Chesterton´s sister companies Teamstar and Amartio managed our house in Malaga on Airbnb and Booking. They were suppose to run our accommodation on our behalf. Due to the very deficient service they provided, resulting in awful reviews on Booking, we decided to terminate our contract with them. However, at the time they ought us 4000 Euros corresponding to all the bookings for August and September 2021. After countless efforts to get in contact with them and claiming our money without success, they suddenly disappeared from every single platform they were before. That included Instagram, Facebook, telephone registers and email services. They vanished and took our money with them and I assume they took the money of their employees and many other owners too. The person who owned this company apparently opened another company called Eeverynite for which he is now CEO. If I were you, I won´t use their services, as the lack of professionalism we experienced with their previous company was outrageous. Still trying to get our money back...

I like that this company is very professional and makes me feel safe renting when doing it through them. I also had a lovely contact that took care of me and made me feel welcome. Replied quickly on all my requests and also stepped up extra for me, I felt. So a big kudos to her for making the experience feel good. They also have a portal that makes everything feel professional and good. The only comment I got is that their portal might be challenging navigating around, but then we are nip picking on a high level :P A fantastic company throughout.

Ronan at Chestertons recently provided us with an excellent service in finding our new home. His attitude stood out from many other agents we have dealt with in the past. From the get-go he understood our requirements very well and throughout the process his communication was always great - very professional while still being open & friendly. He was always available to answer my questions, even late at night and on weekends. His knowledge of the rental market and his ability to explain things simply to me was just fantastic. In fact, I had several viewings before meeting Lucy Bate, but I could not look for a 1 bed flat I liked. However, after having the viewing of this flat with her, I thought I wanted to live right here. Before the contract, she sincerely helped me with many things as sometimes it was difficult for me to understand because of language. I think that meeting her was very lucky and I'm really grateful to her.If I move out and I should find other flats, I will definitely have a contract with her.

TrustpilotDont use the Battersea Rise office they are either liars or are incompetent.
This company namely at Battersea Rise office has recently sold a house of mine. The deal was exchange and completion would happen within 6 weeks. The buyer decided to change lender but on numerous occassions I was informed completion was not going to be delayed and if it was it would be a couple of days. I refused a higher offer which was £15k more based on this information. I also had given notice to my tenants who were paying me £4k a month so they left just before the agreed completion date. Two months after this date we eventually completed. Chestertons continued to either lie to me during this process or are incompetent either way I lost at least £23k and when I asked for a reduction of their fees they didnt even have the decency to reply. The agents who work at the Battersea Rise branch are shocking dont use them.
Hi Sarah we are very sorry that our service did not reach your expectations. We have been informed that the sale was a complicated one with ever moving goalposts on the buyers side, you were at any time fully able to source alternative buyers through the competing instructed agents which Chestertons, although willing, were unable to do as you would not allow us to fully market the property. Restrictions on buyers lending ability, due the level of rent, did unfortunately impact on the existing tenancy however this was not the fault of Chestertons, nor in fairness you. We did discuss your proposals in relation to fees on more than one occasion albeit we felt that the fees originally agreed with you were fully justified. If there is anything you feel has not been addressed adequately, please do let us know and we hope to explain further.

I give them one star as i have been having really bad experience with this company. They were nice and quick to respond when they were advertising my flat. Their agent push me into accepting a couple although i had my doubts - i say they are pushy.As for collecting rents for me never pay me on time. I paid them to collect the rent for me to avoid chasing the rent but this company never pays my rent back into my account on time - always late. I don’t recommend them. I regret choosing Chesterton to be my agent.

Speedy service and slick set up - very professional. The only reason it is not 5* is that there are perhaps too many individuals involved in dealing with a property (I am a landlord) which can get a little confusing and things can get lost in communication.

I rented a property for 18 months where Chestertons acted as the tenancy manager (Imogen Kovacs) and received a great service throughout the tenancy.Whilst the landlord was not always the most helpful, Imogen handled this tactfully and sought to present sensible solutions to issues which arose with the house. She is very responsive and was a pleasure to deal with.

The worst experience I have ever had interacting with any business, ever. I spent 6 months in the property and they were terrible as a management company, e.g. the heating system and bath were broken which they refused to fix. When I left they held onto my deposit for a month without justification, then tried to claim around £4.5k from me when I raised the dispute. This was made up of things like £1,200 for a scratch on a bed and £350 for watermarks on bathroom tiles, both of which were shown in the check in report. They also tried to get £100 for a hoover which they had told me to dispose of after it caught fire, clearly not PAT tested.Most of their claims were binned by the adjudicator, eventually.I also asked for disclosure of some of my personal data from their records, which they refused, so that has been raised with the Information Commissioner.Honestly it doesn't matter how nice the property is, do NOT risk letting through this agency. They will literally break the law to make a quick win if they think they can get away with it.Further to Chestertons' response, noone from their team has followed up on this.
