We had a fantastic experience with Balgores throughout the purchase of our new home and couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Buying a house can be an incredibly stressful process, especially when you’re dealing with a difficult chain, but the team at Balgores made the whole experience feel so much easier. From the very beginning, everyone we dealt with was professional, friendly and incredibly helpful. A special thank you to Ewan, who kept us regularly updated throughout the process and worked hard to make sure everything continued moving forward as quickly as possible. His communication was excellent and it made such a difference knowing we were always kept informed. We also want to give a huge thank you to Marie, who worked incredibly hard behind the scenes to keep the chain moving and push things forward so that we could achieve our preferred completion date. We really appreciated all the effort and determination she put in to getting everyone over the finish line. Moving house is never completely stress-free, but having such a supportive and proactive team on your side makes a huge difference. We are so grateful to everyone at Balgores for helping us get into our new home and making what could have been a very difficult process feel much more manageable. Ewan put our house on the market and within a week we were sold, however his communication with us didn’t stop there and he even negotiated a substantial difference off the house we were purchasing. I couldn’t recommend Ewan higher. Myself and my husband were genuinely impressed. After Ewan had completed his part with us, Marie took over for the communication between all parties involved in the chain. Marie’s updates were better than our solicitors and she was always available to speak to us and to provide updates. I have no doubt that Marie’s work ensured a smooth transition between all parties. We love our new house, and if we ever decided to sell again, it would absolutely be with Balgores. Thank you for such an exceptional service.

Balgores have been fantastic in the sale of my Dad’s house. I had just entered the country and was looking for a place to move in as quickly as possible. When I contacted balgores to schedule a viewing, the agent Michael was quite rude, judgemental and pompous and told me how he wanted to check first if I might be able to afford the property in the first place prior to scheduling a viewing or it would just be a waste of time for all of us. Once we viewed the flat, Michael told me how he should be able to get me in as quickly as possible. Once I paid the deposit, he called me and told me that the move in date would not be till the end of the week. It seemed convenient how he mentioned it only after I paid the deposit. I was under considerable duress but I tried to adjust anyways and trusted him. He ignored my calls multiple times and the times he picked up he was rude and unpleasant to speak to and hardly listened to what i had to say and also made judgementsand also snapped back at me. At last , 2 weeks later a day prior to the move in date, he called me to let me know that the move in would be further delayed as there was an issue with a safety certificate and he couldn't even commit to a date when the issue would be resolved. Eventually I had to ask for them to return all the money I had paid close to 3800 quids. Although I received my money back, the discomfort and mental hassle I had during the period was devastating to say the least. Extremely unprofessional behaviors.

I was recommended to Balgores Estate Agents, Wickford office by my friend Liz, and despite a hard long slog to sell my parents home I am greatful she did and I cannot fault the service that the Balgores team provided. Outstanding service from start to finish (nearly)! I first used Balgores (Basildon) back in 2018 when purchasing my property, and they were absolutely fantastic. So, when it came time to sell recently, there was no hesitation, I went straight back to them. Within just a week of listing, my house was sold! Unfortunately, my initial buyer had to pull out due to issues in their own chain (completely out of Balgores’ control), but Joe and his team were incredible. They immediately arranged new viewings, and within six days of going back on the market, I had four or five offers, and accepted one! Over the past few months, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with Georgia Yexley, my sales progressor. She has been nothing short of amazing, professional, patient, and relentless in pushing the sale forward. It’s been a long and sometimes stressful process (again, no fault of Balgores), but Georgia has been there every step of the way, offering advice, reassurance, and a lot of hard work behind the scenes. Even when I’ve been frustrated, she’s handled everything with kindness and understanding. I saw 2 property made up my mind to buy out right. Rang the chadwell heath branch and men answered. I said hi I am interested in 2 properties to buy can I have a details plz. His reply was can i be more polite. I should ask how is he and how was his day? Is this a joke. I dont want friends mate. Go out more. Make friends. I dont want to merry your mum. I have funds and I like to buy. No joke. I belive staff at chadwellheath branch is not I trained in how to accommodate customers and not Intreated in sells. This is my 3rd experience at this branch and I belive staff don't like non whites there approaching for business. I can see their reviews it proves this. We decided to sell our house, so I arranged for half a dozen estate agents to come round and give me a valuation. After listening to most of their sales pitches and a fair bit of nonsense, I started to worry, am I even going to find the right estate agent? 🤯 Out of desperation, I rang Balgores, not one of the big-name agencies, but I thought I’d give them a try. Femi, the branch manager, turned up. He didn’t give a sales pitch or waffle. The only thing he said was, “I want this property on my books, and I will sell it.” We agreed on a commission rate we were both happy with, and within a week, we had over 30 viewings and an agreed offer. We’ve now officially sold the property, and we also used Balgores’ recommended solicitors, PCS, who were excellent. Femi, Sarah, and the rest of the team were brilliant and supportive throughout the entire process. Thank you. But there’s one person who really stood out. Once Femi and the team had done their job, they passed the case on to someone who saw it through to exchange and completion. I’m in my 60s and I’ve always wanted to meet Wonder Woman, and I finally did. Louise. I had so many conversations with her over the phone. She was on top of everything. When we received emails from the solicitor filled with jargon, Louise would call us and explain everything in plain English. She made a very stressful process feel manageable, and even human. I truly hope that everyone going through a sale or purchase has a Louise to guide them through it. No one asked me to write this review. I’m doing it because it’s well deserved. I also hope the owners and senior managers of Balgores read this, because it’s people like Louise who make your company what it is. I sincerely hope you show your appreciation with a Pay rise or at best a bonus. Sometimes, we don’t realise how valuable someone is… until it’s too late.
