As former tenants who recently relocated to the United States, we faced a tricky situation when a package, unable to be redirected internationally, was delivered to our old UK address. First thing I’d say, look at the Trustpilot reviews of this company rather than Google the trustpilot reviews all mirror each other. By far the worst company I have ever, ever used. All is good when things are going well but if things turn difficult, they will drop you like a tonne of bricks. A leaking roof on a small block of flats took years to resolve and it transpired they were telling the owners of the flats different things, nearly turning us against each other. Communication was poor, they made excuses for their shocking service, twisted things to make them the victim and lied on several occasions. They were slow to act and the contractors they used were expensive. In addition to the reviews, they have been reported to the Ombudsman by people who feel they were unfairly treated. Please, please consider taking your business elsewhere.

A little over a year ago, Marshalls have taken over management of the estate of multiple flats, in which I am one of the leaseholders. After a poor experience with the previous management company, we have seen a real turnaround since working with Marshalls. Noticeable improvements in budgeting, long-term planning and works carried out across the estate. In my direction interactions, I found Marshalls responsive, helpful and professional. A good start and keen to build on.

Awful. Managed our estate badly. They took a cut on every job they did. Used builders with a rubbish reputation or blatant liars. Glad we left them to be honest. In just one month so much has been achieved with our new managing agent. From looking at the books, all. Marshall’s seemed to do was throw good money after bad. Not trustable and now under new ownership with people who have no background in the industry. Shambles.

I’d like to say I was extremely impressed with how Marshalls handled my move-out process, which was a bit chaotic due to timing and issues around the leaving date. I lived at my property for nearly eight years and was generally a laid-back tenant when it came to minor issues, but whenever I did raise something, they were always accommodating and helpful. During Covid, when I was unable to work, they showed real understanding by offering a reduced rent and a payment plan, with the kind support of the flat owner as well. The way the move-out and final deposit were handled really highlighted their genuine customer service approach, something that’s increasingly rare these days. Having stayed there for so many years, I can confidently say their service has been consistently professional and fair.

I have been a tenant of Marshall Estate agency for over 12 years. Staff members have been exemplary in dealing with communications, if I have any necessary repairs they are dealt with promptly. All regulated certificates are meticulously kept up to date and all staff have been polite & professional over the years, I have never had a reason to complain about them. I recently moved into a property back in June, and I had the privilege of working alongside Carla and Cait when viewing properties around the area. I’ve been very keen to get into a particular area of town, and they were able to get me scheduled into viewings straight away. Fast forward to today, I was able to secure the property. I haven’t experience any issues with the property other than the oven fan, which they were able to arrange in a matter of days. Same experience as others- avoid if possible

Avoid using for block estate management. Same as others: pretty much every communication from them in over 5yrs has an error, mistakes are ignored or repeated,or no response to emails/ calls, records are incomplete or wrong so need constant chasing to correct them, contract has a crazy annual increase percentage & additional commission for them organising work. Took months of chasing to get a deposit back. Staff appear to be a blend of trying but not able &/or intentionally misleading, with one competent person doing a sterling job.

Dreadful company with an appalling attitude to their clients, in this case regarding Block Management. Marshalls were appointed to manage our property a few years ago and since day one they have been shambolic. Issues range from breaches of data protection - even them sending private correspondence for other clients/properties to the wrong emails - and the complete breakdown of the process for electing new Directors. The owner of the company, Mr. Marshall, chaired our AGM in 2024 and was despicably rude to one of the original, now frail, owners during the meeting and similarly dismissive to the comments of other attendees at the AGM. Their biggest failing was to manage a fault in the property that was still covered by the NHBC warranty but they failed to act. This cost the leaseholders over £100,000 and yet they were perfectly happy to collect a sizeable fee for the resultant works which should have been at the cost of the Developer. The Directors at our property who appointed them have resigned en masse but we are stuck with Marshalls. Don't fall into a similar trap.
