Best estate agents experience ever!

Jackson-Stops have recently sold our house for us and we downsized to a bungalow, also through them. They were so helpful every step of the way. We dealt with Rebecca, Chris and in the later stages Pip who helped us by chasing solicitors and ensuring the process worked as it should, after our solicitors closed their local office and enabling us to sign and have our contracts witnessed in their Reigate office. A fantastic team of people, highly recommended!

We sold our house through the Jackson-Stops, Bury St Edmunds office. We knew the staff there from the original purchase of the property and were so pleased with that experience that we chose them for the recent sale. The team in Bury St Edmunds were effective from day one. The marketing material was well thought out and very professional. The task of showing potential purchasers around the house, answering their questions and working with us to keep them well informed worked very well. As exchange and, ultimately, completion days came and went, the team shifted up a gear and it all happened in a blink of an eye. Working with Jackson-Stops was a pleasure, a 5-star experience. We had a fabulous experience with Jackson-Stops. From the very first phone call with Charley in the office, it felt as though our property search was a real priority to the team. Charley took time to understand what we were hoping to find in a new home and to talk us through various options that fitted our search. When it came to viewings, Charley and Mark were extremely flexible in arranging appointments, one at very short notice to fit with our timescales. Charley contacted us personally when she felt a new property listing would match our search and stayed in touch following viewings. Mark and Charley were professional and helpful at all times, but with a warmth and understanding that finding the right home is a really big decision. I would highly recommend Jackson-stops to any buyer on their property search and indeed seller. Poor service

Asked to view a property on Bures Road and was told I had to provide proof of funds before even being allowed a viewing. I understand proof of funds is needed at offer stage but demanding it just to view a house is unnecessary and comes across as rude and intrusive; the tone felt more like an interrogation. And for clarity, questioning an asking price is not the same as being unable to afford a property. In a previous transaction, we declined to overpay for a house we did not believe was worth its asking price, and it later sold for significantly less. That is a valuation judgement (a mistake by the same agent), not a funding issue.

When it came time to sell our property in a difficult climate, my husband and I interviewed almost half a dozen estate agents - the best we could find. Ben Standen at Jackson Stops Truro was by far the best of the bunch. He is extremely keen to make sure you get the best price for your property, and where he excels is in negotiation. He’s backed by a fantastic team in the office, all of whom conduct themselves with a high standard of professionalism. Zara acted as ‘second in command’ whenever Ben was unavailable, and we found her extremely capable. But when we needed him, Ben was there, even if it was very inconvenient for him (on holiday in Hong Kong!) - we were always able to reach him for a call when we needed to. If you want someone to stand by you as you sell your house, we don’t think you can do better than Ben and his team.

Jackson-Stops, Cranbrook Branch recently sold my house. They were brilliant, helpful and great with communication which is rare these days. Rachel with whom I dealt with was lovely, so friendly and so patient with all the endless calls I made. They say selling your home is one of the most stressful things you can go through. Its no easy ride but I can only say that Jackson-Stops made it as easy and calm as it could be. I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you live in Kent and you want to sell your house, they are your go to agent. Brilliant. Decent Letting Agent.

Everything went well and communication was good. They were also helpful when we wanted a second viewing. The downside was our landlord was hounded during the referencing process, even when we were promised they would not be contacted if we allowed the open banking. This resulted in our landlord discovering we’re leaving before we had a chance to tell them. Aside from that, it was a pleasant experience. We dealt with Eloisa in the Weybridge office and Loren for any letting problems - both are engaging and are fast to respond.

I recently had a challenging experience with Jackson Stops Agency regarding necessary repairs to my flat that required me to vacate temporarily. Initially, my attempt to address the issue was frustrating. When I called the agency, I was met with an unhelpful and hurried response from a staff member who informed me that the rental team was in a meeting. She didn't allow me to explain my situation and instead provided me with the email address of someone who was on annual leave, which added to my anxiety and frustration.However, my experience took a turn for the better when I spoke with Jess Lynagh.
