I have nothing but positive feedback for McCartneys Welshpool. I have spoken to a few people over the months leading up to purchasing my first home with them. I found the property on Rightmove, put in an enquiry and someone got back to me so quickly. It was very easy to arrange a viewing. We viewed two properties through them, and on both occasions communication leading up to, and after, the viewings was spot on. When we decided to make an offer, we spoke to Beth, who made everything so straightforward. We have dealt primarily with Beth since, and nothing has been too much for her. Being that we are first time buyers I’ve no doubt we’ve been frustrating at times and asked lots of silly questions, but Beth has always come back with all the information we’ve needed. She also managed a second viewing with all of my family there, so she deserves an award for that. In future I would have no doubts about using McCartneys Welshpool again. Five stars absolutely - couldn’t fault them!

In a stressful time, she was always kind, friendly and efficient and really helped us navigate our way through the whole process. We felt we were in very safe hands throughout, and her genuine care and consideration meant that when completion day finally came, it was a joy to share the moment with her! We have known Richard Close for many years and, in various roles, he has acted for us on property sales and helped guide us through some particularly tricky purchasing processes. His knowledge, professionalism and ability to navigate the ups and downs of property transactions have always been exceptional. Even though Richard took a break from estate agency for a while, we are genuinely delighted that he has returned to the profession with McCartneys in Llandrindod Wells, it is clearly what he was built to do! If there were a Ballon d'Or for estate agents, Richard Close would be Lionel Messi, the GOAT, if you will! Absolutely outstanding at what he does, and someone we would recommend without hesitation.

Rude Unhelpful Staff.

Unhelpful Staff. This way or no way pretty much. Rang the company to organise a viewing for a rental house. Was offered one day, two different time slots at 10am. Told the woman need to travel 2 - 3 hrs and asked to get a different time or day. Was told no. Asked for a virtual viewing, was told no. Asked for the application again told no. Very unprofessional and unhelpful, avoid this company.

m our first contact with your office we were impressed with the professional, relaxed approach we received from Adam who attended the address to do the valuation. He was attentive and knowledgeable. We then had dealings with Beth. Again from the onset we were pleased with her calm professional attitude. As we progressed through the process we encountered a number of issues and delays. We struggled with obtaining information from our solicitors, and there were a couple of times where we considered taking the property off the market as the process was becoming too onerous. However Beth stepped up and essentially took control of things. She has a knack of calming situations and allaying our concerns. If she was asked to do something she did in a quiet efficient manner providing us with timely updates and reassurance that things would get there in the end. She was friendly and supportive but remained professional throughout our contact with her. I can honestly say that without her guidance and support we would, in all reality, have removed our property from sale preventing us from retiring to the coast.

Terrible experience with McCartneys on the lettings side. There's been no end to issues with the property!! It takes DAYS for anyone to be sent out to do repairs on a property that is already rammed full of issues!!!!! When you do get through to them you're spoken to with utter contempt with a total disregard to the seriousness of the situation!! I should name names then you'll all know who to STAY AWAY from!!! Appalling behaviour from McCartneys in Ludlow!!!! Find another agent

I cant praise the level of service I received from McCartney's high enough, the valuation was spot on with some other estate agents valuing the property over £100,000 less. (It sold in around 3 weeks) The photographs and drone images were an absolute credit to the property and the brochure was of very high quality. I was consistently kept in the loop every step of the process and when I had some issues with my conveyancer they advised of another local company that managed to complete within the three week deadline which was outstanding. Unprofessional and total lack of interest and commitment to sell despite being a cash buyer. No one followed up on viewings to discuss the properties, apart from sending a form through to be completed. If I was trying to sell a property I would certainly not recommend going through this agent.

Unprofessional lettings department

Unprofessional lettings department, had verbal agreement accepted by landlords (should have got it in writing) only to find out they were still showing people around the property, then tried to make out we hadn’t contacted them to accept the the agreement even though we had rang and sent several emails confirming we wanted the property. We had call logs and emails to prove we had! We have since found a lovely estate agent that has bent over backwards to help us, showing us that not all estate agents behave this way. Would not recommend to others to use them and definitely will never be using them again.

Lie and rip off disabled people

Absolute con artists! Followed tenancy to the letter, followed all advice given by them and still trying to rip off a disabled man and his family. Both them and landlord broke tenancy the whole time and didn't care one bit. Left us homeless and actively still trying to con us out of our deposit despite doing exactly what they told us. Disgusting,lying company that thinks they can do what they want, break the rules and contracts and get way with it. Reported to obundsman and will be giving both them and the deposit protection scheme all our evidence including of the disrepair we were left to live in despite always paying full rent and not having any use of the garden. I was also injured due to the disrepair and both themselves and landlord refused any details regarding the landlords insurance

Misleading experience

We were about to make an offer on a property when we discovered the agent had listed it for £75,000 less than the asking price. It was advertised for £375,000 in the window. The agent told us that the details she gave us were incorrect - the price on these was £450,000, the price in the window was the correct one. We viewed the property twice and were shown around by the owners. The agent refused to consider any offer we were going to make, she said it would be too low.

Buying a house blindfolded

If you want a blindfolded way to start you new house experience just buy one through this company. Yes they pay some form of lip service but only just. So don't expect the firm to liase with the owner of the house you bought for minor details like waste collection and basic instructions for let's say central heating. They won't even inform you how to get your hands on the keys to the house you have bought. Thus a blindfolded way to your new house. Update, my wife is leaving flowers for the new owner of our house and yet this firm, which has been a tad lack lustre, expects us to pick the keys from their office. We are buying just a bit more than a car and yet the "middle man" and the conveyancer has had the final say and we move into this house in the dark.
