I lived in a Dexters new build (Ambrose House) for about 18 months from 2022-2023. Although there were some promised amenities that weren't delivered (gym, Tesco express, etc), a lower score wouldn't reflect the service we received from two attentive members of the team who went above and beyond.I was particularly impressed by Petros when he came on board. I found him personable, responsive and helpful. He and Suzy, another fabulous associate, are great members of the Dexters team and every interaction with them was pleasant. Suzy provided clear and consistent phone and email support and advice during our moving out period and Petros was proactive in ensuring we received our deposit once the necessary checks were done on our apartment.

Where do I start?

Working with Kiera and the team at the Property Management department has been extremely smooth, The fast response and accurate measures taken by Kiera has helped us swiftly run alongside both Kiera and the team, The professionalism provided by Kiera is outstanding; as they say experience is key and thats what Kiera provides on every contact ! Thank god for Natasha - can get stuff sorted

Despite many challenging situations with Dexters staff (including the out of hours helpline who were not helpful when my boiler broke during winter) and other such instances - Natasha and Saad in the Great Eastern Street branch have been the saving grace for Dexters. Since taking over, Natasha has been extremely professional, mediated resolutions that are fair between tenant and landlord and been responsive to significant issues in the flat (through no fault of anyone’s). If only Dexters had more people like Natasha.. I think tenants would enjoy their experience! Suggestion - get Natasha to lead and train all property management staff to represent tenants and landlord like she has with my situation! very impressed with Saad - he has a very good manner and etiquette in speaking to people and good customer service and strong understanding of managing issues, timelines and remediation. Again, Saad should continue to be front facing and train other colleagues.

My experience with Dexters has been pleasant. Ever S nice Jada had taken over the management responsibilities of my property, all issues were being addressed with utmost care and promptly. She is on the ground the moment we raise an issue or concern in relation to property. She has taken the effort to personally visit and inspect the issue and bring it to a resolution in no matter of time. Jadasa was a tremendous, conscientious, and thorough resource for my wife and I as we settled into our flat managed by Dexters. The property was not in an ideal condition after the prior tenants' departure and required a lot of attention to bring things up to par. Jadasa masterfully managed the process, tactfully engaging both the owners and contractors to complete the various tasks in the most time efficient manner possible. Moving is always a gut wrenching experience but Jadasa helped ease many of the difficulties we encountered along the way. Great property management team

My family and I have several properties rented out by Dexters for a number of years now. I also have properties with different management agents and can honestly say they have been one of the best. Special thanks to Natasha Benedik for all she has done for me over the years, and the rest of her team including Lydia Beesley, Rachel Sapurco and John Miller - very proactive in getting new tenants in, quick to reply to emails and help sort out flat maintenance. All in all, a great property management team and highly recommend them.

Dexters - Chris McCandlish - Outstanding Property Manager

We live in Australia and Dexters have been our managing agents since 1999. Our principal contact in the firm changed to Chris McCandlish, the Head of Property Management and I have nothing but praise for his work on our behalf. So much so in fact that, only half jokingly, I told him that if he ever fancied a move 'down under', I'd definitely employ him. He's frank in his advice, active in finding the right solutions for you and rigorous in execution. Given the distance between us and the limitations imposed by the time difference, communication is all important. Chris has again set a very high bar, he's even called me a couple of times when its either been very early or very late in the UK. In summary, I can't recall a better property manager that I've dealt with, here or in the UK, in over 24 years. Chris is outstanding and I unreservedly recommend his services. If he ever left Dexter's I'd go with him.

My experience with Dexters has been great. Since I moved in to a property, whenever I have a maintenance issue, Donalina Gargrupe/Property Manager is absolutely lovely and helpful. Most recently I had a boiler issue and Dona has been very helpful and diligent, since she got my first e-mail reporting the issue. She e-mailed and called me many times to keep me updated and kept in contact with the vendor until it was all sorted. So, a BIG thank you!

Christian Pengelly is the best ever

I am dealing with Dexters for 5 years now, and I was not happy with them like I am now because Christian Pengelly is the head of property management. He is the best property manager I have ever dealt with. He is keen to solve every problem/ concern in the quickest time he can. He even sends the required emails during the call which I explain the problem in it. If I have the choice, Christian is the manager who I hope deal with him always, not anyone else.

Can't thank Myra enough...

I have had a great experience with Dexters as my property management company, but I want to give a special mention to my property management consultant, Myra Mettam. I have been letting my property for nearly 5 years, and Myra has been my continued support during the time at my flat. Myra is fast acting, efficient, empathetic and a total delight to liaise with. Every time I have had an issue at my property (and there have been many as it is an old building: faulty boiler, blocked toilet, shower not working etc). Myra has been on hand to find a very quick solution, she really is a magic maker and I couldn't ask for more from her. Myra also often exceeds my expectations with her quick turnaround times and she is an excellent communicator. The Dexter's leadership team should feel very lucky to have her!

The moving out experience with Dexters was horrible and impacted me massively. Viewings were booked in constantly, I think we had six in one day at one point, which is bad enough but on two separate occasions one of the agents turned up unannounced which is a total invasion of privacy. The flat was on the market for ages because they put it on at an extortionate price so the viewings went on for about 8 weeks! We paid for the end of tenancy clean and it took them a week to check it, so by the time they checked it there was some dust. We were sent an incredibly rude email about it and given 24 hours ON A BANK HOLIDAY to get the cleaners back in to rectify it before the new tenant moved in the next day - despite them having a week to check it. Even getting the deposit back was a hassle. Only giving two stars because manager Elliot tried to rectify things after I complained which I am grateful for but sadly the damage was already done. Think twice before using Dexters as when you move out you are meaningless to them.

My flatmates and I have been renting a Dexter managed flat for the last year. Recently we had an incident involving an unexpected fire in the building that left us homeless for a few nights. Amanda from Dexter was amazing in terms of coordinating with our landlord, calling to check in everyday and assisting in getting a cleaner/maintenance person. She was very proactive, empathetic and agile throughout the whole experience which is a testament to the type of letting agent Dexter is!

Callia at the lettings agency was an absolute superstar during my hunt for the perfect rental. She really knows her stuff when it comes to the local area. What I loved about Callia is how she connected with me. She spoke in a way that was easy to understand and didn't make the process feel daunting at all. I spent just over a month looking for a flat with Tom and it was a joy - Tom was incredibly helpful, really took the time to get to know what I was looking for and what we didn't want (not easy as I was being very picky). About half way through I got very busy at work too and Tom was really accommodating to make sure Dexters and he worked around my schedule. Overall, the Dexters team were great and not pushy or trying to "sell" a rental to us to get flats filled - they very much tried to find the right fit, which was massively appreciated! Next time I'm looking they will be the first port of call!

Both myself and my wife have been working with the rental team managed by Elliot Taylor and his team at Dexters Westminster for several years now. They are exceptional specifically Elliot Taylor, they have looked after us and have made our rental experience great. Our flat has been never been left without tenants found and placed by Elliot and his team and they have managed our property giving us complete peace of mind.
