Avoid dealing with Mark Anderson - the sales manager (not sure how). Worst experience I have received when dealing with an estate agent. He was unable to get an above asking price offer on a property for sales accepted. He didn't update me for 3 weeks after the first offer was put forward. Then made excuses along the line. Currently I have gone above my first above asking price offer and still haven't heard back from him since over 2 weeks. At the point of giving up now so I thought I should let anyone else know when they are looking to sell their home.. you're better off going to any other agent on the highstreet.

Horrible experience. So they found a buyer for our flat in August, so far so good, however we were pressured to use Barnard Marcus approved conveyancers on the pretence that it might slow down the sale to use a cheaper provider, but really they just wanted to get a kick back. Well their conveyancer dropped the ball, they were so slack that they allowed for nothing to happen for the first 2 months and then by November the buyer pulled out due to the hike in interest rates. To add insult to injury when we asked them to hand over the keys to our new estate agent they only handed over only 1 of the set of 3 keys that I originally gave them. Not sure whether this is some sort of inter estate agent rivalry or simple incompetence but they took no responsibility for this, they denied it was their fault in spite of the fact that they could not even tell me how many keys they handed over - shout out to Harry who has all the client service skills and tact of a bail bond collector who basically told me I didn't have a leg to stand. Will never use Barnard Marcus again in this life or the next.
