Customer service is really something and they really do know how to make you feel welcome, everything from the checks, signing of forms, running through the property ect

GoogleWe've rented our property through Greenaway for 8 years now and they've been great. They regularly visit to make sure everything is OK and they update us on anything that needs doing quickly. When we've ever needed anything they have got onto it quickly.
We also sold our house with them last year and despite quite a difficult sale and buyers not getting mortgages they kept us up to date and went out of their way to chase other solicitors to keep the sale moving when other estate agents weren't following up. We'll continue to rent our property with them and would definitely use them to buy and sell with again.

GoogleTerrible experience from this estate agency, from being charged to have my money refunded after overpaying rent (£24 admin fee to simply having my money refunded!!) to be being absolutely ripped off being charged almost £300 (exact amount £279) to have the property I stayed in cleaned when it didn't need it (I won most of it back via the Deposit Resolution Service). Be very caution as they will try and take money from whatever way they can it seems. My strong advice is when moving into a property managed by this company, take pictures of EVERYTHING because otherwise no matter what happens they will claim the house was not left in a "professionally clean condition". Make sure you keep all email correspondence and dates spoken to them as should you need to go through the Deposit Resolution Service like me, you'll have all the evidence you need.

My name is Darren Greenaway and I am the owner of Greenaway Residential. I have looked into your complaint and can respond accordingly. Firstly terms and conditions were signed by yourself which openly highlighted all of our charges. Prior to your leaving the property my colleague highlighted to you the need for you to cancel your standing order which was not done. Like all businesses we get charged by our bank to receive money and to pay out money, these charges plus other fees I have to pay were levied against the money you sent us in error. We are sorry that this has to be done but we did try our best to avoid this for you. Regarding the cleaning charge (which was less than the £300 you mention) as you were aware the property was professionally cleaned prior to your occupation, because this is an open forum I cannot comment on the standard that you returned the property to us in but lets just say the new in going tenant refused to take up occupation and as you are aware the Landlord requested that deductions were made from your deposit. The dispute resolution that you refer to was us putting both sides of a story to The Deposit Protection Service and letting them decide what they thought was fair. I am sorry that you feel you were charged unfairly however the claim against your deposit was arbitrated by The Deposit Protection Service which is there to protect all parties and make fair and impartial decisions when allocating deposit monies.

GoogleMy family and I urgently needed a property to rent after our previous property went up for sale.
We'd been messed about with so much by other letting agents I swore I'd never go through one again but this house was perfect. We had dogs and were worried that the landlord wouldnt like it. Furthermore the referencing company messed up and almost cost us the home but Greenaway stepped in and took control. They cleared all the mess up and we got the property in time. They were great and we now live in a stunning home ready for Christmas and we couldnt be happier.
