Extremely disappointing experience. Our experience with this estate agent has left us seriously questioning the transparency, professionalism and integrity of the service we received. We had an offer accepted on a property after our first offer was rejected. We understood that, because we had not yet sold our own home, the sellers wanted to keep the property on the market. We were told that once we had a buyer for our property, the house would be removed from the market. However, after our offer was accepted, we received very little communication or support from the agent in helping us secure a buyer. We had to repeatedly chase for updates and felt completely deprioritised. The most upsetting part came when we went to the property ourselves and discovered directly from the seller that the agent had found another buyer. They had accepted an offer for the same amount we had offered and contracts had already been exchanged. We had not been told any of this by the estate agent. We found out ourselves, directly from the seller. We appreciate that until exchange of contracts, an accepted offer is not legally binding and that circumstances can change. That is not the issue. The issue is the complete lack of communication and transparency. We had an accepted offer, were told what the process would be, and then discovered ourselves that another buyer had been found and contracts exchanged. For us, this goes beyond simply being disappointed that we lost a property. It is about how the situation was handled and the lack of professional communication throughout. We expected honesty, transparency and professionalism. Unfortunately, our experience left us feeling that those basic principles were not demonstrated.

We had a great experience with Horlers throughout our tenancy. The team was always professional and responsive, and Sian was very helpful and supportive. Any issues were dealt promptly, making our tenancy smooth and stress-free. We would happily recommend them to other tenants.

As a landlord, I spoke with quite a few agents initially, but many conversations felt more like sales pitches than genuine advice. When I came across Horlers, my experience was completely different, and I have had a great experience working with Loren and India. Loren was fantastic when it came to finding tenants. She was proactive, responsive, and kept me updated throughout the entire process. Her communication was clear and professional, and she worked efficiently to ensure suitable tenants were found quickly while keeping everything straightforward. What I particularly appreciated was that her advice always felt balanced and fair, rather than driven purely by sales. India has been excellent on the property management side. She is organised, reliable, and very responsive whenever anything arises. It is reassuring to know the property is being well looked after, and she does a great job of keeping me informed while handling matters smoothly. What I value most is the effort she makes to find practical solutions that work well for both the landlord and the tenant. Overall, they have both been a pleasure to work with. Their professionalism, responsiveness, and support have made the entire process far easier, and I only wish I had gone to them sooner.

We have found renting through Horler's such a refreshing departure from our experiences with other estate agents. The viewing process was organised by Loren as was the offer and contracts prior to moving in, and all with superb, frequent updates and communication. Since we have been in our property we have had minor repairs needed (typical day to day stuff), and this has all been dealt with quickly and painlessly by Sian as well as India. Great to be able to pick up the phone and speak to friendly, accommodating people rather than an automated portal or faceless system like with our previous estate agent. The business is also well known locally and involved within the wider community which is also refreshing to see. Highly recommend.

They gave us a dirty house that the previous tenants had not cleaned, then tried to charge us for the mess. Trying to contact the estate agents in regards to fixing broken appliances proved extremely tricky, with phone calls and emails often going unanswered. Sian in particular was extremely rude, giving us snide and condescending instructions to essentially "deal with it". At the end of our tenancy we were informed that the landlord was trying to keep over £1000 of our deposit, which we then had to go through a financial ombudsman in order to get our money back, even though we'd left it in pristine condition compared to when we'd arrived, with the ombudsman ruling in our favour. Thank goodness we'd taken pictures of everything when we moved in and when we left. Horlers then gave us the incorrect amount back and we had to chase them further. I'm sure they have nice employees there, but the person we were stuck with really wasn't pleasant. If you do use them I strongly advise you take pictures of EVERYTHING before and after because they will accuse you for anything they can. Couldn't recommend less. Good riddance.

I have been renting with Horler for the past 8 years. When I was first introduced to the company my situation was complicated but Loren was fantastic at helping me secure a property to let. Since then I have found Loren & the team great at responding to any issues that have arisen over the years, always prompt at resolving any problems, arranging contractors etc. They have also been very communicative with regards to routine inspections and checks. My experience of renting with Horler for many years has been a positive one and I wouldn’t hesitate on recommending them.

I bought property by Horler and had excellent experience, I received good communication , things moved in good pace. All staff well mannered , courteous and helpful. Excellent team and service provided for customers who also have complicated buying and selling processes. Horler went extra lengths to give advice to help with understanding the small print.

If you are a tenant looking to rent do not use this agency. Its a shame to leave a bad review as the sales team seem highly recommended. However we had the worst experience renting from them. Sian was the letting agent we dealt with, the property was filthy when we moved in, black mould throughout, carpets that were soaked down to the underlay with dog urine, our oven and hob was broken and fire alarms weren't working. Blackmould was growing in the bedroom due to an old un insulated wooden window, Sian mentioned in multiple emails it was our fault as the tenant, something that from october will not pass under Awaabs law. On leaving the property they tried to take over £500 off our deposit which now after nearly 3 months the tenancy deposit has reviewed and overturned. This agency does not care about tenants.
