GoogleWe paid an external snag company to review our house and they found over 100 issues with our property all of which broke HNBC standards/regulations.
This report was handed to Taylor Wimpey when we moved in and had the evaluation done five months ago.
Most of these issues have still not even been looked at, very few have been resolved and a large number are ongoing.
Both our en-suite and main bathroom showers were unusable for weeks when we first moved in as they leaked in multiple places and I had to shower at the nearby gym. Taylor Wimpey had no urgency resolving the issue and when they came to inspect simply covered all their bad work with sealant. Eventually one shower had to be completely replaced and the other is still being worked on as recently as this afternoon.
We recently also spotted black goo dripping down between the glass in our living room.
They also just didn't do some of our extras such as extra sockets and spotlights and when we asked if they could add them in they just told us we didn't need them.
Sockets were the wrong way round, not level and in different places to our drawings.
There is no membrane between the tiles and the wall so behind your shower will mould within two years like ours has and they will only patch it no put a membrane is which is the new NHBC standard.
Despite the clear photos proving the mould through our bathroom wall, Anne from customer service said "Essentially our wet room spec is, waterproof plasterboard > waterproof tile adhesive and mould-resistant waterproof grout. This will provide adequate waterproofing." Its not waterproof as per my livechat conversation with British Gypsum:
"We do not have any 'waterproof' plasterboard. We have a moisture resistant board and a tile backer. We do have guidance on website for bathrooms etc if you will allow me to find it for you?"
Be very careful as they say they will work with you every step of the way but with multiple issues they have argued against it, claimed that photo evidence isn't enough and said things are on order for months on months.
I would honestly would not recommend Taylor Wimpey to anyone looking to buy a new home.

***Two years on and we still have horrendous issues with Taylor Wimpey and our house. The ongoing issues with our ensuite has now resulted into water leaking into our walls causing tiles to fall off and black mould to grow IN our walls. (This has happened to our nextdoor neighbours with water pouring down their stairs through the ensuite shower in the middle of the night). They blankly refuse to waterproof our shower area saying they will only fix it to the standards they built it as, which clearly isn't fit for purpose.
Our ensuite bathroom window has randomly exploded due to incorrect installation and they have blamed myself and my partner for smashing it. HORRENDOUS company ran by cowboys***
We regret buying this house. Your house will not be finished to the standards of the beautiful showrooms. I could go on about the amount of issues we've had with our house and how we were forgotten about.
ALL of our sinks/showers/bathtub/some pipes are not water tight. Still to this day our ensuite shower leaks out from the frame on both the side and the base. They've been out to "fix", "refit" and as I was cleaning it today the water is STILL leaking out the sides on to the floor. I was told and quote when I contacted them about it "when I have had issues like this raised previously Roman Showers advised myself that the cubicles and screens are not designed to have water continually sprayed direct onto the same spot as this does not simulate the normal spray that would hit the screen". I have never been in a shower where I've had to avoid getting direct water on the screen.
The second you hand your money over and sign that contract you are forgotten about. They will object handle you and try not to fix the issues THEY HAVE CAUSED from their awful work!
Do not buy a house here!

GoogleDO NOT RECOMMEND
My roof has duct tape to secure the vents to the beams and when i questioned them about it i was told there was nothing that they were willing to do about it. extremely poor customer servicem once you've paid and moved in they couldnt care less about you.

GooglePoor quality housing developer with tons of issues that they do not offer to resolve or fix. They just look to blame everyone but themselves and wont resolve any issue even if there is obvious photo proof of it occuring.

GoogleLeaking windows, had them replaced twice now and still issues with them. Taylor Wimpey have now stated they are moving to a new window supplier. Our windows also all scrape when opening and closing. When our windows were replaced the second time the window fitter also reversed into our house and didn't even tell us, he knocked the electric charge point off the wall.
