Extremely Disappointing Service

My experience with Winkworth Fulham has been deeply disappointing. Shortly after moving into a property in mid-October, I discovered that construction noise from the ground floor was unbearable, making it impossible to study or rest. This construction, as confirmed by workers, had started months earlier, yet this critical information was never disclosed to us before signing the tenancy agreement.When I raised this issue, Winkworth not only denied knowledge of the construction but also showed no intention of helping resolve the matter. At a meeting I attended, I was faced with three representatives who seemed solely focused on defending the company’s interests rather than addressing my concerns. The lack of empathy, understanding, and professionalism in handling this situation has been shocking.I cannot recommend Winkworth based on this experience. Transparency and support for tenants are basic expectations, and unfortunately, Winkworth failed on both counts.

Winkworth Kensal Rise

I have been a client of Winkworth for many years. I am a landlord. Throughout the time I have been with them. I had no problems renting out my property and the standard of the tenants was always excellent, due to them being thoroughly checked and sourced.The Letting Department is staffed with super professional guys who will always be at the end of the phone for help and advice.A particular shout out to Aaron Priscott, now Letting Director. and Frazer Cook. Buy a house from Thomas Syms

I was a first time buyer and a little apprehensive about buying a property. My agent, Thomas Syms, really understood what I was looking for very quickly and was able to suggest some suitable properties. He was also able to suggest some really good properties that were not what I thought I would like but were actually a very pleasant surprise! He has been encouraging and supportive throughout the long process and I was able to complete yesterday. Thomas is approachable and calm and definitely knows his field.

Thomas has been a superstar throughout the first-time buying process!

Thomas has been a great help throughout the process of myself and my partner buying our first home. He's been with us from the very beginning of the purchase process (initial viewing) all the way through to exchange and completion. As first time buyers we didn't really know what to expect from the process, but Thomas has always been on hand to help us (helping with arranging last minute viewings with the seller and guiding us through the entire process). A great team

I engaged the Leigh on Sea branch to sell my late Mum’s flat, the market at the time was depressed, thanks to Liz and Kwazi, so I decided to rent it out for six months, the letting side were excellent, thanks Lucie, if anything needed doing to the flat they told me what was needed and saw that it was carried out swiftly.The eventual sale was tortuous, thanks in no small part to the freeholders solicitor and the directors operating in a parallel universe, but Winkworth settled the buyers nerves and the deal was done. Aaron is totally different from other…

Aaron is totally different from other letting agents. He goes above and beyond to be helpful and works incredibly hard at building relationships with landlord and tenant. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and his team. It is very rare to find someone who goes above and beyond but Aaron does. I'd also like to praise Stanislava for her excellent administration of the process. As a landlord I will definitely be using them again. I’ve used Winkworths for many years with no complaints. They found nearly 30 people to go and view my rental property which had been recently renovated and found new tenants very quickly. All along the way, they sorted out the paperwork, inventory inspection, references etc. Aaron, my contact at Winkworths, did his best to make sure not only I was happy but also the tenants. Efficient, professional and always kept me updated how things were going. As a landlord, I would highly recommend Winkworths.

We rented a property via Winkworth…

We rented a property via Winkworth (Kensal Rise) for a period of almost three years. Fraser and Aaron assisted us with the search for the flat and Michael was our point of contact for all things maintenance and beyond. The process of finding the property at the outset was seamless - Winkworth were excellent. Throughout the three year period, the flat was not without its usual issues (boiler etc). Michael was a dependable contact and took responsibility for gaining the relevant consents/approvals from the landlord/lady and subsequently ensured service providers completed the work to schedule and with minimal disturbance. He really did make the renting process so much easier.Finally, when we wanted to depart from the flat, Aaron ensured that our interests were considered and was the point of contact between us and the landlord/lady. Through great management, we were able to come to a mutually beneficial arrangement. Again, Michael also kept us well informed of and was transparent about the departure process. If you are looking for a professional, personable and reliable agent, choose Winkworth (Kensal Rise).

Amazing estate agents

Our home purchase had quite a few blips along the way and both Nicola and Alex were so patient and reassuring throughout. Nicola never stopped pushing the lawyers on our behalf and I honestly don’t think it would have happened without them. I’m not usually the best fan of estate agents but Winkworth seem to be an honest and genuine firm. Nicola and Alex are just simply fantastic. I don’t plan on moving again for quite some time I but if I do I will definitely use them again. Highly highly recommend.

I've just purchased my first flat with Thomas Syms from Winkworth as the estate agent.When first viewing the property I found Thomas to be very knowledgeable, he could answer all of my questions about the flat and about the wider process. He also made it very easy to schedule two viewings around my busy work schedule.Later in the process Thomas was responsive and helpful. The worst estate agents I've ever rented from

EDIT: Winkworth have asked me to say the branch this took place at, but at one point the managing director used some aggressive tactics to shut us up, and to be honest I want to remain anonymous to Winkworth as they still have my contact details.--I had a terrible experience with Winkworth when I was renting with them. No matter who it was you were speaking to, you were treated like dirt and felt like the lowest priority. Here are some of the things that happened...I moved in whilst the flat was on a rolling tenancy, so when a new flatmate moved in, the inventory wasn't updated and the flat was never checked for cleanliness when a tenant left. I don't know how standard practice this was, but when we all decided to terminate the tenancy, whoever was carrying out the checkout inspection was looking at photos of a completely different flat - different furniture, different carpets. We successfully appealed when they tried to take some of our deposit.One day, I had a knock on the door and it was some painter decorators who had been booked to decorate all our bedrooms. We didn't receive any notice of this, and had to live in our flat with the paint fumes for the next two days.I lived with two other flatmates, and one of them became very violent and aggressive to us. We suddenly felt very unsafe. The police weren't able to do anything, so we went to Winkworth asking for help, and they just said we'd have to sort it out between the three of us. I'm not sure what the practice is around this, but to just brush us off without even being empathetic to our situation was very upsetting. I asked them if they would only step in once we were in bodybags...!There were many other things that happened during my time with them. I wanted to write about some of my experiences over the years I rented with them to make people aware that they really live up to the typical estate agent stereotypes.

From start to end of tenancy Winkworth's in Kensal Rise were a pleasure to deal with. Tenants were found quickly and easily, any issues during the rental period were dealt with immediately by the Michael who manages the properties and communication between all parties was great. Absolutely no complaints with their service at all. Having had a bad experience when working with another local estate it was great to move to this team who were very responsive, dealt with issues straight away and made sure tenant and landlord were all kept happy! thank you

Highly recommend

Most of the time renting can be a nightmare. They never solving problems.... 0 respect to tenats they are just nice liars it's 7mothns raining into the room, they check it and said it's only raining inside when the rain is stronger, so I'm still using bowls for water for 7 months. Boiler is broken now they made a appointment and didn't come over. When My girlfriend called them they said you have been contacted and informed that we come on evening... Nobody called us. Now they made appointment after week, so you can live without heating.. olso they just coming to check not to fix it....

Complete waste of time

Complete waste of time. Was trying to rent a flat through Winkworth and was hounded by the agent for an offer. Put the offer in and turned down other flats. Over a week later was told to go look elsewhere. Highly unprofessional and wouldn't use it recommend them for renters.
