Be very careful for using the chancellors letting team at the Whitney Branch. There's an individual within the lettings team who attends your property for rental potential. She has a double barrel surname and initials SB-A. Ensure that everything this individual states is possible is recorded in writing, including any special conditions you would like them to include within the tenancy agreement. I relied on her word as a specialist in this field to ensure my wishes are delivered and she's failed at every hurdle causing extreme frustration And a large financial penalties to my business which I cannot reclaim against her professional negligence. I would urge everybody to seek individual independent tenancy reviews if you are unsure to ensure your wishes are accurately delivered.

Our experience with this estate agent has been extremely disappointing. We had our offer at the full asking price accepted and were congratulated by two different members of staff. Acting in good faith, we immediately instructed solicitors, paid money on account, completed our ID checks, and submitted our mortgage documentation. Just three days later, we were told that the seller had accepted a slightly higher offer from another buyer. We responded the very same day by increasing our offer to £10,000 above the asking price, only to be told that the seller would still be proceeding with the other buyers. We fully understand that gazumping is legal in England and Wales before contracts are exchanged. However, that doesn’t change how stressful and upsetting this experience has been. My partner and I have two young children and already lead a very stressful life. We acted quickly, honestly, and in good faith, only to lose time, money, and a great deal of emotional energy. What has disappointed us most is how the whole situation was handled. We were given every reason to believe the sale was progressing, only for everything to change after we had already committed financially. The communication throughout left us feeling that our time and circumstances were given very little consideration. Try and avoid “ ELLA CARROL” like the plague !!! This review is not about being outbid, it’s about how buyers are treated. We hope the branch reflects on how situations like this are managed in the future so that other families don’t have the same experience we did.

Unbelievable unprofessional company I have no idea how they operate and i wish i had never had to deal with them. We were apparently first in the queue applying for a new rental I got everything together had the funding, credit checks fine even spent time off work to get extra income information for them from my accountant which they asked for. The person Hannah we were dealing with just never answered the phone or replied to emails literally the next day, 19 unanswered calls to her. Following this the house was marked as Let, in less than a week from applying, no communication. They were obviously playing us off against others, which under the renters right act is now illegal. What’s worse is my partner called the Witney office main office to get answers and complain and they hung up on her! Complete time wasters , just a response or discussion would have saved a lot of hassle and time.
