Horrible company ,, complete unprofessional and rude ..Booked a viewing for a house in Ossett for 10.30 on 01/06,, no agent showed up to show us around .. ( even though we had rung a second time to confirm the booking ) .. rand Kendal’s up to see what was going on and was diverted to the Huddersfield office and they claimed they had no details for our viewing ..They then then re booked us in for a viewing on 08/06 at 10.45 ..We then received a call on 04/06 telling us they were cancelling the booking as they had had enough people that had already viewed the house and would be doing no more viewings ..No apologies for driving and hour from Manchester on the Saturday morning for nothing , no apologies for totally wasting our time ..

Liz from the Wakefield branch was absolutely great. We had many issues with solicitors during the sale, but Liz helped us stay positive and motivated during the entire process. She kept chasing relevant parties where we were unable to succeed. Would definitely recommend Richard Kendall.

FacebookLet me share my experience in dealing with Richard kendal and Catherine. We cancelled over agreement with Richard kendall and received a phone call from Catherine and i was told we can't advertise over property with any other company and if we decide to sell over property we be liable to pay Richard kendal selling fee. After reading contract it was clear enough to see she Lined and trying to bully us. After sending few emails we had no reply and been told she is not available to take my phone calls. Very very disappointed in Richard kendal and advice i was given. Do not trust this company and never again we will deal with Catherine and Richard kendall. The will under value your property to get a quick sell and charge the fees.
We are sorry you have found reason to complain regarding the service you have received from ourselves. We have held a number of conversations with you directly over the past few days and have sent you clarification on the agreement which the owner of the property you refer to, signed with Richard Kendall Estate Agent. Catherine responded to all the queries you had and in addition, you spoke with other members of staff who assisted you. Our terms are quite clear and we have previously forwarded you details of The Ombudsman Scheme together with the Company’s complaints procedure. We are sorry that you still find it necessary to complain in this manner, however we can only point out that our terms apply as per the agency agreement you signed with our ourselves.

If you want no helpAnd support from an estate agent, unless you push and push at every stage of the process, go with Richard Kendall. It was pointless having an estate agent, they never vetted people correctly, open day left solely to a single women with zero vetting or checks again who was coming, if anyone at all, sales boards put up in places that do not link to the house or are visible to passers by, not cancelling appointments despite potential buying coming the week before, meant I spent hours getting the house ready for someone who was never due to come… no empathy or support, no ability to market and identity potential buyers based on the uniqueness of the property. I would not recommend to use Richard Kendall

If I could give a zero, I would. The treatment of tenants which were new to renting I might add was atrocious. Not only were they unprofessional in the way that they spoke to us, but they also accused us on numerous occasions of lying about things that they had said. We’ve just left the property and they’re now demanding money for things that we did not damage. Utterly disgusting and Would 100% NOT recommend.

FacebookEnquired about a rental property on the first day it was listed. Told viewing wasn't possible due to Covid (not sure why when you can view houses for sale...) but would be told as soon as online viewing was available. Found out the house is now let as nobody ever contacted to let me know the tour was online. Excuse from the office was that too many people were interested to call them all. If that's the case, don't promise things you can't deliver. Further proof that we were right not to use Kendall's to sell our house too.
We are extremely sorry to hear of your disappointment that a property you were interested in had been let. We have since spoken to you personally to discuss this and explain the circumstances.

We only have a brief, but brilliant experience of Richard Kendall. Specifically, Liz Cooke, who was amazing in her dealing of a major problem with solicitors which occurred on the day of completion. She was highly competent, reassuring and supportive, going the extra mile and seeing the problem through until it was resolved - after closing hours. We were extremely grateful to her for her professionalism and understanding.
