FacebookDO NOT RENT HERE. Dacre and Sons will not honour theIR word, nor treat you like human being. my tenancy was due to end during lockdown, and dispute a verbal contract that I would only pay for the days I was on the property, as soon as I was out, they claimed "normal practice is to give a month's notice so you will have to pay a full months rent" Normal practice?! They have zero compassion, and see you as nothing more than a bank account to bleed dry. everyone else in the UK right now is banding together and helping out their friends and neighbors. but Dacre? no they do nothing but try and get more money out of you and use a pandemic as an excuse. shame on you. DO NOT TRUST THIS ESTATE AGENTS.

Telephoned 4 times before I managed to get through. Left a voicemail - no call back. When I finally managed to speak to someone they stated that they were not doing anymore viewings despite the property only coming on the market yesterday. I was a cash buyer with no chain but they were not bothered stating everyone is a cash buyer. Rude!!
We are very sorry to hear you are disappointed. In this instance we were told by the property owner that they did not want any more viewings irrespective of the buyer’s position. My mum recently passed away and we had to sell her apartment. It was a very tricky place to sell as it was partly owned by a housing association. One of the other estate agents in ilkley really devalued it and even scoffed saying in future they may refuse to sell these apartments.

FacebookI would never recommend this Company to let a property out. Emma Kerrywood Head of Lettings washes her hands of landlords with crooks which have gained access to landlords homes due to the poor referencing undertaken by Homelet, the company Dacre Son & Hartley use to reference tenants. Use at your peril.
We are very disappointed to hear your feedback whilst letting your property with us. We pride ourselves on delivering the highest service to our customers and we are confident in the service that Homelet provides. As you know the letting of your property was on a let only agreement with Dacres and the checks were done some time ago with problems arising after the initial tenancy period. Your tenant passed these necessary reference checks. As soon as we were made aware of your concerns regarding the tenant, we raised your complaint with Homelet who investigated and found no issues with the checks they had processed. Our Head of Residential Lettings and Property Management has been in regular contact with yourself and has twice arranged to meet with you to discuss your concerns. If you wish to meet and discuss this in person please do not hesitate to contact us.

FacebookI used dacres to sell my house. My solicitor paid their bill the day it was provided but I was shocked to receive intimidating emails from them threatening legal action because THEY had fraudulently forgotten/did not add the VAT. I lost money getting funds from long term investments because of their incompetence.

Danielle, we are very disappointed to read this negative review and that you feel we have acted anything other than professional and in our client’s best interests. The points which you raise are factually incorrect, and we would be more than happy to discuss these with you in more detail. In response to your concerns a) It is not common practice to accompany a valuer to a property. Surveyors are instructed to work on behalf of the bank’s interests, and any influence from an agent would be highly unprofessional. b) After two down valuations and waiting nearly three weeks for a third valuation still to be arranged, our clients took the decision to re market the property. It was neither our client’s, nor our intention, to see you in a difficult position. Our clients needed to do what was best for their own situation. You were kept fully informed of the remarketing and the reasons behind it.
