Laura and her team in the Chiswick Rental offices went the extra mile in advising us on every aspect of finding a new tenant for our property including help with plumbers, decorators and removals and most importantly in finding us a good selection of prospective new tenants to choose from. I'd like to thank the whole team at John D Wood in South Kensington and in particular Umar and Angelo for introducing a buyer and working together with all parties (solicitors, managing agents, freeholders, buyer and vendor) in a friendly, personalised and dedicated way from start to finish. Although the whole process - from offer and sales memorandum till exchange of contracts and completion of the sale at the agreed price - took approximately 12 weeks, Umar and Angelo have always kept me informed of every single step towards achieving a successful sale. It was often just a text or quick phone call - even on a Sunday - which kept me motivated throughout the process. I believe that with John D Wood I have been in very good hands and would therefore highly recommend them.

GoogleAmanda in Southfields was very helpful and professional in renting out my flat, she organised the Gas Safety Certificate and recommended a very reasonable painter and decorator to spruce up my flat. It was rented out in good time

We have recently had to move during COVID. It was incredibly stressful and made worse when we found ourselves unable to access our deposit back through no fault of our own. At first I was not happy with the responses I was getting until Rupert Simmonds stepped in. He went above and beyond to cut through red tape and help us to get our deposit back in full. Rupert is a credit to John D Wood!

Really bad when it comes to services. My deposit is stuck with them for more than 2 months. Always some lame excuse for not paying back. There is an property manager named Moesha, who will never address any query but will just be harsh I hope to give below 1 star but that the least i can go.

Claire has been excellent in helping us find a rental properly from abroad. She was super flexible with our requirements and timing and always kept us in the loop once we found the property. She did an extra video viewing and asked many questions to current tenants on our behalf. I would highly recommend Claire and her team and if were to rent again would definitely use them!

I have a property which is fully managed by JohnDWoods , they couldn't renew my contract due to sick leave of their employee , they cant solve my problem I have to reach to tenant by myself and trying to solve the issues , 20 days pasts the contract end date .

This company make an appearance of disorganization, but could not possible stay in business, if they were, indeed, as disorganized as they appear. Having managed to fend me off for three days whilst I was house-hunting in France; I finally found that the gem of a house I had found - in Perpignan - was taken off the market; in order that it could be purchased by a relative of one of the partners/directors of John D Wood. Worse than inefficient and unprofessional ... very close to fraudulent! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!

GoogleWithout a doubt, the best Agent in Southfields. Having unsuccessfully sold our flat through two agents, I was recommended John D Wood, as people that would make it happen. The company, and especially Jake, are different to others. They are honest and realistic about what the true value of your property is, even if it isn't what you want to hear. These characteristics certainly are a rarity in this industry. They were also genuine and pleasant to deal with, and most importantly, so persistent and hard working, doing everything possible to secure a sale, and more importantly, to see it over the line, despite numerous challenges along the way. Where other agents got bored after a few weeks, these guys never gave up. In the current market conditions, this made all the difference, leading to us successfully selling our flat, and making sure we made it into a family home. If you are in any doubt, this is the company to choose.

I rented a property which was managed by this company. The agents made promises they did not meet and the management agents are extremely poor. There was a flood and the information provided by the company turned out to be in accurate so they have refused to reimburse me for the hotel and all costs. I have had to instruct my lawyers to start a court process.

Though the property we originally enquired about was unavailable, Jessica was intuitive enough to show me another property that ended up being exactly what we wanted. She was personable and professional through the entire process, from viewing to negotiation to paperwork. The paperwork even came through three days earlier than anticipated! John D Wood actually turned a process we were dreading (thanks to previous experiences with other estate agents) into an enjoyable transaction. GoogleJohn D Wood greatly helped myself and my girlfriend when we were searching for a flat as part of our move down to London. We are from a long way out of the area, and dealing with Chelsea Smith was an absolute pleasure and extremely helpful in terms of the information and details of the area we were able to gain. While helping us with finding a flat, she also offered us friendly reassurance and advice about making the move down to London. Unfortunately we did not end up letting from John D Wood in Southfields, but that was nothing to do with the quality of service or price, simply that we opted for a different area. We would very much recommend them, and would definitely pay another visit in the future should we be looking for properties in the area.
