We recently bought our first family home at Ashgrove with dandara and have had an amazing experience start to finish. We dealt exclusively with Emma waddle who has been amazing at every step, taking time to explain everything and keep us informed. We really feel like Emma took the time to get to know us and make the experience personal even though she deals with people buying houses everyday. We are expecting our first baby and she has made sure everything has gone smoothly for us, she has been so lovely and helpful we couldn’t have asked for someone nicer. The site manager has also been great as have loads of the team on site. The finish on the property is lovely and after buying with Baratt homes a few years back the customer service and experience we’ve had with dandara has been in a different league. So so happy to have our dream home!

I am an elderly, vulnerable 81 year old pensioner. In January this year we decided to downsize our home and thought that no 17 Willow Grove was ideal for our purpose.We paid a deposit and signed a contract on 21st January.Everything was fine until our contract expired due to other parties not being ready to exchange.As per contract terms I requested a refund of my depositI was told that their solicitor ( who Dandara will not name) has informed management that according to the Builders Code of Practice we must pay £750.00 in costs!We did not sign any Code of Practice and only signed a Reservation Agreement.The Reservation Agreement states;"The Buyer has the right to cancel the reservation at any time"."If the Buyer cancels the Reservation Agreement, the Seller agrees to payback the Reservation Fee less any reasonable administrative and any other costs incurred in processing and holding the reservation.""the range of such deductions will be between £0 and £0".Other clients of Dandara may recognise the wording?I can supply my original contract if needed.No refund has been forthcoming.Management has stopped returning my calls and does not answer any emails.That such a large high profile company should treat an 81 year old gentleman in such a manner is appalling.I fail to understand how they do not feel bound by a contract that they have signed?Reading other complaints in the review section it is obvious that one of their tactics about complaints is not to reply and trust that the complainant will lose interest.This is a WARNING for anyone contemplating signing any contract with Dandara be aware that the company feel that contracts are not for them and are not honoured.I am having to go to the Courts for a remedy of my contract.Hardly the way a huge, high profile company should behave?Michael F.

We have received wonderful care and service in the whole process from sales, purchase, moving in and snagging. The quality of our home in North Berwick is far superior to other new build homes we have seen. We would like to single out Nicky and George who have gone above and beyond to provide superior care and knowledge and have made the whole process enjoyable.

About two months ago I was looking to try and buy a new built in Haddenham with Dandara but have become so disillusioned with the different stories you are told, the inability to be honest and then the straight out and out lies that I have had enough of them. It started with "you can not view the house you want until you have sold your own" so why would I buy a home sight unseen and their response ignore it. I was after a 3 bed link but they only wanted to sell me what they had which was 3 bed semi - they did not seem to understand that I buy what I want and not what they want to sell me so we parted company. About a week ago I get an e-mail telling me that there was more property I was interested in on sale, after a quick check the prices had gone up £50k for the next phase, they were not built and there were no show homes and they would not be completed till early 2022. Now they were offering a more expensive house, now with stamp duty,can not see what they are selling and you are buying and having to wait nearly a year - really do not understand their potential market do they and also I still had to sell mine to get a viewing when they were built!!!Yesterday I get a phone call from Johnathan to say that they had a 3 bed link back on the market and a 3 bed semi and that views could be sorted. I checked with the wife yesterday evening and phoned The Grove Haddenham at 1000 this morning, now I get Janet who says that the 3 bed link is alkready sold and the 3 bed semi has not been built and there are no viewings - I was shocked to find that such a wonderful company ( as so many say their are (sick)) would even consider lying to their client base.I wil say that the layout of the estate was brilliant and the types of property for sale made it look so much better than other estates look but at the same time if you are prepared to be a mushroom ( kept in the dark and fed bull**it) then these might be the people for you.

I bought my first house from Dandara at Shawfair. I couldn’t be happier with the customer service I received, particularly from Leigh, she has been so helpful and friendly with all my queries and Leigh has gone above and beyond to make sure my house was perfect for me. I could not fault the house, everything was exactly as nice as I expected it to be and the site manager has made sure any issues I have with the new property down the line - just to let him know and he will be more than happy to fix it. I am very happy with my first house and even happier I decided to go with Dandara homes.

Dandara has been an absolute pleasure to deal with and we could not be more satisfied with the house that they have built for us and the associated services. All staff we have had dealings with have been extremely helpful and did not hesitate to go out of their way to help us and accomodate to us. As our wonderful sales representative, Leigh, promised from day one, they have worked with us every step of the way, making for a smooth experience. As for the the quality and finish of the house, we could not find a single problem with it. flawless build and super happy customers!

I live close by to the development in Winchmore Hill and have had my eye and made an enquiry as good as two years ago. Dandara were fantastic at updating me on the process and time frame to officially view in that time. Natalie the lead on the development got in touch once viewings were ready and from that moment has been integral to the process.I’m a first time buyer and it’s a scary process but Natalie and the Dandara team have coached me along the way and have always been a phone call away to helping meI cannot wait to eventually move in to the development - the apartment and plot are perfectThank you Natalie and Dandara

We have been very pleased with our Dandara purchase in North Berwick. Helpful advice and information was always forthcoming from Nicky and the follow up after the sale was also attentive. In our opinion, the build quality and finishes are superior to that of other new builds. Any initial 'snags' were followed up and have been attended to. Having lived in the house for almost two years, we are confident that we have made the right move. We would recommend Dandara to others who are considering going down this route.

It was clear to see that quality and design of the homes was second to none and Dandara had gone the extra mile in designing a spacious, green development in a perfect location. Nicky was so incredibly helpful in helping us secure what is now our dream home and I would recommend Dandara to any home buyers. We bought our house during the lockdown. Dandara were very supportive and understanding during this stressful time. What first attracted us to the property was the superior build quality compared to other new builds we visited. A Special mention must go to Emma Waddle who has guided us through this whole process from our very first visit to the Show home. She has continued to follow up with us even after we have moved in the property and has always responded to any queries we have had promptly and professionally. She has gone above and beyond and was paramount in us attaining this property.

Trustpilot80’s alike building sites with no HSE
I’m merely reviewing this as a former worker, never in my life I’ve seen such atrocious management, company’s not even enrolled in the CSCS card scheme therefore there’s no imposed building standards nor health and safety standards, Who ever considered buying from this company should definitely have a second thought, unless you’re planning to throw your money away. There no qualifications required to get a job here, managers themselves don’t have any qualifications at all therefore you can only imagine what turns out.

Genuinely awful. If you are considering buying a property from Dandara I would urge you to reconsider. Our estate has been riddled with issues from missing insulation to failed fittings to sewage pipe leaks and the company's management of issues is atrocious. Their policy appears to be to drag things out as long as possible and hope that you will give up. Our dream home has turned out to be an utter nightmare, and we regret it terribly. Management make you feel like you will be heard then just stop responding, leaving you out of pocket.

Unfortunately I would not recommend renting with Dandara. The apartments themselves are nice, and the staff on reception are lovely and always try to help! Sadly it's with the management team where it falls short. There have been multiple issues already, including arranging our viewing where we were stood up for over an hour, issues with gym access the most recent one being around parking. I have been living here for three months now and during this time it has now come to my attention that there have been people parking in the "secure" parking, without permits, for free. Whilst other tenants were sent parking contracts and made to pay for the same service. I've been fobbed off with several excuses around this from the management team - none of which are acceptable to me. I've had contracts thrown in my face to try intimidate me, with no sign of trying to resolve the issue. I've have had many letting agents in the past and never been spoken to or treated the way I have here. If you're working from home I wouldn't rent here either. Just construction all day from nearby buildings and internally in the flats. Just hear drilling all day. I would not recommend and will be leaving as soon as my tenancy is up!

Worse builders ever. Start work before the time set in planning, some days 5am and still working at 2am the next day. Machine's with reversing becomes outside your bedroom windows at 6am radios blaring. And as for dust, you can clean your car after work and by lunch time next day you can write your name in it. If you contact them they promise to sort things out which NEVER HAPPENS

Received a virtual viewing via WhatsApp over three weeks ago and have heard nothing since. Not very proactive for a well known company who are obviously inundated with people willing to pay extortionate prices for their new development in Manchester

The quality of the build at Spectrum beggars belief. They appear to have forgotten to put in a damp course. They forgot to back fill when they fitted the window, but someone thought to disguise that by putting in a plank of wood to hide it. They put internal plasterboard against an external wall so no heat synch therefore massive condensation problems. Instead of finishing the slab floor they just put a tachi coat on and added carpet underlay. I honestly believe if they ever find a gap in the foundations it’ll be from concrete accidentally poured over their stetsons. I wish I could upload photos, the flat is 12 years old! I would not have believed any builder could have gotten away with this poor quality build if I hadn’t seen it for myself

They are rubbish at everything! They promised us as a whole estate to fix the drainage issues but at the end nothing has been done! We still have all blocked toilets/ showers! Once they got the money they just don't care if you are suffering! They have only one guy who comes to fix everything who knows nothing, he makes it worse rather than to fix it! Never buy house from them, ever!
