Whether its new built or old house from Bovis... Please avoid this builder as we moved into a house where you can hear crackling noise from all around the house... i) Not strong - Its a house made up of card board. So flimsy it could be.ii) Plane and boring - These houses are stereotyped blunt and you become bored with these houses.iii) All coming apart in few years! (Example the wood and brick layer is not fitted property,,,, windows board is flimsy and coming out...)iv) Quality of material used.. (Horrible and poorly)v) Quality of the work..(Its just done for the matter of completing and running away)vi) I dont know how this to be addressed to government... as these building will not last more than 20 years.viii) They have used all boards very cheap ... you caunt have any thing hanging on these wall.... painfully flimsy!ix) You can hear the cracking sound from every floor very easily...Their aim is not to give home but to extract every penny with disgrace! I dont know how these guys can go around without any issues and run their show till now....

I am trying to sell so, BOVIS homes are wonderfully crafted by skilled artisans who are attentive to every detail. The Customer service is brilliant answering questions intelligently and quickly responding to the needs of the customer to ensure BOGUS home ownership is delightful.But the reality really is different.I Purchased house and moved in OK. we seemed to be lucky and didn't have the problems some of my neigbours were experiencing until a pipe under the bath separated for some reason. Maybe the electrical insulation tape that was used to jamb the pipes together could not hold on anymore...But according BOGUS this is OK and it is not a fault because it didn't fail within 2 years, and it wasn't raised in the snagging list (maybe because it was hidden behind the bath panel). BOGUS,BOVIS said claim against my home insurance who will then be able to make good the poor workmanship of their incompetent contractor.; and make good the damage caused by their handiwork.In conclusion BOGUS homes cannot be trusted to build houses and their customer service stinks.I have purchased and lived in 5 NEW homes during my life and this is the worst by a country mile. the house is now in good condition because I have put right the crappy work done by BOGUS.

Pretty much the same issues as all the other bad reviews on here. When reporting plumbing issue when first moved in, was accused by sales staff of having a bad attitude. Had many problems with my house, the snags don't really bother me but the sink and bath blocks all the time with what looks like sewage. My boiler broke down this morning so don't have heating or hot water. Reported to Bovis, told they would sort out but still (23 hours later) I haven't heard anything. Just feel totally gutted and feel like crying. I'll keep going until it gets sorted or until it kills me ! Thanks Bovis.

Well its been a long 2 years of nothing but problems with our new home. Lets be honest Bovis Homes have some great designs in wonderful locations and this is what attracted us to the company in the first place along with the fact the price was right with a lot of extras thrown in. The initial experience of sales was great but when we moved in and the first two weeks were out of the way we were handed over to Bovis customer service in Exeter. They are awful, poor communication if any at all, they would not accept the professional snagging company report at first but finally agreed to look at it properly. workman would turn up without appointments to carry out work that was not agreed and finally I even managed to get to speak to the regional executive manager who promised the earth and delivered very little mainly because even he could not get his team to come and agree a works schedule. Well now our 2 year warranty is over and we had to get the NHBC involved, house is finally livable but the last 2 years has been nothing but hell having to deal with Bovis and there incompetent staff and systems. We were moved out of our home twice for a week each time to fix the ceilings in the lower floor only to find out that they had changed the design of the house and not put rafters in at 400cm gaps but rather 600cm gaps which means the they have had to come back and brace the ceiling jousts. Would I recommend them to any one else, absolutely not, that is until they sort there systems and staff behaviours out because it could of been so much better if they'd just done the job right in the first place.

From the sales and advice team to the site managers, it has been the most flawless experience we could have ever hoped for. The house had very minimal snags, and anything that was noticed was dealt with very quickly and with such ease. We truly could not be happier and are extremely grateful to Colin in sales and Matt on site who have made us feel so valued - no amount of effort was ever too much for them and we are beaming with joy and gratitude as a result. Been in for almost a year. Two weeks ago snagging started and now they are arguing about what is to be done. Site Manager full of it. What he wasn't going to do! Bovis have now referred us to the NHBC to get things rectified - they have no shame. Never sign it off until everything done.Do not buy from them ever. We still don't even have a correct street sign and just to cap it all the field that we overlook is now going to be developed with 100 houses.

The selling piece was positive - much better than other builders and when I first moved in they were great. As I was moving in on my own they even put up the curtain poles for me and helped me carry heavy furniture that I couldn't manage on my own. Unfortunately a year later though the snags aren't done including missing tiles off the roof. Despite ringing and emailing several times they ignore you. Such a shame as it started so impressively.

I am reluctant to even give them 1 star. I purchased a house from them 2 years ago and it has been the worst experience. They are rude, lazy, nothing is even completed to a high enough or even good standard. It's a real bodge job with these homes. The houses are so tightly packed in you can hear people sneeze 4 houses away which helps even less because the poor quality windows. The gardens are terrible with turf that never grows and the floorboards aren't even down properly. Aside from all of that you can't even attempt to enjoy your house because they haven't cleared off site yet even 2 years on. They do 2 hours of work then go home.

Poor customer care, Been waiting 2 years for the snags to be still done on my property. Repeated phone calls/Emails to no avail. They just dont care after you sign on the dotted line after a well rehearsed pitch to sell the property. When you escalate to the 'Regional Director' he just fobs it straight back to the infamous Customer Care Team.I really wouldnt recommend buying a Bovis Home. Disgusting.

Horrendous - please don’t be conned by the well rehearsed sales pitch. Purchased 4 bedroom home at Semele Park in December 2016 and still waiting for snags to be repaired. Bovis simply do not care for their customers following exchange of contracts. I have repeatedly emailed Chief Executive Greg Fitzgerald only to get the same response of a delegated authority for members of his team to resolve my issues - to no avail! I have been repeatedly ignored, fobbed off and even threatened by Bovis employees - utterly deplorable!

Overall my new Bovis home is built to a good spec. There are minor niggles, as one would expect, but they've been excellent in dealing with issues promptly once reported. I suppose the main concerns are the troubles that goes with living on a building site - they could do a lot more to improve access, condition of the roads, and dust - and the illegal monopoly on telecomms access. There are better builders perhaps, but I feel like I've got good value for money.

I would give bovis no stars if I could, they sold the house I put a deposit on to someone else and did not let me know or my solicitor know with no refund of deposit and flooring money, we where ready to exchange and my solicitor only found out 3 months later causing me to lose the house my buyer to be homeless looks like I had a lucky escape reading the reviews from other buyers. DO NOT BUY FROM BOVIS.
