Fraud risk

Refused to return deposit after tenancy ended, eventually complying four months later after we enacted formal action. Ignored all our calls and emails, and during the little communication I could get with them I was treated with more rudeness and dishonesty than I have ever experienced. In particular Deposits Manager Paddy and Leanne consistently treated us with the utmost contempt. Probably some sort of illegal operations behind the scenes. Avoid!

Ashleigh was amazing from start to finish. She really looked after us and made sure we were updated regularly whether that be with viewings, feedback from viewings or how our sale was progressing. Her communication with us and how she supported and guided us through the whole process was outstanding and we really couldn’t have done it without her. If you are thinking of using Bridgfords in Culcheth make sure you ask for Ashleigh because she really is the best!

I recently moved into Brigford property and I can't express how grateful I am for the fantastic support from Lucy and Murray. From the moment I began the application process, they were incredibly helpful and attentive to my needs. Lucy guided me through all the paperwork with clarity and patience, ensuring I understood everything. On move-in day, Murray went above and beyond to assist me, he helped with any questions I had and made sure everything was in order. To top it all off, I received a delightful box of chocolates as a sweet welcome gift, which added such a nice touch! Their friendly demeanor and professionalism truly made my transition seamless. Christie, was fantastic from start to finish, her communication with every aspect of the sale was A+. Our situation was not an easy one but she was professional throughout and made me aware of any delays or complications that could prevent us moving forward. I decided to move forward with the solicitor they recommended which was the best move I made. My only minus would be that they don’t always answer the phone and you have to leave a message (I personally hate answering machines) but someone always calls back within 24hours. I highly recommend Bridgefords Estate Agents Culcheth.

What can I say about Bridgfords in Bamber Bridge, what an absolutely fabulous team of professionals to deal with especially Jane Catterall! This amazing lady has gone above and beyond for us firstly regarding the sale of my mum's house after she passed away, and now ourselves. Without Jane with her knowledge and wealth of experience our house move would have collapsed, she did everything in her power to get the job done, she went above and beyond, and is also a very understanding and caring individual remaining professional throughout. Couldn't have done this without you! Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Some things never change - still shoddy

Some things never change. We bought our house through Bridgfords 5 years ago- not a good experience. They don’t answer the phone or answer emails. Today, as we’ve decided to sell the house, I thought to myself "maybe they’ve changed." I’ve called them 4 X, each time being redirected to an answering machine.I’ve emailed them and no reply. A continuation of a shoddy service continues. The 2 other estate agents I’ve contacted have replied more or less straight away and visits have been arranged. I honestly don’t know how Bridgfords survives in the current economic climate.

2 month+ deposit return delay

I rented a property managed by Bridgfords and moved out two months ago. I still have not received my deposit back. Since moving out, I have called and emailed the branch multiple times to follow up. My calls have been hung up on, and my emails have gone unanswered. For an agency that expects tenants to meet strict deadlines and requirements throughout the tenancy, this level of service at the end of the process has been disappointing. I would think carefully before renting through Bridgfords based on this experience.

Andrew, Edward and Christie are a fantastic team at Culcheth office. Their communications are first class as is their attention to detail. The Customer service is without fault! Christie is our main contact and she has put in great efforts to help us prepare for the complete process of selling. We felt valued by her and we wish her a long prosperous career with Bridgfords. The fees charged were very competitive (not the cheapest, but well managed and lots of other benefits such as advertising, and conveyancing.) Thanks again!

I recently bought my first house through Bridgfords Culcheth and received excellent support and help from both Christie and Lindsey. I was always kept informed as things progressed. When different options were available they were always explained clearly to me with recommendations. Lindsey would often prepare a few steps in advance of where things currently were, to ensure everything ran smoothly. Christie was always very friendly and courteous when providing updates. Asides a slight delay that happened higher up in the chain, the entire process ran smoothly - I'm very grateful to Christie and Lindsey for everything they did and I'm very happy with my new house.

In the past year I have dealt with 3 house transactions and viewed many houses which has brought me into contact with numerous estate agents. Bridgfords have come out top every time! From the first contact to the last I cannot fault Bridgfords, and they were worth every penny. Andrew was my initial contact and he arranged the photos and advertising with no pressure, being approachable and knowledgeable with the upmost professionalism. He was always available throughout and willing to help with any concerns I may have. Christie was the main contact and sales negotiator thereafter and it would be difficult to praise her more; she really is the absolute best. She exemplifies conscientiousness, pro-activeness, enthusiasm, and commitment, together with great communication skills, keeping me informed every step of the way. I was unfortunate enough to have a sale fall through at the last minute (Completely unpredictable, no fault of Bridgfords) and within a few hours Christie had my house up for sale again, contacted previously interested viewers, and had new viewings booked in, whilst liaising with me throughout and being incredibly supportive at what was an extremely difficult time. She then managed to sell my house again within two weeks! Christie worked tirelessly to make sure that the whole chain remained in contact, checking out queries, and chasing any missing information with other estate agents. I think it says a lot that my seller's estate agent also could not praise her enough and repeatedly told me of the high esteem Christie was held in as well as how skilled she was. Christie made an extremely stressful time bearable and I felt supported throughout. I genuinely cannot thank her enough!

1 Star is too many stars in my opinion...

I approached Bridgfords and Michael Poole last year to see about selling my late fathers Bungalow. I found their sales tactics to be a bit off, immediately trying to upsell me services I personally felt had no value, insisting it would make every difference. I begged to differ and having a bad gut feeling about them and a positive experience with Michael Poole I chose Michael Poole instead. Then came the phone calls trying to get me to switch and saying they would do a better job. After the second phone call I made it clear I was definitely not going to change my mind and asked them to remove my number from their records and not call me again. I received several other phone calls 2 or 3 weeks apart from each other and after repeatedly asking them to not call me again, the final call I received I told them (not very nicely) that if they contacted me one more time I would report them to the police for harassment as I had made it clear on several occasions I didn't want them to contact me.

The worst out there, put us through so much drama, very stressful and mentally draining, their mortgage broker is absolutely useless, 4 months later we were declined, absolute waste of time, waste of energy, they just didn't want us to buy it for some reason, maybe because we are a different skin colour to them! Bridgefords are the worst estate agents…

Bridgefords are the worst estate agents i have ever come across, i am so glad i did not decide to sell my house with them! They never answer the calls, constantly leaving voicemails, very rarely they call you back! I viewed a property with them a week or so ago & no follow up phone call the following day, I wanted to make an offer , left several voicemails & nothing! Please avoid Bridgefords at all costs. They are the worst estate agents i have ever come across. Please stay away!

Valuation?? They can't be bothered!

Booked in a valuation with Bridgfords. They called the following morning at 830 which was very efficient. Was advised over the phone that this would take 30 minutes. Had a phone call from the Sale branch on the morning of the appointment. Asked if i intended to put my house up for sale, said it would be dependent on the equity we have in the house. He said the valuation would take and hour and a half and he could send a virtual valuation. It sounded like the guy couldn't be bothered at all. If this is the level of experience you get from someone that is trying to get your business, I would hate to think about the experience you would have selling through this place. Really poor service!

Have reported manager to property…

Have reported manager to property ombudsman. Bridgfords agreed a one percent sale fee to sell grandmothers property. The branch manager, Tammi Moulton, then completed the sale contract on our behalf, changing the fee to 'percentage of asking price' without consent - leading to an increase in fee by hundreds of pounds. This is, of course, unethical, illegal and we are challenging this. Add this to poor service, poor marketing of the property, and poor attitude of the staff members, in particular Tammi Moulton, and I don't think it is possible to find a worse estate agent in Staffordshire. Needless to say, I would avoid using.
