GoogleI want to give a big shoutout to Andy for his fantastic service! Our thermostat had been out of order for the past three days, and he managed to fix it in just two minutes. Quick, efficient, and hassle-free! Excellent service from Hunters Estate & Letting Agents, Castleford. Highly recommend!

GoogleMy experience with hunters as a first time buyer was very positive. They were timely in communicating, proactive in sorting things, and very supportive & transparent about the process which was really appreciated as a buyer. I had tried to complete in another proper with a different estate agent, unfortunately that purchase fell through but it did give me an appreciation for the way Hunters do things - it was night and day compared to the other firm.

Do not use for rentals. There is a cost of living crisis of which this company is taking advantage of it with overvalued properties and fees. I paid a holding fee which equates to one weeks rent whilst going through necessary checks. I was truthful that I had a little adverse credit from over 5 years ago but I had an amazing reference from my current landlord of 10 years (of which they knew him as he uses them for some of his properties) plus a steady job. It was taking this agent over a week to get back to me about anything, never returned calls and I was growing concerned. Unbeknown to me, if you also don’t earn three times the rent of the property, you will also fail their checks as they will deem you unable to afford payments. I tried arguing that I could afford it because even after rent, I still had over £1k left and it’s a little unfair to set such judgments on people. They even agreed that they knew I could afford it but it wasn’t up to them but down to their policies etc. I couldn’t get a guarantor which prompted them to say didn’t I have a partner who could move in to bump up the financial figures or guarantor me. Therefore I ended up losing my ‘holding fee’ which is a considerate sum and if this company does this to 10 people a week, they are making a packet for nothing. What gives them The right to put people over a barrel like this?!!! It’s extortion!!! Especially with the current climate and people needing homes and struggling with increasing prices of food, gas and electric. A house is a necessity, people need to live and be safe but this agent seems to be very discriminatory and setting unrealistic benchmarks.

GoogleAs a first time buyer I cannot recommend Hunters Castleford enough. From the first call I made regarding the property I felt looked after and appreciated their knowledge. In particular I would like to thank Hollie Saunders and Lisa Horsley, both have been outstanding. They made my home buying journey feel personable and the phone calls were greatly appreciated. I would definitely use them in the future!

I would never ever used this Company again. They failed to tell my tennent I was selling up, because of mortgage increases, I even even emailed them. Heard nothing so I assumed they had told the tennent. Two months later when I thought I'd have my property back, they told me they hadn't told the tennent. Also the tennent flooded my bathroom and cost me £2000 to fix!

Worst estate agent I have ever dealt with. I was told lies from the very start of the sale of my house. Staff do not get back to you having to chase them all the time, they didn't seem to have a clue what was going on. Had I been given correct information from them at the very start I would have been able to make an informed decision regarding who I sold my house to. When I complain they did not even have the decency to contact me personally. Absolute disgusting customer service.

GoogleAmazing service provided by the Hunter's Team at Castleford! From the initial valuation by the very professional Keira, through to final completion of our sale, the whole team were exceptional. Danielle, Mehak and Lisa helped to make the whole process smooth and efficient; they kept the solicitors on their toes and liaised between all parties where needed, to help keep everything on track. Their expert advice made the house moving process headache free and Mehak even went the extra mile, to help us with the handing over of keys (what a life saver)! We highly recommend this team of lovely ladies to anyone who is thinking of moving home - you won't be disappointed!

Me and my partner travelled from out of town to have a viewing with Jesse Oteri today. Everything seemed fine until we arrived at the address and were completely ghosted by him. He wouldn't answer his phone so we rang their office who also couldn't get a hold of him. Avoid any dealings with Jesse as he's is unreliable, has poor time management and communication skills and is a complete waste of time

For the last year we have been selling our house, which has been extremely hard as there have been a lot of twists and turns not all good, But the staff at Hunters have been wonderful, they have helped us with everything from helping me write emails and chasing solicitors. Paula and mostly Michelle have gone above and beyond they have been wonderful and have made something I was dreading that little bit easier, Thank you for everything 😊

Quite possibly the worst estate agents I have had the displeasure of dealing with. Took them 3 weeks to acknowledge that I was looking to rent, then after 2 viewings they didn't even tell me the landlord had decided to not rent the flats anymore. To add insult to injury they didn't even cross sell to show me other properties they have. I would like to say I am shocked but I am not. I will never use them ever... EVER!

AVOID AVOID AVOID I rented with Hunters for 6 years and had a terrible experience, on the face of it they leave you to your own devices which granted is welcomed when there are no issues however if one should arise they're nowhere to be seen, I've had leaks and holes in my ceiling including a bust pipe and a seeping waste pipe (only 5 months after we found out it was unsafe to live there), they took months to come back and contact, each time it was sarcastic with statements such as 'well were not sat on our Larry's' - that was from a 'Director'- all while myself and small children suffered. The landlord had to continually be contacted directly for him to resolve issues (not like we were the type which complained but a hole in the roof will do that to you). the Inspections lasted 45 seconds and continually either didn't show or rescheduled as they were overrun and 'cannot run into their lunch' - just dont overrun would be the answer. Very surprised Jack Berson or Jonny Malkinson do not have more of a feel to how their business is ran on a daily basis, should likely remember the landlord is not their only client!!!!

There was not one single question he could not answer and for more detailed information we asked for he had this within the hour of the showing being conducted. A true credit to the company, this person will go far.
