Moved into an apartment advertised as unfurnished, only to find furniture from the previous tenants still there, along with the landlord’s bed (which we are now storing for him in our hallway). Three weeks into moving in, the items are still in the property. Urban Spaces have essentially said they can’t do anything because the landlord manages the property himself, while the landlord has been away and we are yet to make any progress. Disappointing experience. Regardless of who manages the property day-to-day, we rented through Urban Spaces and expected them to help resolve an issue where the property we moved into wasn’t provided as advertised. EDIT Urban Spaces asked us to remove this review as it is an ‘unfair reflection’. They have reiterated how they were not able to do anything as they do not manage the property. Thomas is yet to apologise or take ownership for not informing us of the remaining furniture that is to remain in the apartment (even though we rented it completely unfurnished). He has defended his position of blamelessness throughout this situation and is blaming the landlord. The landlord is blaming urban spaces for not informing us. Apparently no one is adult or mature enough to simply say “we apologise, we will look into improving our processes so this does not happen again, we the agent, will check the property is fit to rent, before handing it over to a tenant, regardless of if we manage it or not.”

The heating failed in the property I…

The heating failed in the property I just moved into. The flat is uninhabitable. I can not get any response from the company about fixing it (>72 hours). There is no way to get in contact with the company. Do not rent from these people. Update: it is four weeks later and they still haven't fixed the heating and it's not clear if or when it will be fixed. The hot water was out for 2 weeks as well. No compensation, no support. Minimal communication. A terrible company and a terrible landlord. The flat is in Icon Apartments, E1 4FX, so people can afford renting it.

WORST HOUSING

WORST HOUSING! Extremely disappointing experience with COHO. I have had ongoing issues with the property, including a faulty door lock, a broken drawer handle and Wi-Fi that does not work properly from my room. As a university student, having reliable internet is essential for submitting assignments, yet I was left without suitable Wi-Fi for an extended period. Till NOW! I repeatedly contacted management about these problems and was left waiting without a clear resolution and no response. I also contacted the emergency number multiple times without receiving an answer which was particularly concerning when I was having problems with the lock and was worried about being locked out AGAIN. I communicated these issues clearly and gave them opportunities to resolve them but the lack of communication and urgency has made this situation incredibly stressful. Being unable to rely on basic facilities that I was expecting to have when paying rent is unacceptable. Overall, I have found the handling of these issues extremely frustrating and would strongly encourage anyone considering renting through COHO/urban space to carefully reconsider and find somewhere to lease whilst you can.

**cliche warning** Shockingly Bad!

Cannot emphasise enough how terrible the service has been. When moving in only 1 set was provided instead of agreed 2. Raised this with urban spaces and the need for a 2nd key because my partner would be overseas while I needed to undertake care for my mother with dementia and would be returning while she was away. Ultimately was advised by an agent (Zenna) that a key would be available to collect in the middle of the week while we were still both there. It was not. When we followed up the agent (Zenna) did not respond. Raised this again and was advised again this time by Bianca) that a key would be available to collect. Should it not be she provided a number that she said would be able to help. Obviously they key was not available. And when calling the number I was provided with they advised they after a number of calls said they could not help because they were an out of hours number and it was a main office issue. I have been left without access to my own flat because of their inability to provide something they should have in the first instance. They have failed at every opportunity to provide a fix. Agents take no ownership of a problem. No solutions, or temporary support has been offered. Ultimately I have been left homeless over the weekend until the main office opens on Monday.
