I had the most positive experience dealing with Allan and Harris estate agents. Your marketing, viewing and general advice was much appreciated. Always professional, approachable and provided a first class service. It made the house sale process very easy and stress free. A big THANK YOU for all your help and support - Nick you were amazing always there to answer my questions and give independent advice when it was needed. I felt your attention to detail was fantastic. Conner and Rhianna were always friendly at the end of the phone when I needed to ask questions along the way. I only met Conner in person when I handed the keys in prior to the exchange. But was taken aback when he remembered a small detail about the house - that showed he cared and had a good attention for detail. It was a long process from our first meeting and completion; due to a delay in Probate being granted - but I can honestly say I felt you guys were always there to support me and keep me up to date with relevant developments. I defiantly chose the right team to sale my house and would recommend you in future.

I had the pleasure of selling my property through the Allen & Harris Abingdon office. My initial meeting was with Nick, the branch manager, who almost instantly came across as the right man for the job, with his vast knowledge of the market and down-to-earth professionalism. Once I signed on the line, I was greeted by Connor, the sales expert, who was extremely charismatic and complemented the whole sales process perfectly. I also had the pleasure of dealing with Courtney from the office, who expertly put together the sales material and photos for me. Thanks as well to the on-site mortgage expert, Ajud, who swiftly secured my buyer’s mortgage at the best possible rate. Finally, a big thank you to Rhianna from the office, who kept in touch and updated me at every stage of the process. These guys deliver on what they promise, 100% the best estate agents I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with.

A superb service from the Roath branch…

A superb service from the Roath branch from start to finish. Vicki Crean visited us for the first time in February to discuss listing our home with her branch. She was clearly extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and had a level of tenacity which we felt would be important in such a competitive field. And we weren’t wrong! Vicki and the expert team at the Roath branch delivered exactly what she set out to do on that initial February visit. Even before our listing was visible and before it was live on Rightmove, we had viewings booked in. Nothing like hitting the ground running! We were initially looking at the open day route to maximise interest, but the team generated so many viewings that an open day wasn’t required. We received two solid offers inside a week of going live, with one accepted. What the Roath branch achieved for us was nothing less than perfect. We really couldn’t fault anything. The team made selling our home of 17yrs hassle free and easy. We didn’t meet all the Roath team, but in addition to Vicki, we personally met Harrison and James too, both of whom were lovely. Vicki and the team are a credit to Allen & Harris and we hope the company knows that. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Roath branch and would say you’re in good hands if you also choose to tap into their expertise. Thank you again, Vicki, you were fantastic!

It was a genuine pleasure to work with Allen & Harris to market our house. Even though we decided to withdraw the property from the market, we were completely satisfied with the care and professionalism they provided. Nick and Connor were incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the process. I look forward to using their services again in the future and wholeheartedly recommend their branch.

A great experience with Allen and Harris! We just bought a house through them. Connor and Nick were really helpful, easy to talk to, really friendly and proactive. It was easy to get hold of them, to ask questions and arrange viewings, and they kept us up to date. Would definitely recommend.

We viewed a house, but the estate agent only had some of the keys, so we could not go into some areas of the property. Then, we called for a second viewing and specifically asked for the estate agent to have all the keys so that we could see the whole property. Plus, we said that it is a 2.5-hour round trip for us to get to the property. The estate agent turned up to meet us at the property without the keys, so again we could not see all of the property. Lots of poor excuses and a poor attitude. A house is obviously the biggest purchase of anyone's life, and not to see key areas of the property meant that we chose not to make an offer. Had we seen all of the property, we would have probably offered the asking price. These are the areas we could not view. Attached. I can understand why A&H only have 2.4/5 on TripAdvisor, too. *** Updated 07-09-26 Based on the Reply Below *** No, I am not doing any more/not emailing because you have let me down enough, and my confidence in A&H is so low that I am sure you'll just take up more of my time for nothing. Talk with Connor.

I went to Allan&Harris on Albany Road

I went to Allan&Harris on Albany Road, during my visit, Liam Tresilian made some racial comments to me that he clearly thought were humorous. He was laughing while delivering his inappropriate remarks, seemingly oblivious to the discomfort he caused. Instead of fostering a welcoming atmosphere, his comments only served to highlight the insensitivity that can sometimes be present in social interactions. This experience left me feeling deeply ashamed and very uncomfortable, as I couldn't help but question why such remarks were deemed acceptable in any context. It was disheartening to encounter such ignorance, especially in a setting where I expected to feel safe and respected. I believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and kindness, and it was disappointing to witness such a lack of awareness regarding the impact of words.

Absolute clown show.

Absolute clown show. First of all, they told me to make the landlord 'an offer'. I made the offer and it was accepted. Went back and forth for a while asking for the paperwork so we could sign it off due to the move-in date being imminent. They kept fobbing me off and I got the impression they were buying time for some reason. It turned out I was right - the day before the move-in date, I got a call from them saying they had another party interested and they asked me to 'make a bid' to the landlord. I had already made an offer and it had been accepted, yet they wanted to start a bidding war less than 24 hours before I was meant to be moving in? This felt totally dishonest and exploitative - someone in a worse position would have been forced to choose between overpaying or being made homeless. Keron Boultif was repeatedly dishonest and evasive and had he even met the most basic expectations this all could have been avoided. I think Keron is a great example of why letting agents offer no value to society and need stricter regulating.

We honestly cannot thank Allen & Harris enough for the incredible support we received during the purchase of our first home. From start to finish, the entire experience was seamless and smooth something we never expected, especially as first-time buyers feeling quite overwhelmed and stressed at times. Connor, our estate agent, and Nick, the Sales Manager, provided truly exceptional service. They were professional, approachable, and always one step ahead, keeping everything moving while reassuring us throughout the process. They completely took the stress out of what could have been a very daunting experience, and we always felt we were in safe hands. A huge thank you as well to Ajud, our amazing mortgage advisor. He was absolutely unbelievable in getting our mortgage sorted quickly and efficiently. He explained everything clearly, kept us updated, and once again removed so much of the stress from the process. We are so grateful we chose him! The rest of the team were just as fantastic always responsive, friendly, and ready to help whenever we called or emailed with questions (and there were quite a few!). Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. We would highly recommend Allen & Harris to anyone buying or selling a property. Truly amazing, amazing, amazing service from start to finish thank you all for helping us secure our first home!

Nightmare experience. Don’t use their Pontcanna branch

I strongly recommend that you don’t use Allan and Harris’s Pontcanna branch. Parents house was sold through them. They failed to set buyer expectations which caused us a lot of issues, they gave bad advice to things they should have been knowledgeable about and we later we found out that they lied about the buyers circumstances. 1) The buyers kept trying to go around A&H and made attempts to contact us directly. Upon telling A&H, they didn’t really care much about it or do anything about it as the buyers kept constantly trying to contact us directly to arrange everything even after we told them they need to go through A&H. 2) The buyers had very unreasonable expectations and A&H did nothing to keep them in check. They failed to get them to understand that they were part of a chain and them wanting the sale completed by a set date had to work for the whole chain or the sale would fall through. To be blunt, I don’t think they even tried. 3) We later found out that they were lying about the buyers circumstances. How do I know they were lying? Well because it was all things they would legally have had to know to complete the sale. Such as they claimed repeatedly that the buyers needed a mortgage and that the sale was held up by them not having signed their mortgage offer, but on the day of the move when we met the buyers in person they directly said they didn’t buy the property on a mortgage and never needed one. They also claimed the sellers owned a flat that was less than 2 minutes away from the property we were selling to them, but turns out that after meeting them that I already knew their land lord who confirmed to me that they were actually renting a house in Leckwith and he was aggressively pushing them out because he wanted out of the renting business. I don’t know why they would lie about this. They should have known all of these details and I’m pretty sure they have a legal responsibility to ensure they had the correct information. I can only assume they were saying these to try and get us to do something for them or the buyers like drop the price or look for another place to buy (irony being that we didn’t care who we sold the place to as long as they could pay). 4) The chain also almost fell apart because the buyers were the weakest ones on the chain. There was massive delays because they couldn’t get their finances (assumed mortgage or otherwise) together. A&H didn’t really care much about this. They didn’t do much to chase the buyer about setting a date or try and find out what was going on with finances. That was annoyingly left to us to do…. 5) On the day of the sale, the buyers turned up less than 30 minutes after the exchange time to try and kick my parents out. The contract specified that they were supposed to give us 6 hours to move out before they turned up. What the buyers did was illegal, because it was written down in the contract and they breached it. A&H were completely uninterested and basically told my parents that they had to get out there and then (something they should have known was wrong as they had a copy of the contract). The buyers did this because it turns out that they were going on holiday and wanted to leave early. Long story short a lot of my parents possessions got damaged or broken and we’re now considering legal action that A&H may get caught up in because they couldn’t do their job of setting seller expectations and knowing basic contract law (you’re and estate agent you should know all of this!). Houses have been selling themselves for the past 20+ years, unfortunately this has given us incompetent estate agents like A&H. I strongly recommend that you use anyone else and if you find a good estate agent be sure to recommend them to all your family and friends so they don’t end up with a rubbish one like Allan and Harris.

Lied from day 1

Rented us a property (which was extremely overpriced but had no choice as was about to become homeless) and said that the landlord was “the best landlord they’ve ever dealt with” Once moved in, the oven didn’t work, the entry phone didn’t work, the tv Ariel’s didn’t work, we had no key for our letter box so couldn’t get into it, the place stunk and was filthy. A cleaner was arranged (by the landlord) but I ended up driving the cleaner home and she couldn’t finish it all because she couldn’t reach and was about 80!! We were informed that a sky employee would be visiting the property to remove the previous tenants sky dish, but this would not affect us as he would just be outside taking it down. Then a random man showed up at our door trying to barge his way in, saying he worked for sky, as he wanted to check there was no evidence inside the property that the sky dish belonged to this address. Turns out, this was the landlord’s friend and he was trying to avoid paying the cost of having a dish removed, by saying it was the upstairs tenants dish. Alan and Harris kept avoiding us when we mentioned the oven, it took five months to get it sorted by which point we had had enough. It was only when one of their employees was on maternity leave that I saw her and she admitted that that particular landlord was the worst client they’d ever had and avoided everything completely. Yet they had told me he was the best to get Me to rent the property. Because of all of this stress, we gave up the property. I am now homeless, even though it’s been over a year, because every penny I had went into renting that property and trying to fix things ourselves. The fact Alan and Harris lied about this landlord is disgusting. Renting a property that has multiple features broken, that is dirty, and wanting an insane amount of money for it, whilst having a landlord who doesn’t care or do anything to help any situation, should be looked into. If I hadn’t have bumped into the staff member who admitted that he was awful, and that they were well aware how bad he was before I even viewed the property, then I wouldn’t have been so disgusted. I wasn’t going to write this review, but I finally had enough. Liars, deceitful people who will do anything to rent properties out and make themselves look good. Even if it means ruining someone’s life.. Avoid like the plague.

The worst letting agent ever

The worst letting agent ever. They cannot manage your property and are very rude and provide the worst customer service ever. Being with this letting agent has been a nightmare, instead of helping landlords the so called letting manager Tiffany was very rude and explains she’s not a mind reader. She would never answer calls, disregard emails and also accidentally replies to a chain of emails to her colleague but includes us to say how we are ridiculous. Tiffany is so unprofessional and the service provided was appalling. We will never be using this letting agent and recommend not to use unless you want your house to be destroyed and not to have any support from the lettings agent you put your trust in to manage and maintain your property and to have the most appalling service. Stay clear and actually get your moneys worth with another agent.

After being with a different estate agent for 8 months, and many failed transactions, we finally made the decision to move to another agent and Allen and Harris (Abingdon) came highly recommended to us. Imogen was amazing, she checked in with us even if she had nothing to update us on. They really pulled out all the stops to find us a buyer, and the whole process only took 4 months, from listing the property, to completing on the sale. We couldn't thank them, or recommend them enough. They did everything they could to push this over the line for us so we want to say a big thank you to the lovely team in the Abingdon Office.

Read the Contract!

I employed this company to sell a house. After 6 months and no sensible offers, I terminated their contract. A few months later, I sold the house through another agent, who were brilliant. However it turned out that the eventual buyers had seen the house originally several months before through Allen and Harris. The next thing I knew was their high powered solicitors demanding full payment of their selling fees, which according to their contract I have to pay indefinitely after they have sown anyone the house. This is criminal and they should be ashamed of themselves putting a clause like that in a legal contract. So beware, read all the small print. Don't use Allen and Harris as they are absolutely useless.

Really poor experience with Allan &…

Really poor experience with Allan & Harris Roath. I had a house valuation booked, and because I’m away on business, a family member took half a day off work to attend. Just a few hours before the appointment, they cancelled by email with no phone call, no proper explanation, and no attempt to rearrange. Cancelling last minute is bad enough, but not even having the decency to call or acknowledge the inconvenience caused is unacceptable. It shows a complete lack of professionalism and zero respect for people’s time.

Allen and Harris

Allen and Harris, WhitchurchJust put my parents house on the market with Allen and Harris and not impressed with communication at all. An Open House was arranged but on the day of the Open house no communication with either myself or my brother)who lives in the house) so I was a bit concerned. I rang the office and was told one of their colleagues should have got in touch with me to say it had been pushed back two weeks. I had not received a phone call or message of any kind. I was then told it was rearranged for two weeks later, again no communication and nothing materialised.Early days but already thinking of finding someone else to sell the house.
