a point when we had three offers, £60,000 apart from each other, days before the election on 12th December. It has been a very strange market and so we choose the estate agent to navigate this period of time. We also had an equity release mortgage to consider. We were asked to drop the price to get into the next price bracket. We did so, although I was thinking that it is much easier to sell a property at a lower price. Ideally renting the property would have been a better thing to do. People were changing their luck and coming in with insulting offers. It cost us £7,400 to sell the house which is alot of anyone's money and I still think that this is alot of money, taking 3 months for a teacher to earn! Whilst our experience was positive, it was also very expensive.

GoogleFirst class professional and friendly service from Simon, Elaine, Ian and all of the team (especially Pat) at Hubbard Torlot. Problems and issues that arose during the sale of our house were quickly and efficiently resolved, communication was excellent.

GoogleWe could not be more delighted with the service provided by Elaine, Ian, Gill and all the team at HB! They were professional , friendly and so helpful when selling our home (a completely different experience from a big chain!! We are so glad we enlisted HB!). The whole team were always so approachable, welcoming and hard working from initial meeting, valuation, sales progression, right up to day of completion. GoogleHubbard Torlot were magnificent in our search for our first family home. We came across a lot of different estate agents during our search and the only company we would recommend is Hubbard Torlot. We were picky, frustrating customers and we must have viewed about 40 properties in total. A lot of other Estate Agents who were only interested in a quick transaction gave up on us, but Gill in particular was patient and determined to find us our perfect home. We genuinely felt like she had our best interests at heart. She was on hand with advice when we wanted it but she was never pushy, sales-y or condescending. Coming up for 2 years later, we are still very happy in our home and grateful for Gill's help.

GoogleOverall was happy with the service we received from Hubbard and Torlot. We found that we had to do a lot of chasing ourselves and communication on their part could be improved. Simon was extremely professional when valuing our property, Ian dealt with the sales progression and ensured our sale went through quickly to meet our deadline. The only negative comment we have was about Gill, we found her extremely condescending, always giving us excuses instead of solutions. We feel she would benefit from some customer service training. Would still recommend.

Thank you Sam for your feedback and positive comments. It is frustrating and sometimes difficult with chains and yours was particularly protracted with both sale and purchase. Gill has excellent reviews generally and so i am sorry you felt that her approach was condescending. It is always difficult trying to resolve issues and sometimes when reliant on 3rd party information frustrating that more information cannot be provided. However we take on board your comments and appreciate your feedback. Congratulations and good luck in your new home.
