I had a very disappointing experience with the William H Brown office in Worksop, particularly with the agent, Laura. I was delayed by around 10 minutes because my train was delayed, which was completely outside of my control. I had travelled a considerable distance and spent both time and money to attend this viewing. What disappointed me most was not that I was late, but the complete lack of communication. Laura never called or messaged me to ask where I was or to let me know that she was leaving. Instead, she simply left without making any attempt to contact me. Afterwards, my calls were ignored, and some appeared to be disconnected. This is completely unacceptable and far below the standard of customer service I would expect from a professional estate agency. A simple phone call could have resolved the entire situation. Clients deserve to be treated with respect, especially when they have invested their time and money to attend a viewing. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend the William H Brown Worksop office. The communication, professionalism, and customer service I received were extremely poor.

As a buyer I recently purchased a property listed by this estate agent and used their in-house mortgage broker. Everyone I encountered has been welcoming, friendly and upbeat. I mainly dealt with Laura and Sally who both were incredibly helpful. Sally even helped chasing my solicitor for me and things like that. One thing to note I used one of their recommended solicitors which they set up for me, conveyancing direct. The guy was actually incredibly helpful, friendly and responsive; however, given it was meant to be an online service their online portal is pretty rubbish I couldn't upload anything to it so had to post lots of stuff. Overall, amazing service. Really made things easy for me as a buyer. So thanks!

I contacted (out of hours) William H Brown, to get the ball rolling for the selling of my father’s house. Within minutes a young man from the business was ringing me organising a valuation which I needed for probate. He mentioned that staff work a later shift during the week in able to deal with people like myself who work past office hours - I thought this was amazing! And definitely helped my situation. I then had a wonderful young lady named Truly from the Worksop office in Nottinghamshire visit me at my father’s address and explain everything meticulously. Truly was relaxed, compassionate about our situation and explained in great detail our options. Truly wasn’t pushy which in all honesty having dealt with another estate agent the previous day I was expecting her to be. She is an asset to William H Brown and although I am only at the beginning of the process of selling, I already feel reassured that my father’s estate is in capable and trustworthy hands. Avoid like the plague.

We rented our property out with William H Brown managing it in Suffolk. It started fine, tenant was found and all was good, however communication broke down quickly afterwards. When originally signing up with them we didn't know it was all outsourced through 'sequence', if we had known, and read reviews then we would have avoided it at all costs. They were just absolutely atrocious at communication, emails not answered, no clear answers, had to be chased up for everything. They didn't provide the rental factsheet to tenant even after checking with them that they had, this could result in huge fines so glad we checked with the tenant and then did it ourselves. It was also a mission to leave them, 6 months notice (which was in the agreement and with how useless they are they obviously rely on that), all while they were totally incompetent. We now manage the property ourselves and it is so much easier and without all their hidden fees. £100 for a letter etc. Please do not use William H Brown or Sequence in any way to rent your property, the stress caused and total ineptitude is not worth it. There must be better agents out there.
