An emotional roller coaster

An emotional roller coaster, lots of false hope and no straight forward answers. Given 2 week reservation to sell our own house which obviously didn't happen. Offered part ex but then had it taken away. Not to mention money spent, mortgages applied for and approved and time wasted.The last hope was to part exchange then for them to say sorry not available on a new release when the new release had it written underneath it on their own website. Extremely upsetting and disappointing experience all round which could have been avoided.

My visit was excellent due to the warm welcome from Abi and her knowledge

The marketing officer Abi was excellent, having previously provided other information via email. She gave a friendly warm welcome and even provided a drink as we were parched on a hot day at the end of housing development visiting. She answered all my questions and gave me lots of relevant information about the house styles, the phase of the development and other site information. She managed others visiting the site very well, as it was busy, whilst still meeting my needs. She apologised for not being able to provide some printed information as, through no fault of her own, her printer was not working. She has promised to forward them in the post. We were able to view the show home on site after our meeting and would say this was a very successful visit. This visit in total contrast to an earlier visit to another development in Skipton I would give 10/10.

Build quality isnt great, aftersales is a joke.

Build quality isnt great, aftersales is a joke, attitudes from sales staff and aftersales staff pathetic, I could go on and on about issues and excuses but I`d simply be wasting my time, beware.Obviously cant sell the homes due to the reviews on poor everything so rent them out, waiting over a year for initial snags to be rectified with garbage aftersales mails and service.

Ambretone Park, what a mess!

I visited their Ambretone Park site at Green Hammerton. I went with a view to just looking through the show home windows however the sales agent invited us onto the site. No safety precautions were adhered to and as a result I fell on their building site. I broke my nose, had to have my face stitched up and take time off work to heal. To cover his back, the sales agent told lie after lie about the incident. Hideous people and a disgusting company, you only have to look at the other reviews. When I drive past this development now and see what an absolute mess it looks, I thank my lucky stars I never bought a house there.*UPDATE* You’ll see from the reply below that Avant Homes state that all health & safety regulations were adhered to. What an absolute joke of a response from this company …. I was taken onto this building site after hours. . I was not offered any PPE. . There was no site manager present. . I had my daughter with me who is a minor.. I fell from an open doorway onto a raised concrete ledge. I would suggest they read their own policies and educate themselves. No wonder they have the reputation they have. Stay away from this dishonest bunch of cowboys at all costs.

Excellent builder and customer care

Excellent information and explanation of everything. Avant offer the latest environmental technology and even include hedgehog runs in the fences and a bike hook! Modern design for modern living, really well - built and high spec finishes throughout and the best customer care.

We were finally able to reserve our plot today and look forward to completing with the assisted move package. Wonderful location & friendly sales adviser.

I felt very welcome and Georgia the sales adviser was really lovely. The houses and location are very nice. The site is down a leafy lane and feels welcoming and picturesque.

Exceptional service provided by Lewis

Recently viewed two properties at Greenlock Place and being a first time buyer I had alot of questions to get comfortable. Lewis was extremely helpful and patient with me from the get go. His pleasant personality and eagerness to help put me at ease and made the experience so much better. He was very thorough and provided alot of information to help us make the right decision and was always at hand to clear any queries I may have had. I am still going through the process of deciding the next step and am speaking to mortgage advisors but the quality service Lewis provided put me in good stead to take the leap this year hopefully!

Great Experience!

I recently visited the development at Skelton Lake and Lewis was fabulous! We went in very open minded as we just wanted to see what was available and what we might want. Lewis really took his time and explained to us the different options and how they varied from one another. He also showed us as many styles as he could to help us picture things a bit better.He made the experience very pleasant with his amazing customer service and left us walking away feeling excited about the possibilities ahead.

We have just officially reserved our new home at Viridian Meadows First time buying a new home ….. The rep Abi was very nice and proffessional she answered all our questions and was very welcoming.
