GoogleJuly 2023: I'm actually the buyer of a property listed through Regan and Hallworth and these guys were brilliant with me. They communicated brilliantly with me, and kept me informed when my own solicitors let me down. Shout out to Paula and Jane Ruddy who were just lovely to deal with on the phone and via email, and even sent a little card for move in day. I would recommend, and if I decide to move in the future, would definitely use them.
2026: I now rent the property out, and Olivia is fantastic: very communicative, friendly and gets back to you straight away. Very professional service and I wouldnt use anyone else.

From start to finish the service was excellent, Joel came out to value our property and offered really helpful and realistic advice which helped us to achieve the best possible price in the current market. As a result this sale took some time to complete. Megan kept me up to date with proceedings and was always available by phone or txt if I had any questions. We were recommended Woodward Solicitors which then became kjd law. Nora, our solicitor, was always at the end of the phone if needed. Price for both was reasonable.

GoogleHouse sold within a week (actually after the first weekend of viewings), so in that respect they did their job (hence 3 stars not 1), but there were still some issues.
Firstly, it was clearly undervalued to sell so quickly. But we agreed with their valuation. We could have held out. The fact that we got 2 competing full price offers after the first weekend of viewings tells me that they undervalued it.
Secondly, they did shared viewings. They took groups of people round together. Even on someones first viewing, that family were acompanied by someone having their second viewing. That would put be right off if I was the person viewing it for the first time. That might be normal practice, but they didn't tell us this would happen.
Finally, they shared personal information of ours with our sellers estate agent without our permission. We were contacted by the sellers estate agent confirming various details and when we asked where they had got the information from, they said "your estate agent told us". That was a data protection breach. They apologised and said "oh, we assumed it would be ok", but they should have asked.
Would I use them again? No. But maybe other estate agents would have done the same things.

On entering the bungalow , another woman walked into house and agent disappeared outside with her to show her round the garden without even explaining to us who she was or that he was leaving us to fend for ourselves . We attempted to open back door and didn't have a key and could not prize the agent away from other woman ... we waited and waited and he carried on chatting to her . We walked to the gate in clear view of him and he saw us and Still chatted to her ... it was only when we open our car doors to get In that he said " have you seen enough now " ??

Sorry. The bungalow you were viewing has proven to be very popular with buyers and we have had to book multiple to make sure we can fit everyone in before it inevitably sells. Unfortunately we had 2 clients turn up at almost the same time so the agent (Joel) thought he was doing the right thing by allowing you time to go inside and view the bungalow privately (as you had arrived 1st) by taking the other client around the gardens to view outside. When you finished inside, he did come over to you and asked if you had any questions and if you wanted to be shown around the gardens but obviously you declined. We are sorry you felt you wasted a trip but you did get time to view the property privately. Since covid this system has proved very popular with our clients as it minimising their exposure and reduces their risk of infection. We assume the property is not suitable but if you would like to discuss anything we are available 7 days a week and would be delighted to help.

If you let with Regan & Hallworth, KNOW YOUR RIGHTS! I decided to vacate my rental property after several ongoing maintenance issues were ignored and they tried to enforce a rental increase illegally. They then wrongfully deducted the amount as 'rent arrears' from my security deposit upon moving out. I disputed this through the DPS who confirmed the rent increase was improperly proposed and returned the funds to me. I waited three months and had to submit a significant amount of evidence for my own, wrongfully withheld money to be returned.

Hi Amelia. We are always disappointed to learn customers have been unhappy with any our services and have looked into your recent review and wanted to make the following comments:
We did a rent increase as per the landlords instruction (as you know rents have been steadily going up over the last two years and the increase was in line with the current market conditions) and notified you of this. You initially agreed in writing to the increase but then changed your mind last minute (which you are entitled to do). Unfortunately you didn’t pay the rent on time so was technically in arrears when you served notice to vacate the property. The landlord asked us to submit the claim via DPS for it which we did.
All the maintenance that you reported was sent to the landlord and contractors were instructed (which we have evidence of).
I'm sorry you feel that we did not act in good faith but we simply followed best practice by instructing DPS (who are independent) to process the claim for both parties and I am happy to hear that the claim has been settled.

They don’t even bother to reply or answer the phone, it’s been a week now and even if it’s the case of not having any more viewing spaces, at least have some respect and reply to people instead of keeping them waiting!

At the moment the rental market is unprecedentedly busy but we always strive to make sure each and every client is kept you to date, notifying people when a property is no longer available. We didn't have any viewing logged by yourself on our system but we have looked into your complaint and it does seem that you initially logged a request to view a house on Rightmove for a property (almond brook road) that was only available for sale and not to let meaning that your email was sent to the wrong department and why you would not be registered on our system. Absolutely disgraceful! Had our offer accepted on a property for them not to take the for sale sign down or change to sold stc/ sold. Spent £1000’s on mortgage fees, our mortgage application, storage for furniture, rennovations and even went with these to sell our current house only to be informed that the house we had our offer accepted for had been sold behind our backs! We listed our house 3 weeks ago and had no for sale sign put up after calling them for days on end! Will not be selling our house with these or ever doing business with these again! Sneaky and horrible!

Hi Toni. I'm sorry you have missed out on this property but a lot of the information above is factually incorrect.
Although your offer was provisionally accepted, you were dependent on selling your house to buy the new one and we did inform you from the start that our clients instructions were to leave the house on the open market until you were in a position to proceed. This is why it was still advertised for sale and no sold board was erected. The house was never marked as sold and no solicitors were instructed. Also we had no call for survey etc so not sure why you have incurred any costs. We listed your house at no cost to you but unfortunately we did not generate a sale in time. We only spoke to you yesterday to advise the sellers had accepted another offer (which was proceedable) asking what you wanted to do and if you wanted to continue advertising your own house for sale and look for somewhere else or if you wanted to remove it from the market. I understand you had exchanged telephone numbers with the vendors and had direct contact with them but we have no control over any private agreements you may have with them. We have always been transparent with you regards your offer and our clients instructions.
Again, we are very sorry you have missed out on a property but despite all our best efforts you were unfortunately never in a position to buy.
