The team in Witney went out of their way to assist in a very tricky sale. There are always on hand to liaise between the buyers and both sets of solicitors to get the move completed. TrustpilotIllegally charging for cleaning
We are currently in a dispute over a minute fraction of our deposit, as Breckon and Breckon has charged us for cleaning despite the move in condition and move out condition being near identical. When we asked (several times over several days) for evidence that the cleaning was actually required to return it to the move-in standard, they provided us with a falsified invoice. We discovered it was false based on the metadata edit history, and the letting agent admitted in an email after this that it had in fact just been edited to change what the invoice said.

GoogleThis is an excellent estate agents with a team that will go far above and beyond what's required. From the very start of our sale process, it was clear that Martyn and the whole team at Breckon & Breckon are dedicated professionals, all of whom are extremely experienced, competent, easy to work with and reliable. Martyn's regular communication and guidance was impeccable, and when we ran into challenges, he was always on board to support us and demonstrate flexibility and true service. Their network of buyers meant we received consistent, viable queries and we agreed to a sale on our property within 2 months, certainly an indication of Martyn and the team's commitment to their clients' needs. We cannot recommend Breckon & Breckon Woodstock more for all sale, purchase and lettings processes. Huge thanks to the whole team.

We were excellent tenants who paid rent on time every month and maintained the property to the best of our abilities, yet Breckon & Breckon attempted to withhold £517 from our £1,125 deposit - nearly half of what we paid. They charged us for window mechanism repairs that were carried out a month after we vacated and after the property had been re-let to new tenants, despite their own check-out report making no mention of any window damage. They also tried to charge us £300 for bathroom redecoration due to "mould damage" when their own inventory photographs clearly showed the bathroom ceiling was already chipping and black with mould when we moved in.

I highly recommend you choose another leasing/renting agency if you can-- there are many better managed ones in the Oxford area. During my renting period of 3 months with them, Breckon and Breckon provided very little flexibility, communication, and understanding. The flat was not as described/advertised nor was clean when I moved in. And after paying additional money to opt into flat fair- they still were overly punitive when I moved out. I cleaned the property thoroughly and they still charged me for an additional cleaning because they found one strand of hair... and took a picture of it as proof. They also lied and tried to charge me for a late checkout which flat-fair disputed. They are not a trustworthy nor delightful business to work with.

They’re just sitting there to loot money. Hardly any service provided. They’ll eat your deposit money for sure. The customers are the only sufferers here, whether you pay a deposit or a reposit. They do not value customer’s money at all. Even after spending 250 on reposit and 400 on end of tenancy cleaning they’re charging 240 extra for dumb reasons.

GoogleWe found the branch very organised and helpful. The company has a good communication system that keeps you up-to-date with developments. Once we found a buyer, they seemed eager to get the deal settle regardless of the low offer. This left us wondering why pay a higher commission when any other estate agency would have sold the property too for a much lower asking price. Anyway, we sold the property and it was all trouble free.

As a Waterside resident I am disappointed by the inaction of B & B to rectify their mistake in placing a large and totally inappropriate sized bike shed slap bang in front of our houses. The ugliest eyesore imaginable.
