GoogleOnce again Dowen have provided through their agent Mandy Pledger an excellent service in all respects. Mandy and the team have been most professional since engaging them to sell our property. Indeed they have gone the extra mile to sell the property and have kept us informed at all stages of the advertising, viewing and selling process. Nothing was too much trouble for Mandy who responded to all requests promptly and efficiently. What is important to state is that they know the local property market and advised us on the appropriate price to sell the property, which they did and in the most difficult of market conditions (Covid!) Despite this the property sold quicker than we ever imagined and Mandy kept us updated throughout the process of the sale. GoogleWould like to say a big thank you to the staff at Dowen Durham, especially to Jennifer who dealt with the sale of our house in the weeks leading up to Xmas. Having never sold a house before, Jennifer guided me through the process and was always at the end of the phone to answer any queries and was very knowledgable. The whole process was made more difficult due to delays caused by the Covid situation but couldn’t fault Dowen and would definitely recommend or use again. GoogleSimply amazing customer service from Jennifer and Mandy!!! Over a period of 7/8 months the sale for my house fell through..... twice! Both collapses were with the buyers and there was no fault associated to Dowen. During the first 2 'nearly' sales and the 3rd successful sale, Jennifer and Mandy were simply amazing. The queries I was being asked from the buyers solicitors and the challenges we faced we on our side brought on by the impact of Covid, made the situation extremely testing. Although the situations I found myself in were not really for Jennifer or anyone at Dowen to own or take any responsibility for, Jennifer understood the bigger picture and supported me constantly. Jennifer was always in touch, keeping me updated and giving advice. Her professionalism and personal approach was simply amazing! On the 3rd sale Mandy was the lead from Dowen and, although this sale was not as challenging as the previous two, Mandy kept me updated on developments, what happens next etc etc. Mandy was brilliant in her approach and communication and key stages in the process which meant i didn't feel like i was constantly having the chase. If I every have to buy or sell again (which I really hope I do not!), I would go straight to Dowen without any doubt! Thanks again to the both of you, simply brilliant!

I feel like Dowen were the glue holding together the whole process, even though we were buying at the same time as selling. The information, experience and knowledge shared to us was so valuable. GoogleWe had initially been offered to have our estate agent fees paid by our new housing developer if we agreed to go with their recommended service. David from Dowen came out to look at the house for an unrelated process and we ended up choosing to pay ourselves and go with Dowen. Mainly dealt with a lady called Mandy who always kept in contact with us regarding progress of the sale and as we were in chain of three, always provided ongoing information about the position of all the people involved, which was very reassuring. Mandy was always very helpful, answering any questions i had, promptly and professionally. I also had some dealings with other people in the office who again were very helpful. We were moving completely out of the area and already had another property so Dowen also dealt with some viewings on our behalf, which was another good part of their service. GoogleThomas and the staff at this branch are superb, Thomas in particular is outstanding. We had a problematic sale of an expensive house but Thomas made it seem effortless. The fees are very reasonable, the service excellent and the professionalism and communication by Thomas is first class. The only point I would raise is don’t use the auction services that can be provided via a third party ‘iamsold’ - total waste of time, just do it yourself via Thomas. That said and to conclude, I would highly recommend this branch, in particular using Thomas, he is a joy and simply gets the job done. I cannot speak more highly of him.

GoogleAfter seeing a rental property on Dowen's website I phoned the Bishop Auckland branch where Kelly Dartnall was very welcoming and put me on to speak to Ryan McKenna who deals with lettings, I can honestly say from that moment on Ryan has looked after us every step of the way. He arranged a viewing and was eager to find out if it was just what we wanted, and it was! Since then he has kept in touch regularly, sorted out and explained all the paperwork and reassured us when we were feeling overwhelmed that all would be well. In the office Kelly, Ryan and Thomas Fox, the manager, have all been pleasant and helpful and offered their help at any time. I think we have made a very good decision to rent a home through Dowen's of Bishop Auckland and look forward to having a good working relationship with the staff in the future. I fully recommend Dowen's of Bishop Auckland to anyone looking to rent, or buy, a new home. .
