I have not willingly been into an Estate Agents for years but after my recent experience with Fox & Sons , Goring I know where to go next time . Excellent service from their staff particularly Ben Dann. I wasn't buying or selling , I'm a first time landlord and I was struggling with some of the paperwork. Ben and his Lettings colleague put me straight. I felt I was being cheeky but after explaining my position they jumped to help me . Very polite , smart in appearance and willing to help. Nothing was too much. I would recommend them in future . Thank you Ben .

I cannot recommend Alan Blythe enough; when we had our first meeting with Alan back in 2022, we had been recommended to have a chat with him through Fox and sons regarding a shared ownership flat in Brighton. We had been told by other mortgage brokers that our criteria was too narrow and we wouldn’t be able to get anything. Alan has a vast knowledge of his field, and the patience of a saint! He managed to get us into a (fully owned) flat of our own shortly after. We soon found out we were expecting our son, and our family plans excelled slightly. We made another appointment with Alan just to see where we needed to be headed if we ever wanted to upgrade to a house in the future. Once again, Alan came through for us and by selling our flat (which we had improved vastly) we were able to secure a house. The pathway wasn’t straightforward (as it always seems to be for us) but Alan persevered for us with so much patience. He is always calm and nothing is ever too much trouble. He always takes his time to explain every detail, and doesn’t mind explaining things more than once. We are now in our perfect family home thanks to Alan, I still believe none of this would have been possible without his help, none of the other brokers got anywhere close to this kind of help. At the beginning we paid a small fee for a lifetime membership and then pay a smaller fee thereafter for ongoing services when required; this has been worth its weight in gold. Thanks again for everything Alan we are so grateful.

DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR NUMBER! Unless you want to be harrassed forevermore! I purchased a property in May 2021 through this company. Despite me telling them I have no interest in selling...then questioning why they are still contacting me...to outright telling them to remove my number...to then threatening them with reporting their harassment...I have been contacted AGAIN for the 6th time in the last 3 months, nearly 5 years on! I didnt mind the call on the 1st/2nd/3rd anniversary, but now...being called so frequently despite my repeatedly telling them to remove all my details as is my right under GDPR is downright frustrating. Maybe shaming them, will now get the desired response.

Having stressed a lot over planning to get my first mortgage, and not a lot of prior knowledge of where to even begin, I had a recent opportunity for a discussion with Jamie Turner. Within a short call, I was taught not only the fundamentals of mortgages and was given a more detailed insight as to how they work, but we were also able to come up with a tailored plan which will allow me to secure my first property. Harassing me with phone calls when iv asked them to stop more than once

I asked fox and sons to come a do a valuation of my late father’s property. I have then been phoned 20times since asking if they can put the property on the market for me. I asked them politely to not phone me any more as it’s on the market with a different estate agent and to take my details of the system. They said they would I have since then received 5 other phone calls from them and each time been told they will take my of the the system. I have had three calls since and each time I have asked not to be phoned and they keep phoning me. It’s getting to the point of harassment now. I would stay clear. They clearly don’t listen to peoples wishes and feel it’s ok to continue to phone someone when they have been asked not to. If only they put the same amount of effort into selling a property ( they had my old house on the market two years and had about three people for viewings.

Couldn’t recommend Jamie Turner enough. My partner and I already had a mortgage broker in place when we viewed a property we loved which happened to be with fox & sons. Following a call from Jamie offering his services, we decided to be open to having him at least get us a quote, he came back to us not only the very same day, but also offering us a quote to borrow a lot more than the broker we were dealing with. Terrible service, avoid!

Terrible service, would not recommend. Would give zero stars if I could! There was no feedback following viewings, zero communication or market updates, and I had to point out listing errors multiple times (including the lease length being incorrectly shown as zero years!). I only received a brief, non-committal apology. I’ve now withdrawn the property. I wish I’d gone with an independent originally, someone who actually cares.

Continuously hassled even after asking multiple times not to be

The estate agent that came to value my property needed more customer experience. He asked very intrusive questions, was rude about other estate agents valuations, was very pushy and I felt I had to be firm when I said I am only wanting a second opinion, not for them to market my property. I asked not to be contacted by them and I would be in touch if I needed their services. In the weeks following, the decision was made for me not to use them as I was contacted via telephone at least twice a week, pushing me to put it on the market with them when all I’d asked for is a valuation. When I asked multiple times to be taken off their contact list, the message clearly didn’t get through as I was contacted a further three times after this. No voicemails were left - just missed calls from an unknown number.

⁷I would give 0 if I could. Terrible experience with fox&sons London Road Brighton. We had our house advertised with them for bearly 6 months. We had 3 viewings & 10 cancellations, however, when you looked, they claimed we had 13 viewing. Our biggest mistake was to go with them. Totally unprofessional photos. We changed the agent and within a week we had 4 viewing & one offer!! Additionally, when we left this agent, they carried on advertising our house without our permission with a new price!! Dispute both written & verbal communications! Totally unprofessional. We should have read the reviews and avoided them at all cost!! So far we have had 2 offers and might have the final offer soon.
