Terrible experience with this estate agent. Would avoid! Me and my wife tried to buy a flat nearby. When the survey came back it had all sorts wrong with it, which the estate agent claims they knew nothing about, despite there having been previous offers that had fallen through on the property. We'd also asked them mulptiple times in emails if/what was wrong with the property, but nothing was forthcoming. They were aggressive throughout, complaining about the first conveyancing firm we chose. Once we were under offer they didn't remove the property from the market, like other estate agents seem to do out of courtesy. They also called my wife at 4.30am in the early hours the day after we complained about the treatment we'd had, claiming the call was a cleaner who accidentally hit the re-dial button on their phones. Am sure they're great if you're a seller, but the experience we received as a potential buyer was terrible. Overall, we wasted a lot of time and money. Since we pulled out of the transaction (due to the number of serious problems flagged by the surveyor) Dexters has also now jacked up the asking price from £613,500 to £625,000. Anyone would have thought that all those issues (which they're aware of because we shared the survey with them) would lower the price rather than raise it.

100% DO NOT TRUST THIS LETTING AGENCY

We struggled immensely with an unscrupulous, fraudulent and absentee landlord (who resides in Dubai, literally a different continent) and had a litany of serious issues with our properly. None of these were remedied and relationships broke down with the landlord who claimed he was struggling to manage the property. We had toxic mould, plumbing and dangerous electrical issues which were only worsening. When raised with the letting agent, appealing for their help, our concerns were ignored and they sided completely with the absentee landlord. This led to us being forced to end the tenancy early and we are now facing issues with getting our deposit back and dexters have been incredibly unhelpful and combative in their nature. They have shown zero care for their tenants and only care about putting money in their own pockets. DO NOT TRUST THIS LETTING AGENCY.

Dexter's Letting Review

I have been renting my flat for a dozen years with Dexters and overall they are good at what they do, and generally get rents in on time. My flat is agent-managed so the team is generally responsive and get things done well. ParWhen things are amiss, the management of Dexters come into play and they solve problems which is great. I've most recently been working with property manager Bailey and she's been great at finding the right contractors at the right prices to get things done to a satisfactory level.I intend to continue to let my flat with Dexters.
