Good Customer Service

Just used Bovis Homes in Sawtry to buy my daughter’s first home. All the staff were very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to accommodate all our wishes. Everything went smoothly from start to finish and we were kept in the loop every step of the way. We dealt with Matt Earith, Sales Consultant the majority of the time. He made the house buying process a breeze and would highly recommend him.

Fantastic and welcoming experience from first views to reserving. Explains everything clearly and fabtastic with our 2 children as well. The show houses made us want to switch from a potential other builder of homes which we were close to reserving. Homes look to be of high quality and perfect for our next home. Incredibly stressful and upsetting experience

Incredibly stressful and upsetting experience would never buy from Bovis again. We relied on clear assurances given during the sales process about the nature of the development and neighbouring properties, which heavily influenced our decision to buy our home. After completion we discovered things were not as we had understood. What has been most upsetting is how dismissed we have felt throughout the process. Bovis have repeatedly relied on contractual wording and the position that communities can change over time, rather than properly address the fact that specific verbal assurances were given during the sales process which influenced our decision to buy. Despite neighbours also reporting that they were given similar assurances during their own sales process, the situation has effectively come down to Bovis' word against ours. This has been incredibly upsetting and has left us feeling as though we are being accused of either lying or misremembering what we were clearly told. Overall a deeply upsetting and stressful experience. If you are buying from Bovis make sure absolutely everything discussed during the sales process is confirmed in writing.

Bovis/Sage Shared-Ownership purchasing experience The Hedgerows Matford Brook Exeter

My son is in the final stages of getting his Bovis/Sage shared-ownership home in The Hedgerows, Matford Brook Exeter. The sales team, initially Sophie then Amber Luxton, have done a GREAT job so far- always responsive, friendly, very competent and helpful. Amber has given him/us support and clarity throughout what could have been an overwhelming process. It’s so exciting for him to be so close to getting his own home- not something he imagined being able to do without this shared-ownership scheme. We’re sorry Amber has had to move to another Bovis site this week and will miss sharing the joy of him getting the keys on completion…..

Do not buy with bovis/vistry

Bad after sales customer service. A year in and I’m still fighting to get the repairs done I need doing. After raising concerns of the flooring upstairs where they had cut holes they fobbed me off and a short time later my foot went through those holes. My en-suite shower was taken out and put back in 5 times, two weeks without an operational shower and they also put tiles on that were a different colour and tried to tell me I was seeing things. The roof has had to be repaired. I say this very loosely as it’s been bodged. My back garden floods and I’m awaiting the work to be completed. The kitchen sink keeps going rusty and it has been replaced twice. Everything they use in the houses are cheapest of the cheap. Managers and site managers treat you like you know nothing, then they give you a bit of hope by having someone else get involved before then treating you exactly the same. I have had to submit a claim to NHBC and also raise a complaint with the new homes ombudsman. Hate to say it as the area is lovely, but do not buy with bovis/vistry.

Show home good but some issues for us

We thought the show homes were well built and had lots of storage but not sure about a couple of things with design. 3 bed had a v small square hallway and the heat source pump was v obvious. Staff were very friendly and helpful with our questions. Mostly v impressed. Knowing the area but still too expensive for us.

We called today at the Hollingworth…

We called today at the Hollingworth Lake development. We were greeted by the super friendly Rhrodri. He was extremely informative, he quickly and very concisely gave us a good overview of the Cypress property. He outlined the similarities to the showroom and also explained the difference in layout and room sizes.His manner was very upbeat and pleasant, he left us to explore the house at our ease without any pressure.

Built in water features!

If I could leave 0 stars I would! Don’t buy a home with bovis! Unless you like leaks, half a job and your home basically becoming the site office with the amount of contractors you have while living there! 570k not what you would expect ! Customers services are trying though, but honestly stay clear !
