Dear Mr Mott, thank you for writing a second review on the same matter, however it seems your point of view is changing somewhat. As put in our previous correspondence, which you have neglected to respond to; We had six offers on the property, which were all put forward to the Landlord, both factually and without opinion. This is so the Landlord can make an informed decision on the facts stated by the tenants. Whilst our client was thinking about which offer they would like to accept and with their consent, we removed the property from the market. This was done as to not complicate matters as one of the 6 offers was likely to be accepted, and was not personal to you or any of the others that offered. If we had left it on the market, there would been many more viewings and possibly many more offers, which would have wasted a lot of time for many people. Unfortunately, your offer along with four other peoples offers were not accepted by our client. I am sorry you feel that an apology is due to you, for our client not accepting your offer. This being said, the in depth email that was sent to your partner started with the sentence ‘I am very sorry that the offer was not accepted’. Surely this constitutes an apology. I note with interest that you now state we only spoke with you after the review, which is factually incorrect. As you know, whilst we were calling all of the unsuccessful parties, you called us for an update, which you personally received. As previously stated, we would have contacted your partner in due course as it was her details we had on file, as she made the viewing arrangements. If you had made the viewing yourself and left your details, we would have called you. Although clearly not in a timescale that was acceptable to you, the good news is though, the other four people that were updated were okay with the time it took to deal with the matter. Perhaps you missed judged Michaels first reaction to you as he was expecting a lady turn up. Perhaps when the viewing was arranged your details could have been given. All prospective tenants are treated in a fair manner and with due care and attention, it is always left to our client to make the final decision. Your offer was put forward in full as per the details that you informed Michael of at the viewing. Best wishes - Darren Greenaway

Unfortunately, the laws relating to letting a property out is an ever moving target, in total there are currently 128 Acts of Parliament or statutory regulations which impact partly or wholly in the private rental sector, some going back as far as 1730.
