GoogleWe tried to buy a new build from them and we were given the totally wrong information regarding price, plot etc they then more or less said we were lying when we discussed putting an offer of the asking price but later were told 'oh no that one is 20,000 more' but it was the exact house we viewed !!! Which we actually viewed twice - very unprofessional !

Completely incompetent from start to finish at Hastings branch. Nothing was ever the estate agent’s responsibility. We ended up wasting weeks on a purchase being told that documents and safety certificates etc were ‘imminent’. Nothing ever transpired so we eventually had to pull out having lost £1k on solicitors fees and surveys. I asked for a formal way to make a complaint, but my email was simply ignored, hence this review.

What can I say about this Estate Agent, nothing complimentary that's for sure. We received no feedback from them after viewings what so ever, I had to constantly call them. They arranged an open day for our house so we went out for the day, they failed to lock my back door. Shoddy! After the open day, still no feedback until I waited a few days and called them. The only other viewings arranged by them did not even fit in with the times I had advised would be convenient, so it meant I had to change arrangements with my dog walker at short notice. On one occasion they called to confirm a viewing that I knew nothing about! We then saw a property we wanted to view in Bexhill, even though we had been told Fox and Sons had this vast network of agents throughout the UK we could not be found on their data base, even though we were registered with their Crawley branch. After viewing this property we made a full asking price offer. I left a message on Fox & Sons Crawley answerphone to let them know we had made an offer, which had been accepted in principle and asked if someone could call me on the MondaY. No-one called, I had to call them yet again. I took this opportunity to ask the manager why we were not on the Bexhill database, only to be told, "it was probably someone who didn't know how to use the system" I also asked what they could do to get some viewings or if there was any marketing activity they could do to help get things moving, bearing in mind we really wanted the property in Bexhill, the response was "it's all about the price and that a reduction would need to be substantial" Having since had several other estate agents to give us a market appraisal, they have all valued our property at £10,000 less than Fox & Sons did. it would seem to me they tell you the house is worth more to get your business, then when nothing happens they make you reduce the price. Trying to move home is stressful enough without having to deal with people who quite clearly are not fit for purpose! I would never use this agent again, even to the point where I am looking to buy a property I won't even consider it if it is up for sale with Fox and Sons, the house we had liked so much in Bexhill and had our offer agreed in principle, then appeared on Rightmove a few days later with Sold STC across the advert. No-one even had the courtesy to call me or send me an email to let me know. Poor service seems endemic in this company.

GoogleI was recommended Fox And Sons by a close family member recently as I was buying my first property, and I can say the service was exceptionally good. Our agent Kane worked closely with me and my partner to find the right property and we couldn't be happier with the result. His patience, service and efficiency was at the highest standard and I couldn't recommend him and Fox and Sons Polegate any higher. 5 stars!

Crawley branch, , We went on the market with them , they never showed up to viewings , our viewings also never showed up and although they found a buyer we did all the work/viewings and they never chased or called or in fact communicated with anyone - when I complained they said I quote - our fee is not for good service it’s for finding a buyer only

The worst Agency I have tried throughout my three-year stay in Brighton! They advertised a property, handled the viewing and handled most of the paperwork but when the landlord blocked me to avoid returning the deposit they said that they don't manage the property and that they only advertise it!They never told me about the matter and I am left without my deposit with them stating that they can't help in any way!

They have not communicated or contacted us with weekly reports. They have not discussed why they are not booking any viewings. The photos of our property were of poor quality. They have not provided the service promised or any kind of service in attempting to sell our home. I would not recommend them to anybody.

Update. I have now had 5 phone calls to ask if I want to list my property as a short term let. 5 times I have asked to be removed from their database.If Fox are reading this please sort the clueless team you have engaged to cold call.

I recently went through a buying process with Fox and Sons at Brighton Western Road. Unfortunately, for other reasons, the purchase was slow and difficult and didn't work out in the end, but throughout a stressful 8 months, all the staff at Fox and Sons were consistently great, Sam in particular.

Even 1 star is too much ! Over valued house by 45 thousand, then they informed us it was up too high! Had to chase them for feedback from viewings , staff extremely unhelpful ONCE they had the property on Their portfolio, have removed house from the market will wait until we are out of contract and use someone else, also their fees are astronomical.
