I have had a wonderful experience with the team, especially Jessica and Beth. Jessica has been incredibly friendly, professional and helpful throughout our house purchase. She has always been approachable, kept us informed, and taken the time to answer our questions. Beth has also been excellent. She has been proactive in chasing the progress of our purchase, following up with the solicitors and keeping things moving whenever there were delays. Her dedication and regular updates have been greatly appreciated. It’s a pity you can one give 5 stars. I would give 20 We had to deal with sale of property for an elderly gentleman who unfortunately had to go into a care home All the staff were absolutely brilliant all way through from beginning to end especially Beth who was amazing. She kept us fully informed at each stage of the sale. Any problems that arose ( and there were several) were dealt with total professionalism. I would certainly recommend Balmer & Co to anyone selling or buying a property We really can’t thank them enough for all of the staff have done.

Avoid !! Won't give the deposits back to the tenants ...!!! Even with me given notice to leave and changing ...so we are taking action ....The owner Adam is not even allowed to do business ... he will change names and bank accounts (so that's speaks for itself).... Adam will speak to you in an unprofessional manner and teaches his staff to do the same ... they have no clue about the business or laws and will lie for him... they are just as clueless as him..... but his staff don't stay with him ... so you'll notice this He also threatens you when he doesn't get his way... especially if you're a woman... if you see the article that's going around on Facebook that speaks volumes

This review is primarily about Beth and our interactions with her, however, it should also be said that when putting the property up for sale, Lauren and the rest of the wider team were absolutely fantastic, nothing ever too much trouble and always went the extra mile. Beth, I actually can't find words to describe how fantastic she has been, without Beth and her knowledge, I do not think we would be where we are (ready for completion) for a long time to come. From first enquiry of a viewing, to completion 10 weeks later, it's been a pleasure and a big reassurance to deal with Beth. Beth is very assertive and a strong communicator. As well as being supportive to my circumstances, she was also very reassuring that everything was in hand. My purchase was a no chain (I wasn't selling) and no chain (seller had vacated). I had a very disappointing experience with Balmer & Co and would not recommend them based on my experience as a tenant. While I was living at the property, part of the kitchen ceiling collapsed. Despite the seriousness of the issue, I was left living with the damaged ceiling for around three months before it was finally repaired. During that time, I repeatedly tried to get the issue resolved, but my communications were often ignored and the overall level of service was extremely poor. The problems continued at the end of my tenancy. Balmer & Co claimed that there were marks and scratches on the walls and sought deductions from my deposit. However, I had video evidence showing that those marks were already there before my tenancy. The most concerning part of my experience happened when I went to their Atherton office to ask for an explanation about the DPS deposit request. I handed my phone to Rachel so she could look at the DPS request and explain to me what was happening. Instead of simply explaining it to me, she pressed the “Accept” option on my phone. I had not handed her my phone to accept the request on my behalf. I gave it to her so she could look at it and explain the situation to me. Once the request had been accepted, I was no longer able to dispute the deductions through the normal DPS process. I later contacted DPS about what had happened, but by that point the request had already been accepted. Overall, my experience was extremely poor: around three months living with a damaged kitchen ceiling, repeated lack of communication, disputed claims about the condition of the property despite me having video evidence, and finally the way the DPS request was accepted on my phone when I had only asked for an explanation. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise tenants to keep photographs and videos of the property from the beginning of the tenancy, keep all communication in writing, and never hand over control of their DPS account or phone when discussing a deposit dispute

I want to say a massive thank you to Balmer & Co new management team (Adam) and especially Holly Spencer. We have been privately renting one of their properties since November 2011 and it only since last year October 2023 that necessary work meant to be done before moving in the house became a reality. Downstairs toilet was left in inhuman conditions for 14 years and was never used came to find out it was never reported although previous house manager knew about it. Mold, falling ceiling , 80's bathroom,worn out and stained carpets, she will have maintenance guy coming in blaming us or saying they carried the work which they did not and she will believe them .The list is so long and we are so angry that she lied to our family over all those years and scared us with comment such as ;the landlord will be evicting us should we keep bringing issues . Anyway Thank you new Team and look forward to sorting out what's left to do . Many Thanks

Lauren helped us with the sale of a late family members estate and was brilliant from start to finish. Unfortunately, the solicitors we used weren’t the best and had to be chased for updates on numerous occasions but Lauren was brilliant at dealing with them. She chased them and gave us constant updates on where things were up to. This wasn’t Lauren’s job to chase the solicitor to the extent she did, however, we were so appreciative to her for this otherwise we’d have been in the dark all the way through. We really feel she went above and beyond. She understood it was a very emotional time for us and very distressing and dealt with everything really sensitively. We can’t say anything negative at all about our experience and will absolutely use Lauren again
