Grace Betts is a a super property manager. She's calm, proactive, and very competent. She also picks up the phone! And she gets things fixed the very same day: which is completely exceptional, in our experience. We had several snarl-ups with our buy to let and Grace has sorted them all out. It's great to feel our property is being managed by such very safe hands.

The frustrating experience of dealing with a tenant who hadn’t paid rent for 4 months and an accounting team who hadn’t chased the debt, contacted the guarantor or provided an account statement during the period. I was most frustrated when calling the area office. However, Rebecca answered my call and listened to my issues, heard my frustration and took the time to agree a course of action. Not only did she accurately outline the situation, advise what steps she would take to gather the information and committed to contacting me with updates. To be called back with an update was most refreshing and unusual having previously left more than 5 messages for a manager and not receiving a call back.

GoogleSadly we were discouraged by many around not to use Chancellors as an agent when searching for a property - for reasons best known to them. To our greatest surprise of all the agents they have proved to be the best! They have been very prompt, easy to talk to and follow up really well. We have dealt with Caitlin and India and they have been very friendly and professional. I am glad we didn't listen to people!

Despite a very complicated situation on the seller's side, Jamie guided us through the entire process with utmost professionalism. GoogleI would like to share my review following persistent solicitations for payment over the past week. An email, indicating a reduction in rent agreed upon with my landlord, was transmitted to the agency, and subsequently, a confirmation was sent to my email. However, unexpectedly, a month later, Abingdon Chancellors commenced sending emails and making phone calls, asserting that my rent had not been paid in full and that I owed them money. Despite my attempts to address the issue by forwarding the email containing the rent reduction, the problem persisted. Various individuals from the agency continued to contact me for several days, insisting that my rent was overdue, despite my explanations. The situation at this branch is chaotic, with a lack of knowledge evident among the staff. Eventually, after another phone call, I was redirected to the head office, where the issue was resolved, albeit without any apologies until I explicitly mentioned my intention to file an official complaint. It is unfair to subject individuals to persistent demands for payment when they are not in breach of their obligations. ps. Additionally, I would like to highlight that a significant portion of the reviews on Google is submitted by new customers who were pressured by the branch to provide a 5-star rating. This practice raises concerns about the authenticity and reliability of the reviews, as it may not accurately reflect the overall satisfaction of the clientele.
