GoogleRecently tried to purchase a property advertised by Hodsons. We did everything we could to put ourselves in the best position possible but we're constantly shut down by staff on the phone. Found them extremely rude and abrasive. My wife thought it was me being difficult so she rang them and tried to speak to them and was met with the same attitude. My wife is very chatty and she was shut down and dismissed within the first 30 seconds. We were not allowed to put our position across at all, which lost us the house. We could have even increased our offer but weren't allowed to negotiate. Not good for the vendor really, who could have got more money, but they obviously wanted the property to go to someone else for some reason. They made it quite clear they didn't want to entertain us at all. John who showed us round the property was fantastic, very professional and informative. Couldn't fault him at all.

GoogleEntirely happy with the service offered by Hodsons. Very professional throughout, since our first meeting with James, on a day to day basis with Louise and right through to completion. We were fortunate in that our property sold within 2 weeks, but Hodsons kept themselves involved thereafter, updating us on the status of the chain and offering advice on surveys etc. All in all we recieved top level service and Hodsons would be highly recommended.

GoogleCan’t recommend highly enough We appointed Hodson’s to sell my father’s shared ownership retirement flat after he died. It was a long process. Following delays caused by our solicitors, two buyers pulled out before we finally sold the property last week. Louise Higginbottom was efficient, attentive and professional throughout. Just when we thought her service could be no better, she would surprise us again. I don’t believe we could have found a better agent anywhere. I recommend Hodson’s without reservation. We paid them a percentage of the relatively low sale price. We got the service we might have expected for a property worth 10 times as much.

Every member of staff have been a pleasure to deal with, professional of course but also friendly, helpful and empathetic. James and the team offered expert and balanced advice from the initial valuation all the way through to completion. Communication was excellent and I felt I could contact them any time if I had a question or concern. Hodsons worked in our best interests and provided a personalised service which made it easier to deal with any bumps in the road that came along. Would absolutely use them again if needed and couldn’t recommend them enough.

Both James and Louise went the extra mile answering questions and providing information. The service went far beyond the service provided by other agents. All the staff that we had contact with were professional and more than helpful, a thankyou to the gentleman that showed us around, he was extremely patient and did not hurry us, a different agent told us we had 10 minutes to view a property. we had half an hour with this chap, sorry I did not get his name . We would highly recommend Hodsons and if the need arises we will definitely be using their services.

James used data and insight to inform sales approach and price.We were on the market c. 3 months and generated a number of interested buyers and secured a sale for near asking price. Hodsons supported us through the completion of the sale providing advice and support on a daily basis. Their attention to detail and personal 121 service is the best in the market. GoogleFrom the very start of deciding to put our house up for sale our experience with Hodsons was very good . James came to our house and was really lovely , explained everything to us step by step & we made our mind up straigh away. Within a couple of days our house was on the market it was like a whirlwind, pictures & up it went . Viewings booked straight away & sold the very first day . Throughout the whole experience we can honestly say what a great job Hodsons did .......all the staff we spoke to were very helpful thankyou to all of you .

GoogleI bought a house through this estate agency, and I can honestly tell you it’s the worst experience I’ve ever had with any estate agent. This almost put me off buying a house through them, the rudeness in emails, the discrimination with me being a first time buyer and almost mocking that I didn’t know the process and rather than tell me the process stated that I needed to contact my solicitor. My ex arranged the viewing for me as I work a lot, I never gave them the consent to list him as a primary contact but he was told by them that my property completed before I was told!! Even though I emailed them the night before asking them to let me know. Going in to collect the keys was an awful experience, no hello, no congratulations- like me being there was an inconvenience- more rudeness again - my mental health has been affected by this a lot- Would not recommend at all. The 2 men who helped me view the property were lovely. That’s the only positive experience with this estate agency.

GoogleExcellent service from start to finish. James is very professional and his calm and knowledgeable nature made you feel you are in good hands. Louise looked after us once our house was on the market and was efficient, caring and very quick to respond to us. We had a longer than expected process due to slow Solicitors but Hodgsons kept pushing things along until Completion. We would highly recommend them to everyone.

Louise kept us informed throughout with regards viewings, feedback as well as liaising with solicitors and providing support throughout. John helped us with the client viewings.
