Hope to never have to deal with this company again. This company work only for their own self-interest and not for their clients. Purposefully deceitful in order to bump up offers and sabotage accepted offers that they aren't happy with. Avoid.

This agency is a complete joke. The day I involved them in the sale of my house I regretted it. First the Branch Manager went off sick and that was the start of our problems. Their surveyor couldn’t even work out the size of our house correctly and underestimated the size of it by nearly a third, and was way out with the valuation. The Area Director was supposed to sort it all out, but I later found out he didn’t even know who to contact in Connells Surveyors. The final straw was they hadn’t even the decency to cancel the contract and let us get an agent who knows how to sell a house. Avoid Allen And Harris Hamilton at all costs!

Dreadful service from Allen and Harris Stratton Branch and especially Steve Hudson. This branch used to be fantastic and I bought my house from them over 3 years ago but how things have changed. Luckily I had brilliant agents selling my property (Richard James) but have the misfortune of buying one through Steve at Allen and Harris in Stratton who is totally useless.He has lied, been uncommunicative and never even supplied me with the property details that I'm buying. Without any assistance from Steve, we're finally nearing completion and I've been trying, without success to contact Steve for the past 2 days but he's refusing to answer my emails or calls. This review is solely of the Stratton branch but I would suggest you re-think your agents if you're in this catchment area

The adviser who was also the manager gave wrong information false expectations did not meet the agreed timeline for the sale of the property resulting additional cost to me as the seller . the manager /adviser did not return my calls I reported this poor service to head office and got no response . this is the second issue I have had with this company and would advise potential customer to steer clear of this. Good sale talk but no follow through Delays thrpough every part of the process

Had to give 1 star as giving none was not an option. My daughter was a long term tenant (10 years plus) but was unexpectedly served 2 months notice to leave. Reason given was to replace the kitchen. This was a fabrication as the flat was then remarketed and let with nothing changed. The Allen and Harris bath branch who were the letting agent were unhelpful in finding alternative accommodation, devious and unprofessional in their conduct of business (lies, mixed messages, not responding) and finally delayed the return of the deposit. This was an appalling way to treat a long standing tenant of impeccable credentials. Please take heed and go elsewhere as the trauma and hassle of dealing with this agent is not worth the effort.

Harry from Allen and Harris, supported myself and my partner with our mortgage process and application. This included 3 x face to face appointments. During the appointments harry was very professional, friendly and approachable. Things we didn’t quite understand, being first time buyers, were explained in great depth. Not only did harry sort out the mortgage application, but also all the important insurance covers too. May I add, 10 days after our mortgage application was submitted, we had an email back to say it was accepted! Much quicker than what we thought the process would take! ☺️ thank you! We would definitely recommend

My goodness - where to begin… Allen and Harris clevedon branch Somerset. I’ve dealt with a lot of estate agents, as I’m sure most of us have. I’ve bought houses, sold houses, and rented more times than I’d have liked. This estate agent was by far the worst I’ve dealt with- which is saying something as we all know what they are like to deal with. Lack of communication Lack of customer service Lack of knowledge Lack of understanding Lack of basic assistance Lack of professionalism to a very high standard I dealt with two agents from this branch and both were not only unhelpful but rude and failed to do even the most basic of tasks when dealing with my rental. Both myself ( the renter) and the client ( the home owner) have been stunned by the complete lack of service. I can safely say I will never use this agency again and will make sure I don’t deal with any of the branches in the future - I will actively not peruse any further business dealings with the entire company - not just the clevedon branch. Up to you if you use them- just be ware and be prepared to do a lot of the work yourself and deal with really very rude and unhelpful staff.

Thoroughly recommend Allen and Harris. Selling a house that was my grandparents and latterly my late parents was a difficult and emotional thing to do, coupled with me living a two hour drive away. The team were very kind, thoughtful. Kept me up to date and really went above and beyond, offering to get legal paperwork from their office to my solicitors for me. I would particularly mention James Lamb and Connor Sherman. I wouldn't hesitate to use Allen & Harris for buying or selling any property.

GoogleReally positive experience with Allen and Harris. As a first time buyer they were great at answering any questions, they kept in contact throughout the process with updates. They were also really accommodating with viewings as myself and my partner had limited times that we were both available to view the property. Massive thanks to Amy and Ken and all the team - excited to get settled in our new home!

Emailed to ask for a viewing of a house, was called by (apparently) the head office and told it would be booked in. We arranged our day around the viewing and got excited to view what looked like a really lovely house. I got a bad feeling the day we were meant to view it as I hadn't had any confirmation email and was told that I hadn't been booked in at all. I then asked to book it in for another evening and my details were taken this time. Again, arranged our day around the viewing, didn't receive a confirmation email. Rang again and was told that it hadn't been booked in, they didn't have my details on the database and the vendor had said they only wanted people that were ready to buy to view the house and because mine is going through the process of being put on the market, that I couldn't view it. Absolute joke. Wasted so much of our time. AND they had the balls to ask if we needed an estate agent to put our house on the market - as if I would go anywhere near them now. Will be avoiding any houses that are being sold by them now and in the future.

Nothing is to much trouble for them and they go the extra mile at all times. She has kept in regular touch even if there were not any booked viewings, given timely feedback and nothing has been too much trouble. I would definitely recommend Gemma and her team at the Wallingford Branch.

GoogleThe Allen and Harris Wallingford team have been absolutely superb to us for the past year, I cannot recommend them highly enough. Our sale unfortunately fell through on several occasions through absolutely no fault of A&H and every time the team were supportive, proactive and worked really hard to get another sale as quickly as possible. I believe they genuinely cared about getting something sorted for us - in the end they pulled out all the stops and must have worked solidly for several days to ensure that a part exchange went through, despite there being no financial incentive for them in doing so. If you want a team who will keep fighting hard and trying everything to sell your house for the best possible price, look no further. I would definitely recommend them to any family or friends looking to move.

Seen property of cash,prepared to make offer on receipt of home report failed to send report at 10am called 11.20 had not received as had solicitor and cash in place.failed to communicate.called back 4.30 and told house was sold only explanation was the person dealing with home reports had a dilemma.a bit of a vague company and not even a return call apologising for their actions.let down both seller and purchaser in this case.broadholm street property

Unreliable and untrustworthy.This company has been a source of frustration for ourselves and our landlord.We had viewings deceptively organised behind our backs while living in the property, under the guise of agents being allowed to take photos.We also confirmed our deposit return with our landlord and agent and then received no deposit or response for over two weeks.My wife was told today after getting in touch it was not there responsibility, until we provided screenshots of the same agent who lied to us previously explaining he would communicate with the landlord and get back to us then failed to do so.Completely inconsistent, incredibly stressful, unprofessional and no accountability. I would advise caution before working with or renting through this company.

We asked them if the property had any structural issues, and even though they knew it had, they told us the opposite. We found out later when the property information form came through. So they basically breached their legal duty. So I incurred costs and survey fees, which I am now trying to reclaim back from them, but they even make this difficult. Shameful estate agent, the kind that reaffirm everyone's opinion of estate agents.

GoogleWe had 3 estate agents out for valuation and we found Justin jeffery from Allen and Harris Wallingford, the best , he was very professional and very helpful and friendly. He got us much more higher price for our home than others had valued . Which we were very pleased with . Also his agent ladies were brilliant , we found them very friendly / caring and helpful . and other office staff were helpful and pleasant too . I would recommend them to others .
