We used Sears after Oliver Hewitt came round to value the house. They are new in the Wokingham area having established themselves in the surrounding towns. Oliver took the time to have a long chat with my wife and I about the state of the market and his views as to why our property stood out from the crowd. Oliver made a lot of sense and we decided we would run with Sears. Viewings came thick and fast and the service as professional. The Sears agents were polite and courteous and always gave us quick feedback on the potential buyers. The house was sold within two weeks by James Underwood, who found the buyer, and for the full asking price! We then had brilliant subsequent day to day support from Hannah Wood who kept us up to date and informed of progress, as well as dealing with Bellway on some of the finer details. In order to select an estate agent to sell my house I decided to view a number of houses with each of the established agents in town. The key for me was understanding how I was treated as a customer and how good the sales process was. As you’d imagine it was a mixed bag. The key stand out was Oliver Hewitt at Sears. He sought to understand me as a buyer and talked about the matching process. Once he had established that I had a property to sell he was relentless in his efforts to secure my business. I have worked in sales for many years and always appreciate a good sales process plus the effort required to keep going. I was initially sceptical about Sears as they were new in town but Oliver was unrelenting and offered me a fantastic deal. He set a high sales price, which I guess is the norm, but this time he over achieved, a good thing to be proved wrong on! The rest of the sales process, managed by Hannah Wood, was smooth and without any major hiccups. All of the team have been genuine, responsive and decent to deal with. Was looking to sell my property, and chose Sears to help me do that. From the get go, Tim made me feel very comfortable and assured that I had come to the right place, and that they would do all they could to help me sell my property. I was extremely happy with how professional the photos looked, and how well advertised my property was. James dealt with my viewings, and kept me up to date after each one so I was in the loop, which I really appreciated. I was concerned how long other properties in my block had been on the market for, so was over the moon and relieved that within 2 weeks of my property being listed I had accepted an offer. I have let my properties with Sears now for many years and I have always found them to be professional, courteous, and honest with all their communications which is a breath of fresh air when dealing with estate agents. Amanda Jenkins has been my property manager throughout my time at Sears and I would highly recommend her as she is friendly, professional, and quick in all her communications and when you have a hectic life this means more then you think it does. Sears are very professional and outcome oriented. They know their customers' requirements very well which is the most important thing when recommending homes to Buyers and pricing strategy or changes to Sellers. We were on the market for sometime with no success with other agents and then we got Sears on board, they got results within a short period. Really disappointing. Just had a very unpleasant phone call with a member of the Wokingham Sears team named Paul. I phoned to book a viewing at a house in Locksley Gardens and he was completely condescending and rude regarding my own selling situation, regardless of the fact we have an open house booked next week. Paul took my details but after deciding I would never purchase a house through Sears after the interaction, I asked him to remove my information. It’s a shame that a lovely house is being marketed by such an unfriendly agent.

Amazing team with amazing values and skills to match. We were in a chain 7 weeks into a sale and purchase when our buyer withdrew their offer - it was a devastating situation as we had found our dream home. I had been working with Sears for the purchase of our dream home and Oliver Hewitt was the first to call to see if they can help. We have to admit we weren't familiar with Sears and were reluctant to change.
