GoogleWe came to Blackwood & Smith having found no luck with our quest in house buying, and we were very happy we moved to their services. We were assigned to Katie who was extremely hard working and diligent, guiding us through the process, not only of buying the property and completing the missives, but also helping us navigate the system of closing dates and offers. We got an offer accepted on our ideal property, and we found Blackwood and Smith to have been excellent and thorough in regards to completing missives.

GoogleFailed to contact me in regards to my grandfather's will. They have not sent me any copy of it or comply with laws governing these situations. This has taken years and is yet to be resolved . They'll likely be hearing from another firm soon

We would however comment that in any executry matter, we are usually acting only for the executor to the estate and are only permitted to correspond with beneficiaries or other family members insofar as we are instructed to do so.

GoogleWe used Blackwood and Smith to execute my mother-in-law's estate, and were glad we did. The state was handled by Karen Valentine and Frances Knott, who were far more pleasant to work with than what we had expected from legal professionals. The estate was executed without issue, which is more than we can say for the expensive Edinburgh lawyers who had executed my father-in-law's will. They also took alternative routes that meant the confirmation happened 4 weeks quicker. We will be using Blackwood and Smith for future legal work.
