Horrible experience renting with them

Horrible experience renting with them. I visited the apartment that had faulty balcony door, which they said would be fixed before I move in. It was not fixed, the house was extremely dirty with food residue in the fridge, many light bulbs not working (they fixed it after a week). Right now, more than 2 weeks after moving in, the balcony door is still not fixed. I’ll never rent with them again.

Long-Term Tenants - Excellent Service

We were tenants of a Sherry Fitz property for almost 7 years, and were always happy with how they handled our inquiries. They were also very helpful when it came to us moving out, and accommodated us when we needed to change the date. SF also returned our deposit promptly. Incidentally, Paul, who was responsible for conducting the intermittent inspections, was an absolute delight!

This company is amazing especially Mark Lawlor. They sold my house quickly and efficiently. It was really easy to catch Mark on the phone for any queries. He did a great job in getting the best price for my house whilst having great integrity by giving transparent information both to me and to the buyers. He guided me and provided excellent advice from start to finish. I give Sherry Fitzgerald 5 stars and will definitely use them in the future. They are a little dearer than other companies but it's worth it for a seamless service. I got a valuation from another company for the same house and they valued it €105k lower than what Sherry Fitzgerald valued it at and obtained so Sherry Fitzgeralds valuations are more accurate.

We sold a house in Galway with Sherry…

We sold a house in Galway with Sherry Fitz. I really regret choosing them. We did had some bad luck. The agent had an illness mid way the sale and then another agent had to sell it who'd no interest as, our property was small. But also, their process is to only do viewings twice a week. If people couldn't make those viewings they wouldn't show them the house. It definitely didn't show the house to all those who might have been interested. The second agent didn't follow up with several people who'd shown interest, despite me asking if she did. Over all, there far better agents in Galway who are flexible and will do more work to show your house. Before you sell, contact a few agents as if you are buying and see how easy the make it to view a house etc. Wish I'd done that.

I had dealings with Sherry FitzGerald Radford both as a vendor and a purchaser, paying close to €10,000 in fees to sell my own property through them before buying another property they were marketing. The sales brochure stated that the property was ready to walk into and that all integrated equipment was included in the sale, including a microwave and dishwasher. On taking possession, the house was not in a habitable or hygienic condition. I had to arrange an industrial deep clean costing €500 before I could even use the kitchen presses. More seriously, the integrated appliances listed in the brochure were unsafe or non-functional on first use. The microwave sparked and went on fire, and the dishwasher did not work at all, leaving me no option but to replace both immediately. This resulted in me being almost €2,000 out of pocket straight after completion. When I raised these issues and provided video and photographic evidence, the response I received from the owner was abrupt and dismissive. I was told that I should have had a structural engineer carry out these checks, which is both unreasonable and unrealistic. Structural engineers assess structure, they do not inspect cleanliness, open drawers for filth, test appliances, turn on microwaves or check whether dishwashers function. What was most disappointing was not just the situation itself, but the lack of professionalism and empathy shown when I tried to resolve matters reasonably. Based on my experience both selling and buying through this office, I would not recommend Sherry FitzGerald Radford to anyone considering selling or purchasing a property. I strongly advise future buyers to carry out exhaustive pre-closing inspections and not to rely solely on sales particulars.

We dealt with Aisling McGrath (Sherry Fitzgerald Wexford Town) for several viewings while buying a new house. As we all know buying/selling property is a pretty stressful life experience. Ms McGrath gave us consideration, assistance and reassurance throughout the whole process.
