I apologise that you felt you had no choice but to use this as a forum to complain however I do feel that you have been slightly misleading in your public statement. Firstly I would like to address the timescales that you have brought up and exactly who is responsible. You have stated that the previous tenant left hazardous rubbish and I would have to disagree, to note them exactly, there were: 5 Pieces of wood, Small blue plastic sledge, Empty canvas bag, Wooden pallet, Whirlygig and a black plastic kitchen bin. When the new tenant moved into the property she said that as she was having new carpets fitted there would be offcuts and she was happy to have it all uplifted at the same time, that is where the carpet came from. She subsequently tried to arrange an uplift from the council but encountered an issue due to the length of the wood so asked if we could send someone, we had agreed to that but due to lockdown most of our contractors are still trying desperately to catch up on the work that accumulated during that time so in fairness there has been a delay. This had been organised for last Saturday (05/09) the week before and I considered that to be reasonable, it is unfortunate if you disagree. I appreciate that this may have been an irritant to you but I would ask you to understand that at all times Independent Estates priority is the comfort and security of our tenants and to expect us to prioritise picking up, what I believe to be, harmless items over a tenant who is awaiting a repair is slightly unreasonable. As to your warning to future customers/landlords, with all due respect, I would suggest that as you are actually neither you are not really in a position to comment on what we take seriously as a letting agent

I had been letting out my property for about 5 years then I decided to sell that’s when they started making up lies about my Estate Agent accusing them of bullying. I gave the tenant and letting agency 2 months notice to leave, after 2 months tenant refused to leave and independent estate continued to take money of tenant I had to involve my lawyer twice. Nasty. People property now sold .

I am disappointed that you felt we were in any way unprofessional towards the end of your five years with Independent Estates. As our relationship ended in July 2018 I had to look back through my emails in order to address this fully. I certainly made no such accusation towards your estate agent and merely passed along the tenants feelings towards how this was handled in terms of the communication from yourself and that she felt she was being pushed into giving access at other peoples convenience. In actual fact we were merely trying to keep everything in line with legislation including your safety certificates and rights of access to the property. You are mistaken that we continued to take rent from the tenant after the tenancy had ended and in actual fact the tenant had paid us as she was still living in the property and it had already been paid to you when you queried this. I also think you have been very misleading in that we had no communication from your solicitor as we carried out no unlawful actions and in actual fact it was my recommendation that you consult such as the tenant had refused to leave the property and there were legal requirements in regard to the processes involved in gaining an order of possession.
