GoogleErin at William H Brown in Watton was amazing - she made the whole process of buying so stress free. She contacted me weekly to keep me updated and actioned everything in a timely manner. She even visited on the moving day to gift a moving in box and emailed a week later to check I had settled in. Could not fault the office - an excellent service at all times. 100% recommend Watton branch, but especially Erin. Thank you.

GoogleWe cannot recommend Erin from the Watton branch of WH Brown highly enough! From the very first conversation to the final stages of selling, she has been the absolute epitome of professionalism. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable and efficient, but she is also genuinely kind, friendly, and always willing to help.
Erin consistently went above and beyond what was expected of her. Nothing was ever too much trouble, whether it was answering our endless questions, keeping us fully informed at every step, or offering reassurance during stressful moments. Her communication was outstanding, and we always felt supported and in safe hands.
Selling a house can be overwhelming, but Erin made it feel seamless. Her dedication, hard work, and attention to detail truly set her apart. She is an absolute credit to the WH Brown brand and they are incredibly fortunate to have her. Without a doubt, she deserves recognition for the exceptional service she provides.

GoogleI have just used W H Brown to both buy and sell a property, in the last year. I can honestly say, I was extremely impressed with the service and help they provided. Erin Bisley was especially helpful in getting the sale pushed through quickly and efficiently. She was excellent at corresponding between myself and the buyer, along with both sets of solicitors and was a real delight to work with. I will definitely be using W H Brown services for any future property transactions.

GoogleIncredibly happy, Erin has been amazing, me and my partner are first time buyers and from start to finish Erin has been so helpful. Right from the start the viewing process she made us feel very comfortable not pressured but was also very knowledgeable with our questions. Erin explained everything and the different stages. Once we progressed right through to completion Erin dealt with each process getting stages completed and in great time allowing us now to complete our dream move in time for Xmas. Couldn’t be happier with the service and would definitely use again. Thank you so much!

GoogleMe & my partner are first time buys!
I can say that Molly has been an absolute pleasure to deal with, her customer service skills are on top form, she was so helpful on so many questions that we needed answers too. She kept me up to date with what was going on & where the process was. To also just checking in to make sure everything was ok at our end. I can say that I’ve heard a lot of bad things with estate agents from my friends on house buys. But I have had the best experience ever & I thank you so much for the time & effort you have put into us on completing our first property buy.
Kind regards

TrustpilotI was the winning bidder for the…
I was the winning bidder for the property and, following the auction which ibs iamsold I was taking steps to arrange the required mortgage documentation and obtain my Agreement in Principle (AIP).
There was initially some delay because I later became aware that the relevant person was away on holiday.
Importantly, the auctioneer instructed me by telephone to wait until I had obtained my AIP before paying the Reservation Fee. I relied on this instruction and understood that I was following the process as advised by the auctioneer.
At no point was I informed that my winning bid had been cancelled and was sold .I only became aware of this when I followed up with the agent yesterday and was told that the property had already been offered to the second bidder.
I am therefore concerned that the property was offered to another bidder without giving me any prior notice or opportunity to proceed, particularly when I had been following the auctioneer’s specific instruction regarding the Reservation Fee.
I acted in good faith throughout the process and relied on the information and instructions provided to me by the auctioneer. I did not withdraw my bid or indicate that I was unwilling or unable to proceed.
I feel really frustrated about this , no proper communication.

GoogleWilliam H Brown in Watton were amazing at selling our property. We had been on the market for 6 months before they came round the value the property and they managed to sell it before it was listed on any portals. The office have been so communicative, especially Erin, who worked so hard from start to finish. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking to sell in the area.

Anne Luby has been amazing from the very beginning. She took the time to arrange regular Teams meetings, which made the whole experience feel much more personal. TrustpilotAvoid like the plague.
We rented our property out with William H Brown managing it in Suffolk. It started fine, tenant was found and all was good, however communication broke down quickly afterwards. When originally signing up with them we didn't know it was all outsourced through 'sequence', if we had known, and read reviews then we would have avoided it at all costs. They were just absolutely atrocious at communication, emails not answered, no clear answers, had to be chased up for everything. They didn't provide the rental factsheet to tenant even after checking with them that they had, this could result in huge fines so glad we checked with the tenant and then did it ourselves. It was also a mission to leave them, 6 months notice (which was in the agreement and with how useless they are they obviously rely on that), all while they were totally incompetent. We now manage the property ourselves and it is so much easier and without all their hidden fees. £100 for a letter etc. Please do not use William H Brown or Sequence in any way to rent your property, the stress caused and total ineptitude is not worth it. There must be better agents out there.

Callum from theDownham Market branch has been so helpful since day1 when he came to view my property for rental purposes. He is very knowledgeable which is vital, but his extra qualities give him the edge. His communication skills are excellent..always available to answer any queries. Very quick to respond . He is very approachable, warm and friendly, yet still keeping a very professional demeanor.
I couldn't rate him highly enough...if I could give 10 stars I would!! Thank youCallum and William H Brown for your very high customer service.

TrustpilotI have just re registered with them…
I have just re registered with them (2nd time) on the back of a complaint due to lack of communication re properties which I had to give them information for type of property required and budget (felt exhausting). Why did this company remove me from their mailing list after 3 years without my consent, it’s unacceptable. There needs to be a more fair and respectful process and they just left me hanging. Also discovered they’re a franchise company so that explains why they treat the public like trash…..need to improve their service for sure…..

TrustpilotDo not use as a Brooker!!
Used as a Brooker for my first mortgage 6 yrs ago. Used them twice on renewals as a life time member - each time paid £99 admin fee (for pratically nothing) plus broker get over £200 from lender for my application.
This year, far more clued up and do not use William H Brown as brooker. They charge you £99 fee for what? (Call it admin fee) plus they get money from the lender. already.
Use Mojo (excellent) or go directly to your lender (for rate deals) if you have an existing mortgage already. Cuts out all the unnecessary so-called 'admin fee' or what William H Brown call 'life time member'.
Disappointed in William H Brown for taking customers naivety for granted.

TrustpilotNot the best communication, failed to refund money, treated like a second class citizen.
I’m disappointed with my experience with William H Brown during my recent property purchase.
At the beginning, I was assured that using their recommended mortgage adviser and conveyancing firm would make everything nice and straightforward. In hindsight, I clearly misunderstood my position in the hierarchy, as i was just treated as a money bag.
The main issue was an upfront payment I made for searches. I paid the money to William H Brown with the understanding that it would be passed to Conveyancing Direct. Unfortunately, it seems to have entered some sort of financial Bermuda Triangle.
I was later told I would be refunded. Lovely. Except the refund never arrived.
Unfortunately, the sale still needed to move forward, so I had to pay Conveyancing Direct directly myself to ensure they could close the transaction. In other words, I had already paid for the searches once, the money had apparently gone missing somewhere between the kingdoms, and I then had to procure more money myself and pay so the sale could actually proceed.
After completion, I chased the refund by email several weeks later. No response.
So I called three different William H Brown agents on the same day. One told me they no longer dealt with it because the case was closed. Another kindly promised to email me instructions on what to do, which, much like my refund, never arrived. The third promised to call me back.
I also found the mortgage adviser’s approach disappointing, as I was repeatedly offered additional packages and insurance products despite making it clear that I only wanted the services necessary to complete the purchase. She also made an offer at lower interest rate but neglected to lock it in. When it was time to sign things off, i found myself with a higher interest rate.
The house purchase itself eventually completed, but the handling of my money afterwards has been particularly disappointing. I’m not sure what the official refund procedure is at William H Brown, but apparently it involves patience, multiple phone calls and accepting that once your money enters the building, it might not come out.
I would expect much better communication, coordination and accountability, especially when you’ve already had to pay the same cost twice just to get your own property purchase over the line.

TrustpilotExtremely disappointing experience with…
Extremely disappointing experience with William H Brown - Welwyn Garden City
I was provided with incorrect service charge information for a property I was seriously considering purchasing. I relied on the figures advertised and proceeded with the purchase process, resulting in legal and conveyancing costs before the discrepancy was identified.
What is particularly frustrating is that the incorrect service charge was later acknowledged, yet William H Brown still proceeded to put the property back on the market without correcting the service charge information. Despite acknowledging that the figures were incorrect, they refused to take responsibility for the costs I had incurred.
I understand that mistakes can happen, but continuing to advertise a property with incorrect information after the error has been brought to their attention is extremely disappointing and raises serious concerns about the accuracy of the information provided to potential buyers.
I would strongly advise anyone purchasing a property through William H Brown to independently verify all service charge and leasehold information before committing to the purchase.

TrustpilotMy experience with William H Brown was…
My experience with William H Brown was a nightmare.
1. The pictures of the apartment I wanted to rent was completely different from what was on the website. The apartment was a total let down
2 . I was pressured to make a withholding deposit, which at the time I was not aware that it was non refundable.
3 . Immediately after making the payment, informed the agent that I don’t like the apartment and not sure if I wanted, mind you all of this was on a Saturday, so by Monday morning I called to cancel and requested my deposit back, and that was when the horrific situation began.
4 Both the agents and the landlords are extremely unreliable, the lies they tell.
1 month after am yet to receive my deposit.🫤🫤🫤

TrustpilotPLEASE STEER WELL CLEAR!!
Poor communication, false promises from sales, lettings and mortgage services. Started off great but once they've had your money they don't care about resolving any issues. Don't bother with the lifetime membership as you'll have to do all the work yourself. Don't bother with management services for letting a property either, they won't tell you about any problems and they'll let your tenants damage your property and steal from you without any reconciliation measures or compensation. I sold my flat over a year ago and I'm still battling with them and the Zero Deposit scheme to compensate me for my property being stolen and damage that I paid to fix for the new owner out of my own pocket. PLEASE STEER CLEAR, SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE!!

TrustpilotAs a tenant this is the worst rental agency I've ever dealt with - expected more from such a big name
As a tenant this is the worst rental agent I've ever dealt with. 1) Difficult to get in touch with - they hardly ever answer the phone. 2) The property was dirty when we moved in, no inventory provided. 3) The property was managed by Sequence Ltd who have provided a very disappointing service - early on we were told (via a phone call and after several weeks of us asking) to arrange for repair of a maintenance issue ourselves and that this could be deducted off our rent afterwards, and that the landlord had instructed this. We never received the refund, they said because they didn't have records of that instruction. Several staff members had started then left during our tenancy which didn't help (we were there for 6 months). 4) We are now having to contact Tenancy Deposit Scheme to get our deposit back relating to a different issue, mostly due to our inadequate landlord who it seems is trying to claim a random amount of money anywhere he might get away with it (we left the property in a cleaner state than when we arrived to try to avoid any possible excuses for deduction from deposit). Sequence Ltd doesn't appear to know about or be bothered about the law and tenant's rights.

GoogleSorted out my solicitor and mortgage and then I was left pretty much to sort my house purchase by myself. Emails where ignored and when answered there was alway an excuse why they had been " not seen"
I sent an email to cancel building insurance on four occasions and was told it was going to be sorted. So after the house sale was completed I get a letter stating they had applied building insurance for my new home!! Was very expensive also. Had to phone the company up and cancel as I had already got my own
Abysmal service. Think twice before letting them sort out your mortgage.
Jake does get a 5 star due to his happy, helpful attitude and great cup of tea🙂 unfortunately he was let down by the mortgage consultant.
