Avoid any property managed by them. We’ve had some mixed acceptable experience finding our current flat as tenants. However, after moving in, the proper management has been nothing but terrible. We had 5-6 requests about the flat as moved in. They immediately responded to the one about rent payment, then took three weeks to fix part of the broken lights at home. Dead silence about the rest. Property management is very unresponsive and don’t get anything done at all unless is about your rent.

Quite jealous of all the people with five-star reviews, unfortunately I have not had a similar experience. The whole process generally felt unprofessional and wasn’t as smooth as I’d hoped for as a first time buyer. During the whole ordeal, I was pressured regularly into making decisions only to be delayed further with the survey and completion date. After purchasing the property I also found out that my flat was fitted with an illegal electric meter. After contacting Dexters numerous times for help in relaying a message to the sellers for more information, I have had no contact back from anyone. However they were kind enough to hold my keys for me for a few days after completion, which helped.

We had to move urgently from our place because our landlord wanted to sell the house and after much research we found a house and contacted Amalia from Dexters in Putney. She was very friendly and considerate of our urgency to find a place so she helped us as quickly as she could, keeping us updated of any changes occurring during the process of letting. She was very communicative and she didn't hesitate to respond to our enquiries at any time. I am extremely pleased to recommend her to anyone who wants to rent a property using Dexter as an agency. I made the mistake of trusting Dexters…

I made the mistake of trusting Dexters again after an initial incident where pure profit over people made me wish I never encountered them, but I loved the look of a place being advertised and couldn't help but at least attempt to see if it was right for me. In the end not only was it a "bait and switch" the property being advertised was already off the market but I 1- got inedadted with irrelevant properties in my inbox 2- was stood up at a viewing that was scheduled and 3 had all of my communication preferences ignored. I won't fall again for the trickery and horrificly unprofessional conduct of Dexters again.

Completely ghosted by an agent after we had already started looking at properties together. Tried to follow up via phone and email multiple times, no reply. A simple email saying „this property isn’t available anymore“ or whatever the reason might be is simply the professional thing to do, and it’s not hard. Will not be contacting them again for my next home search!

Dexters got me excellent tenants in no time, there was only one week between the previous tenants leaving and the current tenants arriving! Recently, following a planned visit to the property, we have identified a number of issues that had to be repaired. Bryan clearly and promptly communicated with the landlord as well as myself. In a word it is the personal attention…

In a word it is the personal attention that my wife and I get from Natasha Bedenik. Our properties are managed from two different offices and tasks delegated to different people, accounts, letting, maintenance. With people standing in during absences at times, we get messages from about 9 different people and at times there are inconsistencies. For us the answer is to ask Natasha . Starting mid-August this year there was confusion amongst staff and estate management companies sending notices and invoices inconsistently to Dexters or directly to us such that some invoices were overlooked. Natasha sorted it out and now it seems to be running smoothly

Dexters (kentish Town)​ Avoid at all costs.

I wasted five months of my time trying to sell my property with them. Day one branch manager values my property with all the usual speil estate agents use to get you signed up. He valued my property between £400k and £475k which was to large a range!! I think this is done to offer properties too investors at the lower end of the range they know will be interested before it goes live on right move to the general public. I think these property investors are in cahoots with Dexters from the start? After signing you up the pressure starts to get you signed up with a solicitor they recommend on a no sale no fee deal, I'm selling a property with no chain so all the hard work is done by the buyers solicitor, there recommended solicitor quoted me a fee of £2.4k, this is when the dodgy alarm bells started ringing, I later appointed my own solicitor for less than £1k. The day before my property goes live on rightmove he recommends a starting price of £450k, that's £25k price drop from his maximum valuation two weeks earlier? After my property went I live I got lots of interest and viewings from rightmove, then I noticed something strange, after any potential buyers had viewed my property Dexters took them straight into my next door neighbours property? What Dexters failed to tell me was they where also marketing my neighbours almost identical property at a starting price £5k lower than mine. It sounds unbelievable but true! After a few weeks Dexters call me with an offer from a first time buyer who they say has a deposit ready to apply for a mortgage, after excepting their second offer I get pested by Dexters to appoint my solicitor before the buyer has there mortgage in place to buy? What a big mistake I made, always get proof of funds to buy before appointing a solicitor. After appointing my solicitor the buyer's details are sent over, It turns out the buyer is a buy to let property investor. Dexters later denied telling me he was a first time buyer and the staff member who told me this had moved to another branch. (BS) The same staff member answered my phone call two days before the sale fell through? The investor buyer then had his first mortgage valuation declined, After the buyers second mortgage valuation he claimed the lenders mortgage offer wasn't high enough too complete the sale and asked me to lower the price buy £30k???After several phone calls with a different Dexters staff member I agreed a price cut of £15k with the buyer stating he could find short fall amount with the help of friends and family to complete the sale. (ALL B.S.)Sale back on track (I thought) until the branch manager returned from holiday the next day and got involved again stating it was his sale and the other staff member was only covering? He told me the buyer was having a third mortgage application for the original selling price with the £15k price cut I agreed being allocated for property repairs? It sounded dodgy but had nothing to do with me (I thought). The next day the buyers solicitor emailed my solicitor to say that I'd agreed to register the sale at the original selling price but receiving £15k less and asking me to confirm this dodgy deal. This would of also meant me paying capital gains tax on £15k more than I was receiving for the sale. They thought I was born yesterday with the word mug tattooed on my forehead. A few days after his third mortgage valuation the buy to let investor pulled out. Dexters recommended remarketing my property which they'd already had removed from right move, I've no idea why they done that when contracts hadn't been signed? I thought proper agent practice was to mark adverts STC? From start to finish the whole deal stunk, this review is one hundred percent true, I have no reason to lie, recorded telephone records and emails would back me up on all of this but I doubt very much if Dexters keep them? Dexters say before you sign you can pull out of the agreement at anytime which is true, but don't forget to read the small print, you actually have a too give them 28 days notice before you're free to find a trustworthy estate agent. Take my advice and save yourself some time and money and stay clear of Dexters.
